Jeremias 52
1 It was the twenty-first year of Sedekias, when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Amitaal, the daughter of Jeremias, of Lobena.
Era Sedecías de edad de veinte y un años cuando comenzó a reinar; y reinó once años en Jerusalem. Su madre se llamaba Amital, hija de Jeremías de Lebna.
E hizo lo malo en los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todo lo que hizo Joacim.
Porque a causa de la ira que tuvo Jehová contra Jerusalem, y Judá, hasta echarlos de su presencia, Sedecías rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the ninth month, on the tenth day of the month, [that] Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and they made a rampart round it, and built a wall round about it with large stones.
Aconteció pues a los nueve años de su reino, en el mes décimo, a los diez días del mes, que vino Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, él y todo su ejército contra Jerusalem, y asentaron sobre ella campo, y edificaron sobre ella bastiones de todas partes.
5 So the city was besieged, until the eleventh year of king Sedekias,
Y estuvo cercada la ciudad hasta el undécimo año del rey Sedecías.
6 on the ninth day of the month, and [then] the famine was severe in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
En el mes cuarto, a los nueve del mes, prevaleció la hambre en la ciudad hasta no haber pan para el pueblo de la tierra.
7 And the city was broken up, and all the men of war went out by night by the way of the gate, between the wall and the outworks, which were by the king's garden; and the Chaldeans were by the city round about; and they went by the way [leading] to the wilderness.
Y fue entrada la ciudad, y todos los hombres de guerra huyeron, y saliéronse de la ciudad de noche por el camino del postigo que está entre los dos muros, que estaban cerca del jardín del rey, y fuéronse por el camino del desierto, estando aun los Caldeos junto a la ciudad al derredor.
8 But the host of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the [country] beyond Jericho; and all his servants were dispersed from [about] him.
Y el ejército de los Caldeos siguió al rey, y alcanzaron a Sedecías en los llanos de Jericó, y todo su ejército se esparció de él.
9 And they took the king, and brought him to the king of Babylon to Deblatha, and he judged him.
Prendieron pues al rey, e hiciéronle venir al rey de Babilonia en Reblata en tierra de Emat; y pronunció contra él sentencia.
10 And the king of Babylon killed the sons of Sedekias before his eyes; and he killed all the princes of Juda in Deblatha.
Y degolló el rey de Babilonia a los hijos de Sedecías delante de sus ojos, y también degolló a todos los príncipes de Judá en Reblata.
11 And he put out the eyes of Sedekias, and bound him in fetters; and the king of Babylon brought him to Babylon, and put him into the grinding-house, until the day when he died.
A Sedecías empero sacó los ojos, y púsole en grillos, e hízole el rey de Babilonia traer a Babilonia; y púsole en la casa de la cárcel hasta el día que murió.
12 And in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nabuzardan the captain of the guard, who waited on the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem;
Y en el mes quinto a los diez del mes, que era este año el año diez y nueve del reino de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, vino a Jerusalem Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, que solía estar delante del rey de Babilonia.
13 and he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and all the houses of the city, and every great house he burnt with fire.
Y encendió a fuego la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalem; y toda grande casa quemó a fuego.
14 And the host of the Chaldeans that was with the captain of the guard pulled down all the wall of Jerusalem round about.
Y todo el ejército de los Caldeos, que venía con el capitán de la guarda, destruyó todos los muros de Jerusalem en derredor.
E hizo traspasar Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, los pobres del pueblo, y toda la otra gente vulgar que habían quedado en la ciudad, y los fugitivos, que se habían huido al rey de Babilonia, y todo el resto de la multitud vulgar.
16 But the captain of the guard left the remnant of the people to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
Mas de los pobres de la tierra dejó Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, para viñeros y labradores.
17 And the Chaldeans broke in pieces the brazen pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of the Lord, and they took the brass thereof, and carried it away to Babylon.
Y los Caldeos quebraron las columnas de metal que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el mar de metal, que estaba en la casa de Jehová; y llevaron todo el metal a Babilonia.
18 Also the rim, and the bowls, and the flesh hooks, and all the brazen vessels, wherewith they ministered;
Llevaron también los calderos, y los badiles, y los salterios, y las tazas, y los cucharones, y todos los vasos de metal con que se servían;
19 and the basins, and the snuffers, and the oil-funnels, and the candlesticks, and the censers, and the cups, the golden, of gold, and the silver, of silver, the captain of the guard took away.
