Jeremias 33
1 IN THE BEGINNING OF THE REIGN OF KING JOAKIM SON OF JOSIAS THERE CAME THIS WORD FROM THE LORD.
১সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য দ্বিতীয়বার যিরমিয়ের কাছে এল, যখন তিনি পাহারাদারদের উঠানে বন্দী ছিলেন। এটি হল,
2 Thus said the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord's house, and you shall declare to all the Jews, and to all that come to worship in the house of the Lord, all the words which I commanded you to speak to them; abate not one word.
২“সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তা সদাপ্রভু, যিনি এটিকে আকার দেন ও প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন তাঁর নাম সদাপ্রভু, তিনি এই কথা বলেন,
3 Peradventure they will hear, and turn every one from his evil way: then I will cease from the evils which I purpose to do to them, because of their evil practices.
৩‘আমাকে ডাক, আমি তোমাকে উত্তর দেব। এমন মহৎ ও এমন গোপন জিনিস দেখাব, যা তুমি জান না’।”
4 And you shall say, Thus said the Lord; If you will not listen to me, to walk in my statutes which I set before you,
৪কারণ সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই শহরের বাড়িগুলি ও যিহূদার রাজবাড়ীগুলি সম্মন্ধে এই কথা বলেন, যেগুলি স্তূপ ও তরোয়ালের কারণে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়েছে;
5 to listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I send to you early in the morning; yes, I sent them, but you listened not to me;
৫কলদীয়রা যুদ্ধ করতে এবং বাড়িগুলি মৃতদেহে ভর্তি করতে আসছে; যাদের আমি আমার রোষ ও ক্রোধে হত্যা করব, যখন এই শহরের লোকের সমস্ত মন্দতার জন্য তাদের থেকে আমি মুখ লুকাই।
6 then will I make this house as Selo, and I will make [this] city a curse to all the nations of all the earth.
৬কিন্তু দেখ, আমি সুস্থতা ও প্রতিকার আনব; কারণ আমি তাদের সুস্থ করব এবং তাদের কাছে প্রাচুর্য্য, শান্তি ও বিশ্বস্ততা আনব।
7 And the priests, and the false prophets, and all the people heard Jeremias speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
৭কারণ আমি যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলের অবস্থা ফিরিয়ে আনব; শুরুর মত করে আমি তাদের গড়ে তুলব।
8 And it came to pass, when Jeremias had ceased speaking all that the Lord had ordered him to speak to all the people, that the priests and the false prophets and all the people took him, saying,
৮তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে যে সমস্ত পাপ করেছে, তা থেকে আমি তাদের শুচি করব। আমার বিরুদ্ধে করা তাদের সমস্ত পাপ ও আমার বিরুদ্ধে করার সমস্ত কাজের পাপ আমি ক্ষমা করব।
9 You shall surely die, because you have prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, This house shall be as Selo, and this city shall be made quite destitute of inhabitants. And all the people assembled against Jeremias in the house of the Lord.
৯কারণ এই শহর পৃথিবীর সমস্ত জাতির সামনে আমার পক্ষে আনন্দের পাত্র, প্রশংসার গান ও সম্মানজনক হবে; আমি তার যে সব মঙ্গল করব, সেই জাতিরা তা শুনবে, আর আমি এই শহরে যে সমস্ত মঙ্গল ও শান্তি দেব, তা দেখে তারা ভয়ে কাঁপতে থাকবে।
10 And the princes of Juda heard this word, and they went up out of the house of the king to the house of the Lord, and sat in the entrance of the new gate.
১০সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “এখন তোমরা এই জায়গা সম্বন্ধে বলছ, ‘এটা একটি পতিত জমি; যিহূদার শহরগুলিতে মানুষ বা পশু কিছুই নেই এবং যিরূশালেমের রাস্তাগুলি খালি পড়ে আছে’।
11 Then the priests and the false prophets said to the princes and to all the people, The judgement of death [is due] to this man; because he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.
১১এখানে পুনরায় আমোদ ও আনন্দের শব্দ, বর ও কনের গলার স্বর শোনা যাবে এবং তাদের শব্দও শোনা যাবে, যারা বলে, ‘বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দাও, কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময় এবং তাঁর বিশ্বস্ততার চুক্তি চিরকাল স্থায়ী’। আমার গৃহে মঙ্গলার্থক বলি উত্সর্গ কর, কারণ শুরুর মতই আমি এই দেশের অবস্থা ফেরাব।” সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
12 Then Jeremias spoke to the princes, and to all the people, saying, The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city, all the words which you have heard.
১২বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “এই পতিত জমিতে, যেখানে মানুষ ও পশু কিছুই নেই; পুনরায় সেখানে এবং সেখানকার সমস্ত শহরগুলি মেষপালকদের জন্য পশুর চারণ ভূমি হবে, যারা তাদের পশুপালকে শয়ন করাবে।
13 And now amend your ways and your works, and listen to the voice of the Lord; and the Lord shall cease from the evils which he has pronounced against you.
