Jeremias 5

1 Run you about in the streets of Jerusalem, and see, and know, and seek in her broad places, if you can find [one], if there is any one that does judgement, and seeks faithfulness; and I will pardon them, says the Lord.

၁ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ကို အပြစ်မှ ငါလွှတ်မည် အကြောင်း၊ တရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောမြို့သား၊ သစ္စာစောင့် သောမြို့သား တစုံတယောက်မျှရှိလျှင်၊ ထိုသူကို တွေ့အံ့ သောငှါ၊ မြို့လမ်းတို့၌ တောင်မြောက်ပြေး၍၊ ကျယ်သော အရပ်တို့၌ ရှာဖွေကြည့်ရှုကြလော့။

2 The Lord lives, they say; do they not therefore swear falsely?

၂သူတို့က၊ ထာဝရဘုရား အသက်ရှင်တော်မူ သည်ဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊ အကယ်စင်စစ်မဟုတ်မမှန် ကျိန်ဆိုတတ်ကြ၏။

3 O Lord, your eyes are upon faithfulness: you have scourged them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them; but they would not receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; and they would not return.

၃အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် သစ္စာ တရားကို ထောက်ရှုတော်မူသည် မဟုတ်လော။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မူသော်လည်း သူတို့သည် ညှိုးငယ်သောစိတ်မရှိကြပါ။ ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သည် ဆုံးမခြင်းကို ငြင်းပယ်ကြပါပြီ။ မိမိတို့ မျက်နှာ ကို ကျောက်ထက်သာ၍ မာစေကြပါပြီ။ ငါတို့သည် ပြန်၍ မလာဟု ငြင်းဆန်လျက်နေကြပါပြီ။

4 Then I said, It may be they are poor; for they are weak, for they know not the way of the Lord, or the judgement of God.

၄ငါကလည်း၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် ဤသူတို့သည် ဆင်းရဲသားဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တရားတော်ကို၎င်း၊ မိမိတို့ ဘုရားသခင်စီရင်တော်မူရာကို၎င်း၊ မသိ သောကြောင့် မိုက်ကြ၏။

5 I will go to the rich men, and will speak to them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgement of God: but, behold, with one consent they have broken the yoke, they have burst the bonds.

၅လူကြီးများထံသို့ ငါသွား၍ပြောမည်။ သူတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တရားတော်ကို၎င်း၊ မိမိတို့ဘုရားသခင် စီရင်တော်မူရာကို၎င်း သိကြ၏ဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့ သည် ထမ်းဘိုးတော်ကိုချိုး၍၊ အနှောင်အဖွဲ့တော်တို့ကို ဖြတ်ကြပြီ။

6 Therefore has a lion out of the forest struck them, and a wolf has destroyed them even to [their] houses, and a leopard has watched against their cities: all that go forth from them shall be hunted: for they have multiplied their ungodliness, they have strengthened themselves in their revoltings.

၆ထိုကြောင့်၊ တောမှလာသော ခြင်္သေ့သည် သူတို့ ကို သတ်လိမ့်မည်။ ညဦးယံ၌ လည်တတ်သော တောခွေး သည် သူတို့ကို ကိုက်စားလိမ့်မည်။ ကျားသစ်သည် သူတို့မြို့ကို စောင့်၍၊ မြို့ပြင်သို့ထွက် သွားသောသူ အပေါင်းတို့ကို အပိုင်းပိုင်းဖြတ်လိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူ ကား၊ သူတို့ပြစ်မှားသော အပြစ်များ၍၊ အကြိမ်ကြိမ် အထပ်ထပ် ဖောက်ပြန်ကြပြီ။

7 In what [way] shall I forgive you for these things? Your sons have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: and I fed them to the full, and they committed adultery, and lodged in harlots' houses.

၇ထိုသို့သော အပြစ်မှ သင့်ကို အဘယ်သို့ ငါလွှတ် နိုင်သနည်း။ သင်၏ သားသမီးတို့သည် ငါ့ကိုစွန့်၍၊ ဘုရားမဟုတ်သော သူတို့ကို တိုင်တည်လျက် ကျိန်ဆို ကြပြီ။ ငါသည်ဝစွာကျွေးသော အခါသူတို့သည် ပြည်တန် ဆာအိမ်၌ စည်းဝေး၍ မှားယွင်းကြပြီ။

8 They became as wanton horses: they neighed each one after his neighbour's wife.

၈ဝစွာစားရသော မြင်းကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ အသီးအသီး အိမ်နီးချင်းမယားတို့ကို တပ်သောစိတ်နှင့် ဟီကြပြီ။

9 Shall I not visit for these things? says the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this.

၉ထိုသို့သောအပြစ်တို့ကို ငါသည် မစစ်ကြောဘဲ နေရမည်လော။ ထိုသို့သောအမျိုးကို ဒဏ်ပေး၍၊ ငါ့စိတ် ချင်ရဲမပြေဘဲ နေရမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

10 Go up upon her battlements, and break [them] down; but make not a full end: leave her buttresses: for they are the Lord's.

