Jeremias 2
1 And he said, Thus says the Lord,
ଆହୁରି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା, ଯଥା,
2 I remember the kindness of your youth, and the love of your espousals,
“ଯାଅ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚରରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରି କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଯୌବନାବସ୍ଥାର ଭକ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିବାହ ସମୟର ପ୍ରେମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଅବୁଣା ଦେଶରେ କିରୂପେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କଲ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରୁଅଛୁ।
3 in following the Holy One of Israel, says the Lord, Israel was the holy [people] to the Lord, [and] the first fruits of his increase: all that devoured him shall offend; evils shall come upon them, says the Lord.
ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆୟର ପ୍ରଥମ ଫଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଥିଲା। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି, ସେସମସ୍ତେ ଦୋଷୀ ଗଣାଯିବେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟିବ,” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and every family of the house of Israel.
ହେ ଯାକୁବର ବଂଶ, ଆଉ ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶର ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀସବୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ;
5 Thus says the Lord, What trespass have your fathers found in me, that they have revolted far from me, and gone after vanities, and become vain?
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରେ କେଉଁ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଅସାର ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କରି ନିଜେ ଅସାର ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି?
6 And they said not, Where is the Lord, who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who guided us in the wilderness, in an untried and trackless land, in a land which no man at all went through, and no man lived there?
ଅଥବା ‘ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ, ଯେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରର, ମରୁଭୂମି ଓ ଗର୍ତ୍ତମୟ ଦେଶର, ଆଉ ନିର୍ଜଳ ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାରୂପ ଦେଶର, ପୁଣି ପଥିକବିହୀନ ଓ ନିବାସୀଶୂନ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କଢ଼ାଇ ଆଣିଲେ, ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କାହାନ୍ତି,’ ଏହା ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
7 And I brought you to Carmel, that you should eat the fruits thereof, and the good thereof; and you went in, and defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଫଳ ଓ ଅତ୍ୟୁତ୍ତମ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଅତି ଉର୍ବରା ଦେଶକୁ ଆଣିଲୁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ଆମ୍ଭ ଦେଶକୁ ଅଶୁଚି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ଅଧିକାରକୁ ଘୃଣାସ୍ପଦ କଲ।
8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that held by the law knew me not: the shepherds also sinned against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and went after that which profited not.
‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କାହାନ୍ତି,’ ଏହା ଯାଜକମାନେ କହିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ହସ୍ତରେ ଧରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଜାଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚରଣ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ବାଲ୍ଦେବ ନାମରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ ଓ ନିଷ୍ଫଳ ବସ୍ତୁମାନର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କଲେ।
9 Therefore I will yet plead with you, and will plead with your children's children.
ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆହୁରି ପ୍ରତିବାଦ କରିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସନ୍ତାନ ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ କରିବା।
10 For go to the isles of the Chettians, and se; and send to Kedar, and observe accurately, and see if such things have been done;
ପାର ହୋଇ କିତ୍ତୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଦ୍ୱୀପସମୂହକୁ ଯାଇ ଦେଖ, ଆଉ କେଦାରକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଅ ଓ ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମ ରୂପେ ବିବେଚନା କର; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଏପରି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କି କେବେ ହୋଇଅଛି?
11 if the nations will change their gods, though they are not gods: but my people have changed their glory, [for that] from which they shall not be profited.
ଦେବତାମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ନୋହିଲେ ହେଁ କୌଣସି ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକେ କି ଆପଣା ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଦଳ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି? ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ନିଷ୍ଫଳ ବସ୍ତୁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଗୌରବସ୍ୱରୂପଙ୍କୁ ବଦଳ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
12 The heaven is amazed at this, and is very exceedingly horror-struck, says the Lord.
ହେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ, ଏଥିରେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହୁଅ ଓ ମହାଭୟଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହୋଇ ସଙ୍କୁଚିତ ହୁଅ, ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
13 For my people has committed two [faults], and evil ones: they have forsaken me, the fountain of water of life, and hewn out for themselves broken cisterns, which will not be able to hold water.
କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୁଇଟି ଦୋଷ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଅମୃତ ଜଳର ନିର୍ଝର ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେ, ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନାନା କୂପ ଖୋଳିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେସବୁ ଭଗ୍ନ କୂପ, ଜଳଧାରଣ କରି ନ ପାରେ।
14 Is Israel a servant, or a home-born slave? why has he become a spoil?
ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ କି ଦାସ? ସେ କି ଗୃହଜାତ ଜନ୍ମରୁ ଦାସ? ତେବେ ସେ କାହିଁକି ଲୁଟିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ହୋଇଅଛି?