১৩পার্বত্য অঞ্চল, নিম্নভূমি, নেগেভের সমস্ত শহরে; বিন্যামীন দেশে, যিরূশালেমের চারপাশের এলাকায় এবং যিহূদার সমস্ত শহরে, যারা পশু গণনাকারী লোকের হাতের নীচে পশুর পাল যাওয়া-আসা করবে।” সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
14 And behold, I am in your hands; do to me as is expedient, and as it is best for you.
১৪“দেখ! সেই দিন আসছে” এটা সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা, “যখন আমি আমার প্রতিজ্ঞা পূরণ করব, যা আমি ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার লোকদের কাছে করেছিলাম।
15 But know for a certainty, that if you kill me, you bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon them that dwell in it; for in truth the Lord has sent me to you to speak in your ears all these words.
১৫সেই দিন গুলিতে ও সেই দিনের আমি দায়ূদের বংশ থেকে ধার্মিকতার একটি শাখাকে উত্পন্ন করব; তিনি দেশে ন্যায়বিচার ও ধার্ম্মিকতা প্রতিষ্ঠিত করবেন।
16 Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the false prophets; Judgement of death is not [due] to this man; for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.
১৬সেই দিনের যিহূদা রক্ষা পাবে এবং যিরূশালেম নিরাপদে বাস করবে। কারণ তাঁকে এই নামে ডাকা হবে ‘সদাপ্রভু আমাদের ধার্ম্মিকতা’।
17 And there rose up men of the elders of the land, and said to all the assembly of the people,
১৭কারণ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘ইস্রায়েল বংশের সিংহাসনে বসার জন্য দায়ূদের সম্পর্কীয় পুরুষের অভাব হবে না,
18 Michaeas the Morathite lived in the days of Ezekias king of Juda, and said to all the people of Juda, Thus says the Lord; Sion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become a desolation, and the mountain of the house shall be a thicket of trees.
১৮আমার সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে সর্বদা হোম উত্সর্গ, ভক্ষ্য নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গের ও বলিদান করতে লেবীয় যাজকদের মধ্যেও লোকের অভাব হবে না’।”
19 Did Ezekias and all Juda in any way kill him? Was it not that they feared the Lord, and they made supplication before the Lord, and the Lord ceased from the evils which he [had] pronounced against them? whereas we have wrought great evil against our own souls.
১৯সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য যিরমিয়ের কাছে এল এবং বলল,
20 And there was [another] man prophesying in the name of the Lord, Urias the son of Samaeas of Cariathiarim; and he prophesied concerning this land according to all the words of Jeremias.
২০“সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘দিন ও রাত সম্বন্ধে আমার যে নিয়ম তা যদি ভাঙ্গ, যাতে সঠিক দিনের রাত বা দিন না হয়,
21 And king Joakim and all the princes heard all his words, and sought to kill him; and Urias heard [it] and went into Egypt.
২১তাহলে আমার দাস দায়ূদের সঙ্গে আমার যে চুক্তি আছে, সেটি তুমি ভেঙে ফেলতে সক্ষম হবে, তার সিংহাসনে বসতে লোকের অভাব হবে এবং আমার দাস লেবীয় যাজকদের সঙ্গে আমার চুক্তিও ভেঙে ফেলবে।
22 And the king sent men into Egypt;
২২আকাশমণ্ডলের বাহিনী যেমন গোনা যায় না ও সমুদ্রের বালি যেমন পরিমাপ করা যায় না; তেমনি আমার দাস দায়ূদের বংশধরদের এবং আমার দাস লেবীয়দেরকে বৃদ্ধি করব’।”
23 and they brought him thence, and brought him into the king; and he struck him with the sword, and cast him into the sepulchre of the children of his people.
২৩সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য যিরমিয়ের কাছে এল এবং বলল,
24 Nevertheless the hand of Achicam son of Saphan was with Jeremias, to prevent his being delivered into the hands of the people, or being killed.
২৪“এই লোকেরা যা বলেছে তুমি কি তা বুঝতে পারনি? তারা বলেছে, ‘সদাপ্রভু যে দুই গোষ্ঠীকে মনোনীত করেছিলেন, এখন তিনি তাদেরকে অগ্রাহ্য করছেন; এই ভাবে তারা আমার প্রজাদেরকে তুচ্ছ করে, তাদের কাছে তারা একটি জাতি হিসাবে পরিচিত হয় না’।
২৫আমি, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলি, ‘দিন ও রাত সম্বন্ধে আমার নিয়ম যদি না থাকে, যদি আকাশমণ্ডল ও পৃথিবীর সম্বন্ধে আমার নিয়ম নির্ধারণ না করি,
২৬তাহলে যাকোব ও আমার দাস দায়ূদের বংশধরদের অগ্রাহ্য করে অব্রাহাম, ইসহাক ও যাকোবের বংশধরদের শাসনকর্ত্তা করার জন্য তার বংশ থেকে লোক গ্রহণ করব না। কারণ আমি তাদের অবস্থা ফেরাব ও তাদের উপর করুণা করব’।”