၁၀မြို့ရိုးပေါ်သို့တက်၍ ဖျက်ဆီးကြလော့။ ပျက်စီး ခြင်းကို မစဲစေကြနှင့်။ ခြေလက်တို့ကို ပယ်ရှင်းကြလော့။ ထာဝရဘုရားဆိုင်တော်မမူ။

11 For the house of Israel have indeed dealt treacherously against me, says the Lord: the house of Juda also

၁၁ဣသရေလအမျိုးနှင့် ယုဒအမျိုးတို့သည် ငါ့ထံ၌ ခံဘူးသော သစ္စာကိုဖျက်ကြပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

12 have lied to their Lord, and they have said, These things are not so; no evils shall come upon us; and we shall not see sword or famine.

၁၂သူတို့က၊ ထာဝရဘုရားမရှိ။ ငါတို့အပေါ်၌ ဘေးဥပဒ် မရောက်ရ။ ထားဘေး၊ မွတ်သိပ်ခြင်းဘေးကို ငါတို့သည် မတွေ့ရကြ။

13 Our prophets became wind, and the word of the Lord was not in them.

၁၃ပရောဖက်တို့သည် လေသက်သက်ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သူတို့၌ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်မရှိ။ သူတို့ဟောပြောသည် အတိုင်း သူတို့ခံရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားကို ငြင်းပယ် လျက်ဆိုတတ်ကြ၏။

14 Therefore thus says the Lord Almighty, Because you have spoken this word, behold, I have made my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

၁၄သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သူတို့သည် ထိုသို့ဆိုသောကြောင့်၊ ငါ့စကားကို သင်၏နှုတ်၌ မီးကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ဤလူမျိုးကိုထင်းကဲ့သို့၎င်း ငါဖြစ်စေ၍ သူတို့ကို မီးလောင်ရလိမ့်မည်။

15 Behold, I [will] bring upon you a nation from far, O house of Israel, says the Lord; a nation the sound of whose language one shall not understand.

၁၅ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အို ဣသ ရေလအမျိုး၊ သင့်ကို တိုက်စေဘို့လူတမျိုးကို ဝေးသော အရပ်ကငါဆောင်ခဲ့မည်။ အားကြီးသောအမျိုး၊ ရှေး ကာလ၌ ဖြစ်ဘူးသောအမျိုး၊ သူတို့စကားကို သင်မသိ နားမလည်သော အမျိုးဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

16 [They are] all mighty men:

၁၆သူတို့ မြှားတောင့်သည် ဖွင့်ထားသော သင်္ချိုင်း တွင်းဖြစ်၏။ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ခွန်အားကြီးသောသူ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

17 and they shall devour your harvest, and your bread; and shall devour your sons, and your daughters; and they shall devour your sheep, and your calves, and devour your vineyards, and your fig-plantations, and your olive yards: and they shall utterly destroy your strong cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.

၁၇ထိုသူတို့သည် သင်၏အသီးအနှံနှင့် သင်၏မုန့် ကို စားကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်၏သားသမီးတို့ကိုလည်း စားကြ လိမ့်မည်။ သင်၏သိုးနွားတို့ကိုလည်း စားကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်၏စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်နှင့် သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်တို့ကိုလည်း စားကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်ခိုလှုံ၍ ခိုင်ခံ့သောမြို့တို့ကိုလည်း တိုက်၍ လုပ်ကြံကြလိမ့်မည်။

18 And it shall come to pass in those days, says the Lord your God, that I will not utterly destroy you.

၁၈သို့ရာတွင်၊ ထိုကာလ၌ ငါသည် သင်၏အမှုကို မဆုံးဖြတ်သေးဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

19 And it shall come to pass, when you shall say, Therefore has the Lord our God done all these things to us? that you shall say to them, Because you served strange gods in your land, so shall you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

၁၉သင်တို့ကလည်း၊ ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည်၊ ငါတို့၌ ဤအမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် စီရင်တော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးကြေသောအခါ၊ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍၊ ကိုယ်ပိုင်သော ပြည်၌ တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံ ဘုရားတို့၏ အမှုကိုဆောင်ရွက်သကဲ့သို့၊ ကိုယ်မပိုင်သော ပြည်၌ တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံသားတို့၏ အမှုကိုဆောင်ရွက် ရကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ သင်သည်သူတို့အား ဆင့်ဆိုရမည်။

20 Proclaim these things to the house of Jacob, and let them be heard in the house of Juda.

၂၀ယာကုပ်အမျိုးနေရာ ယုဒပြည်၌ ဟောပြော ကြွေးကြော်ရမည်မှာ၊

21 Hear you now these things, O foolish and senseless people; who have eyes, and see not; and have ears, and hear not:

၂၁အို မျက်စိရှိလျက်နှင့် မမြင်၊ နားရှိလျက်နှင့် မကြား၊ ဥာဏ်မဲ့သော လူမိုက်တို့၊ နားထောင်ကြလော့။

22 will you not be afraid of me? says the Lord; and will you not fear before me, who have set the sand for a bound to the sea, [as] a perpetual ordinance, and it shall not pass it: yes, it shall rage, but not prevail; and its waves shall roar, but not pass over it.

