< Job 35 >

1 And Elius resumed and said,
Afei, Elihu kaa sɛ:
2 What is this that you think to be according to right? who are you that you have said, I am righteous before the Lord?
“Wogye di sɛ yei fata? Woka sɛ, ‘Onyankopɔn bɛtwitwa agye me.’
3 I will answer you, and your three friends.
Nanso wobisa no sɛ, ‘Mfasoɔ bɛn na mɛnya, na sɛ manyɛ bɔne a, mfasoɔ bɛn na mɛnya?’
4 Look up to the sky and see; and consider the clouds, how high [they are] above you.
“Mepɛ sɛ mebua wo ne wo nnamfonom nyinaa.
5 If you have sinned, what will you do?
Ma wʼani so kyerɛ ɔsoro na hwɛ; hwɛ omununkum a ɛwɔ wʼatifi ɔsorosoro nohoa.
6 and if too you have transgressed much, what can you perform?
Sɛ woyɛ bɔne a, ɛkwan bɛn so na ɛsakyera Onyankopɔn? Mpo sɛ wo bɔne dɔɔso a, nsunsuansoɔ bɛn na ɛnya wo ne so?
7 And suppose you are righteous, what will you give him? or what shall he receive of your hand?
Sɛ wotene a, ɛdeɛn na wode ma noɔ anaasɛ ɛdeɛn na ɔnya firi wo nsam?
8 Your ungodliness [may affect] a man who is like to you; or your righteousness a son of man.
Wʼamumuyɛ pira onipa a ɔte sɛ wo na wo tenenee pira nnipa mma nko ara.
9 They that are oppressed of a multitude will be ready to cry out; they will call for help because of the arm of many.
“Nnipa su ɛberɛ a wɔwɔ nhyɛsoɔ ase; na wɔsrɛ mmoa firi deɛ ɔwɔ tumi nsam.
10 But none said, Where is God that made me, who appoints the night-watches;
Nanso, obi mmisa sɛ, ‘Ɛhe na Onyankopɔn, me Yɛfoɔ no wɔ, deɛ ɔma nnwom anadwo no,
11 who makes me to differ from the four-footed beasts of the earth, and from the birds of the sky?
deɛ ɔkyerɛ yɛn nimdeɛ bebree sene asase so mmoa na ɔma yɛhunu nyansa sene ewiem nnomaa?’
12 There they shall cry, and none shall listen, even because of the insolence of wicked men.
Sɛ nnipa su team a, ɔmmua, amumuyɛfoɔ ahantan enti.
13 For the Lord desires not to look on error, for he is the Almighty One.
Ampa ara Onyankopɔn rentie wɔn nkotosrɛ hunu no; na Otumfoɔ remmu.
14 He beholds them that perform lawless deeds, and he will save me: and do you plead before him, if you can praise him, as it is [possible] even now.
Woka sɛ wonhunu no, nanso sɛ wotwɛn no a, ɔde atɛntenenee bɛba enti ɛsɛ sɛ wotwɛn no.
15 For he is not [now] regarding his wrath, nor has he noticed severely any trespass.
Bio, woka sɛ nʼabufuo mmfa asotweɛ mma na nʼani nni amumuyɛsɛm akyi pii.
16 Yet Job vainly opens his mouth, in ignorance he multiplies words.
Enti Hiob bue nʼano ka nsɛm hunu; nimdeɛ a ɔnni enti, ɔkeka nsɛm bebree.”