Y las copas, e incensarios, y lebrillos, y ollas, y candeleros, y escudillas, y tazas: lo que de oro de oro, y lo que de plata de plata, llevó el capitán de la guarda:
20 And the two pillars, and the one sea, and the twelve brazen oxen under the sea, which [things] king Solomon made for the house of the Lord; the brass of which [articles] was without weight.
Dos columnas, un mar, y doce bueyes de metal que estaban debajo de las basas, que hizo el rey Salomón en la casa de Jehová: no se podía pesar el metal de todos estos vasos.
21 And as for the pillars, the height of one pillar was thirty-five cubits; and a line of twelve cubits compassed it round; and the thickness of it [all] round was four fingers.
Cuanto a las columnas, la altura de la una columna era diez y ocho codos, y una cuerda de doce codos la cercaba de cuatro dedos de grueso de vaciadizo.
22 And [there was] a brazen chapiter upon them, and the length was five cubits, [even] the height of one chapiter; and [there were] on the chapiter round about network and pomegranates, all of brass: and correspondingly the second pillar [had] eight pomegranates to a cubit for the twelve cubits.
Y el capitel de metal que estaba sobre ella era de altura de cinco codos, y había una red, y granadas en el capitel al derredor, todo de metal; y otro tanto era lo de la segunda columna con sus granadas.
23 And the pomegranates were ninety-six on a side; and all the pomegranates on the network round about were a hundred.
Había noventa y seis granadas en cada orden: todas ellas eran ciento sobre la red al derredor.
24 And the captain of the guard took the chief priest, and the second priest, and those that kept the way;
Tomó también el capitán de la guarda a Saraías sacerdote principal, y a Sofonías segundo sacerdote, y tres guardas de la puerta:
25 and one eunuch, who was over the men of war, and seven men of renown, who were in the king's presence that were found in the city; and the scribe of the forces, who did the part of a scribe to the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the midst of the city.
Y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco que era capitán sobre los hombres de guerra, y siete hombres de los que veían la cara del rey, que se hallaron en la ciudad, y el principal escribano de la guerra que cogía al pueblo de la tierra para la guerra, y sesenta varones del vulgo de la tierra, que se hallaron dentro de la ciudad:
26 And Nabuzardan the captain of the king's guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Deblatha.
Tomólos Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, y trájolos al rey de Babilonia a Reblata.
27 And the king of Babylon struck them in Deblatha, in the land of Aemath.
Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió, y los mató en Reblata en tierra de Emat; y Judá fue trasportado de su tierra.
Este es el pueblo que Nabucodonosor hizo traspasar en el año séptimo, tres mil y veinte y tres Judíos.
En el año diez y ocho Nabucodonosor hizo traspasar de Jerusalem ochocientas y treinta y dos personas.
El año veinte y tres de Nabucodonosor, traspasó Nabuzardán, capitán de la guarda, setecientas y cuarenta y cinco personas de los Judíos: todas las personas son cuatro mil y seiscientas.
31 And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year after that Joakim king of Juda had been carried away captive, in the twelfth month, on the four and twentieth [day] of the month, [that] Ulaemadachar king of Babylon, in the year in which he began to reign, raised the head of Joakim king of Juda, and shaved him, and brought him out of the house where he was kept,
Y acaeció que en el año treinta y siete de la cautividad de Joacín, rey de Judá, en el mes doceno a los veinte y cinco del mes, Evil-merodac, rey de Babilonia, en el año primero de su reino, alzó la cabeza de Joacín, rey de Judá, y le sacó de la casa de la cárcel.
32 and spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the kings that were with him in Babylon,
Y habló con él amigablemente, e hizo poner su trono sobre los tronos de los reyes que estaban con él en Babilonia.
33 and changed his prison garments: and he ate bread continually before him all the days that he lived.
E hízole mudar las ropas de su cárcel, y comía pan delante de él siempre todos los días de su vida.
34 And his appointed portion was given him continually by the king of Babylon from day to day, until the day when he died.
Y continuamente se le daba ración por el rey de Babilonia, cada cosa en su día, todos los días de su vida, hasta el día que murió.
