< Joshua 4 >
1 And when the people had completely passed over Jordan, the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying,
Bere a ɔman no nyinaa twaa Yordan wiei no, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Yosua se,
2 Take men from the people, one of each tribe,
“Yiyi mmarima dumien fi ɔmanfo no mu a ɔbaako biara fi abusuakuw no bi mu,
3 and charge them; and you shall take out of the midst of Jordan twelve fit stones, and having carried them across together with yourselves, place them in your camp, where you shall encamp for the night.
na ka kyerɛ wɔn se, wɔmfa abo dumien mfi Yordan mfimfini nifa so wɔ faako a na asɔfo no gyina hɔ, na wɔnsoa mfa ntwa mmra mmegu faako a mobɛtena anadwo yi.”
4 And Joshua having called twelve men of distinction amongst the children of Israel, one of each tribe,
Ɛnna Yosua frɛɛ mmarima dumien a oyii wɔn fii Israelfo no mu no a ɔbaako biara fi abusuakuw bi mu no,
5 said to them, Advance before me in the presence of the Lord into the midst of Jordan, and each having taken up a stone from thence, let him carry it on his shoulders, according to the number of the twelve tribes of Israel:
na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Munkodi Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, adaka no anim mfa nkɔ Yordan mfimfini. Ɔbaako biara mfa ɔbo nto ne bati so sɛnea Israelfo mmusuakuw no dodow te,
6 that these may be to you continually for an appointed sign, that when your son asks you in future, saying, What are these stones to us?
na ɛnyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne wɔ mo mu. Sɛ daakye bi, mo mma bisa mo se, ‘Saa abo yi ase kyerɛ dɛn’ a,
7 then you may explain to your son, saying, The river Jordan was dried up from before the ark of the covenant of the Lord of the whole earth, when it passed it: and these stones shall be for a memorial for you for the children of Israel for ever.
monka nkyerɛ wɔn se, Yordan gyaee sen, gyinae wɔ Awurade apam adaka no anim, bere a Awurade apam adaka no retwa Yordan asubɔnten no. Saa abo yi bɛyɛ nkae ade ama Israelfo daa nyinaa.”
8 And the children of Israel did so, as the Lord commanded Joshua; and they took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, (as the Lord commanded Joshua, when the children of Israel had completely passed over, ) and carried these stones with them into the camp, and laid them down there.
Enti, mmarima no yɛɛ sɛnea Yosua kyerɛɛ wɔn no. Wɔfaa abo dumien fii Asubɔnten Yordan mfimfini a ɔbo baako biara gyina hɔ ma abusuakuw baako, sɛnea Awurade hyɛɛ Yosua no. Wɔsoa de kɔɔ faako a wɔtenaa hɔ anadwo no na wosii nkaedum wɔ hɔ.
9 And Joshua set also other twelve stones in Jordan itself, in the place that was under the feet of the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord; and there they are to this day.
Yosua nso de abo dumien sii nkaedum wɔ Yordan mfimfini wɔ faako a na asɔfo a wɔso apam Adaka no gyinae no. Ɛwɔ hɔ de besi nnɛ.
10 And the priests that bore the ark of the covenant stood in Jordan, until Joshua [had] finished all that the Lord commanded him to report to the people; and the people hasted and passed over.
Asɔfo a na wɔso adaka no gyinaa asu no mfimfini hɔ ara kosii sɛ wɔyɛɛ Awurade ahyɛde a ɔnam Mose so de maa Yosua no nyinaa. Saa bere no, nnipa no yɛɛ ntɛm twaa asu no koduu ne konkɔn so.
11 And it came to pass when all the people had passed over, that the ark of the covenant of the Lord passed over, and the stones before them.
Na bere a obiara duu asu no fa hɔ no, asɔfo no nso de Awurade adaka no twa kɔɔ hɔ bi.
12 And the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses commanded them.
Na akofo a wɔahyɛ wɔn akode a wofi Ruben abusuakuw mu, Gad abusuakuw mu ne Manase abusuakuw fa mu akofo no dii Israelfo no anim twaa Yordan sɛnea Mose kyerɛɛ wɔn no pɛpɛɛpɛ.
13 Forty thousand armed for battle went over before the Lord to war, to the city of Jericho.
Saa akofo yi, na wɔn dodow bɛyɛ mpem aduanan a wɔasiesie wɔn ho ama ɔko. Wotwa kɔɔ Yeriko asase so wɔ Awurade anim.
14 In that day the Lord magnified Joshua before all the people of Israel; and they feared him, as [they did] Moses, as long as he lived.
Saa da no, Awurade yɛɛ Yosua kɛse wɔ Israelfo no nyinaa anim; na Yosua nna a aka no nyinaa, Israelfo de obu ne nidi maa no sɛnea wɔde obu ne nidi maa Mose no.
15 And the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying,
Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Yosua se,
16 Charge the priests that bear the ark of the covenant of the testimony of the Lord, to go up out of Jordan.
“Hyɛ asɔfo a Awurade apam adaka no so wɔn no sɛ, womfi nsubon no mu hɔ mmra.”
17 And Joshua charged the priests, saying, Go up out of Jordan.
Enti, Yosua hyɛɛ wɔn.
18 And it came to pass when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord were gone up out of Jordan, and set their feet upon the land, [that] the water of Jordan returned impetuously to its place, and went as before over all its banks.
Na bere a asɔfo a wɔso Awurade apam adaka no fii nsubon no mu ara pɛ na Asubɔnten Yordan san ka sram so tɛnn te sɛ kan no.
19 And the people went up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month; and the children of Israel encamped in Galgala in the region eastward from Jericho.
Ɔsram a edi kan no da ɛto so du no nnipa no foro fii Yordan kɔbɔɔ atenae wɔ Gilgal, Yeriko apuei fam hye so.
20 And Joshua set these twelve stones which he took out of Jordan, in Galgala,

21 saying, When your sons ask you, saying, What are these stones?
Afei, Yosua ka kyerɛɛ Israelfo no se, “Daakye bi mo mma bebisa se, ‘Saa abo yi kyerɛ dɛn?’
22 Tell your sons, that Israel went over this Jordan on dry land,
Na mo nso moaka akyerɛ wɔn se, ‘Ɛha ne beae a Israelfo twaa Yordan wɔ asase wosee so no.’
23 when the Lord our God had dried up the water of Jordan from before them, until they had passed over; as the Lord our God did to the Red Sea, which the Lord our God dried up from before us, until we passed over.
Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, maa asu no yowee wɔ mo anim, na ɔkɔɔ so ma ɛyowee ara kosii sɛ mo nyinaa twae, sɛnea ɔyɛɛ Po Kɔkɔɔ no. Ɔmaa no yowee ara kosii sɛ yɛn nyinaa twae.