၂၂ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ပင်လယ် မလွန်နိုင်အောင် ဆီးတားဘို့ရာ သဲကိုထာဝရ အပိုင်း အခြားခန့်ထားသော ငါကို သင်တို့သည် မကြောက်ကြ သလော။ ငါ၏ရှေ့တော်၌ မတုန်လှုပ်ကြသလော။ ပင်လယ်လှိုင်းတံပိုးတို့သည် ထ၍မနိုင်၊ ဟုန်း၍မကျော် မလွန်နိုင်သော်လည်း၊

23 But this people has a disobedient and rebellious heart; and they have turned aside and gone back:

၂၃ဤလူမျိုးသည် ပြစ်မှားပုန်ကန်သော သဘော ရှိ၍၊ အစဉ်ပုန်ကန်တတ်ကြ၏။

24 and they have not said in their heart, Let us fear now the Lord our God, who gives us the early and latter rain, according to the season of the fulfilment of the ordinance of harvest, and has preserved [it] for us.

၂၄အချိန်တန်မှ အရင်မိုဃ်းနှင့် နောက်မိုဃ်းကို ရွာစေ၍၊ အသီးအနှံသိမ်းမြဲသိမ်းရာ ကာလကို ငါတို့အဘို့ သိုထားတော်မူသော ငါတို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ယခုကြောက်ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု၊ သူတို့သည် စိတ်နှလုံးထဲ၌ မဆိုတတ်ကြ။

25 Your transgressions have turned away these things, and your sins have removed good things from you.

၂၅သင်တို့ဒုစရိုက်သည် ထိုသို့သော အရာတို့ကို လွှဲ၍၊ သင်တို့အပြစ်သည် သင်တို့၏ မင်္ဂလာကို ဆီးတား လေပြီ။

26 For amongst my people were found ungodly men; and they have set snares to destroy men, and have caught [them].

၂၆ဝပ်လျက်နေသော မုဆိုးကဲ့သို့ ချောင်းမြောင်း သော လူဆိုးတို့သည် ငါ၏လူတို့တွင်ရှိကြ၏။ လူတို့ကို ထောင်ခြင်းငှါ ထောင်ချောက်ကို ထားကြပြီ။

27 As a snare which has been set is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore have they grown great, and become rich:

၂၇ငှက်ထောင်အိမ်သည် ငှက်တို့နှင့် ပြည့်သကဲ့သို့၊ သူတို့အိမ်သည် လှည့်စားခြင်းပရိယာယ်နှင့်ပြည့်၏။ ထိုသို့သူတို့သည် အားတိုးပွါး၍ ရတတ်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။

28 and they have transgressed [the rule of] judgement; they have not judged the cause of the orphan, nor have they judged the cause of the widow.

၂၈ဝလျက်၊ မျက်နှာပြောင်လျက်ရှိကြ၏။ ဆိုးသော သူတို့ထက်သာ၍ ဆိုးကြ၏။ တရားသဖြင့်မစီရင်ကြ။ မိဘမရှိသောသူငယ်၏အမှုကို စောင့်၍ အနိုင်မပေးကြ။ ဆင်းရဲသော သူဘက်၌ တရားသဖြင့် မစီရင်ကြ။

29 Shall I not visit for these things? says the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

၂၉ထိုသို့သော အပြစ်တို့ကို ငါသည် မစစ်ကြောဘဲ နေရမည်လော။ ထိုသို့သော အမျိုးကို ဒဏ်ပေး၍၊ ငါစိတ် ချင်ရဲမပြေဘဲ နေရမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

30 Shocking and horrible deeds have been done on the land;

၃၀အံ့ဩရွံရှာဘွယ်သော အမှုကို ပြည်တော်၌ ပြုကြ၏။

31 the prophets utter unrighteous prophecies, and the priests have clapped their hands: and my people has loved [to have it] thus: and what will you do for the future.

၃၁ပရောဖက်တို့သည် မဟုတ်မမှန်ဟောပြော ကြ၏။ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်တို့သည် ဝန်ခံ၍ အစိုးရကြ၏။ ထိုသို့သောအမှုကို ငါ၏လူတို့သည် နှစ်သက်ကြ၏။ ထိုအမှုဆုံးသောအခါ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်သို့ပြုကြလိမ့် မည်နည်း။
