< Job 18 >
1 Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,
Pamenepo Bilidadi wa ku Suki anayankha kuti,
2 How long will you continue? forbear, that we also may speak.
“Kodi iwe Yobu utsiriza liti zoyankhula zakozi? Khala munthu wozindikira zinthu ndipo ukatero ife tidzayankhula.
3 For therefore have we been silent before you like brutes?
Chifukwa chiyani ukutiyesa ngati ngʼombe ndi kuoneka ngati opusa mʼmaso mwako?
4 Anger has possessed you: for what if you should die; would [the earth] under heaven be desolate? or shall the mountains be overthrown from their foundations?
Iwe amene ukudzipweteka wekha ndi mkwiyo wako, kodi dziko lapansi lisanduke bwinja chifukwa cha iweyo? Kodi kapena thanthwe lisunthidwe kuchoka pa malo ake?
5 But the light of the ungodly shall be quenched, and their flame shall not go up.
“Nyale ya munthu woyipa yazimitsidwa; malawi a moto wake sakuwalanso.
6 His light [shall be] darkness in [his] habitation, and his lamp shall be put out with him.
Kuwala kwa mʼnyumba mwake kwasanduka mdima; nyale ya pambali pake yazima.
7 Let the meanest of men spoil his goods, and let his counsel deceive [him].
Mayendedwe ake amgugu azilala; fundo zake zomwe zamugwetsa.
8 His foot also has been caught in a snare, [and] let it be entangled in a net.
Mapazi ake amulowetsa mu ukonde ndipo akungoyendayenda mu ukondewo.
9 And let snares come upon him: he shall strengthen those that thirst for his destruction.
Msampha wamkola mwendo; khwekhwe lamugwiritsitsa.
10 His snare is hid in the earth, and that which shall take him is by the path.
Amutchera msampha pansi mobisika; atchera diwa pa njira yake.
11 Let pains destroy him round about, and let many [enemies] come about him,
Zoopsa zikumuchititsa mantha kumbali zonse, zikutsatira mayendedwe ake onse.
12 [vex him] with distressing hunger: and a signal destruction has been prepared for him.
Mphamvu zake zatha chifukwa cha njala, tsoka likumudikira.
13 Let the soles of his feet be devoured: and death shall consume his beauty.
Wagwidwa nthenda yoopsa thupi lonse; miyendo yake, manja ake, zonse zawola.
14 And let health be utterly banished from his tabernacle, and let distress seize upon him with a charge from the king.
Wachotsedwa mʼnyumba imene ankadalira, ndipo amukokera ku imfa, mfumu ya zoopsa zonse.
15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle in his night: his excellency shall be sown with brimstone.
Mʼnyumba mwake zonse zachotsedwamo; awazamo sulufule kuti aphe tizirombo ta matenda.
16 His roots shall be dried up from beneath, and his crop shall fall away from above.
Mizu yake ikuwuma pansi ndipo nthambi zake zikufota
17 Let his memorial perish out of the earth, and his name shall be publicly cast out.
Sadzakumbukiridwanso pa dziko lapansi; sadzakhalanso ndi chinthu chomutchukitsa mʼdziko.
18 Let [one] drive him from light into darkness.
Amuchotsa pa malo owala ndi kumuponya ku mdima, ndipo amupirikitsa pa dziko lonse.
19 He shall not be known amongst his people, nor his house preserved on the earth.
Iye alibe ana kapena zidzukulu pakati pa anthu ake, kulibe wotsala kumene iye ankakhala.
20 But strangers shall dwell in his possessions: the last groaned for him, and wonder seized the first.
Anthu akumadzulo adabwa kwambiri ndi tsoka lake; anthu akummawa agwidwa ndi mantha aakulu.
21 These are the houses of the unrighteous, and this is the place of them that know not the Lord.
Ndithudi, izi ndiye zimagwera munthu woyipa; amenewa ndiye mathero a munthu amene sadziwa Mulungu.”