15 The lions roared upon him, and uttered their voice, which have made his land a wilderness: and his cities are broken down, that they should not be inhabited.
ଯୁବା ସିଂହମାନେ ତାହା ଉପରେ ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ ଓ ହୁଙ୍କାର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନେ ତାହାର ଦେଶ ଉଜାଡ଼ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ତାହାର ନଗରସବୁ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ନିବାସବିହୀନ ହୋଇଅଛି।
16 Also the children of Memphis and Taphnas have known you, and mocked you.
ଆହୁରି ନୋଫର ଓ ତଫନ୍ହେଷର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମସ୍ତକର ମୁକୁଟକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଅଛନ୍ତି।
17 Has not your forsaking me brought these things upon you? says the Lord your God.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପଥରେ କଢ଼ାଇ ଘେନିଯିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାରୁ ଏହା କି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତି ଆପେ ଘଟାଇ ନାହଁ?
18 And now what have you to do with the way of Egypt, to drink the water of Geon? and what have you to do with the way of the Assyrians, to drink the water of rivers?
ଆଉ, ଏବେ ଶୀହୋରର ଜଳ ପାନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମିସରର ପଥରେ କାହିଁକି ଯାଉଅଛ? ଅଥବା ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀର ଜଳ ପାନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଶୂରର ପଥରେ କାହିଁକି ଯାଉଅଛ?
19 Your apostasy shall correct you, and your wickedness shall reprove you: know then, and see, that your forsaking me [has been] bitter to you, says the Lord your God; and I have taken no pleasure in you, says the Lord your God.
ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିପଥଗମନ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନୁଯୋଗ କରିବ; ଏହେତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାର ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟକ ଭୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନ ଥିବାର ଯେ ମନ୍ଦ ଓ ତିକ୍ତ ବିଷୟ, ଏହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୋଇ ବୁଝ।
20 For of old you have broken your yoke, and plucked asunder your bands; and you has said, I will not serve you, but will go upon every high hill, and under every shady tree, there will I indulge in my fornication.
ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଯୁଆଳି ଭାଙ୍ଗି ତୁମ୍ଭର ବନ୍ଧନସକଳ ଛେଦନ କଲୁ; ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଲ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦାସ୍ୟକର୍ମ କରିବା ନାହିଁ;’ କାରଣ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ସବୁଜ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନତ ହୋଇଅଛ।
21 Yet I planted you a fruitful vine, entirely of the right sort: how are you a strange vine turned to bitterness!
ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସର୍ବତୋଭାବେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ବୀଜରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତା କରି ରୋପଣ କରିଥିଲୁ; ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ବିଜାତୀୟ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ବିକୃତ ଚାରା ହେଲ?
22 Though you should wash yourself with nitre, and multiply to yourself soap, [still] you are stained by your iniquities before me, says the Lord.
ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାକୁ ସୋଡ଼ାରେ ଧୌତ କର ଓ ବହୁତ ସାବୁନ ଲଗାଅ, ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଧର୍ମ ଚିହ୍ନିତ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛି।
23 How will you say, I am not polluted, and have not gone after Baal? behold your ways in the burial-ground, and know what you have done: her voice has howled in the evening:
‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଶୁଚି ନୋହୁଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାଲ୍ ଦେବଗଣର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହୋଇ ନାହୁଁ ବୋଲି’ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି କହିପାର? ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗତାୟାତ ପଥ ଦେଖ, ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କରିଅଛ, ତାହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୁଅ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପଥରେ ଭ୍ରମଣକାରିଣୀ ଦ୍ରୁତଗାମିନୀ ଉଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀ;
24 she has extended her ways over the waters of the desert; she was hurried along by the lusts of her soul; she is given up [to them], who will turn her back? none that seek her shall be weary; at [the time of] her humiliation they shall find her.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ପରିଚିତା ବନ୍ୟ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭୀ ଅଟ; ସେ ଆପଣା ଅଭିଳାଷକ୍ରମେ ବାୟୁ ଆଘ୍ରାଣ କରେ, ତାହାର ଋତୁ ସମୟରେ କିଏ ତାହାକୁ ଫେରାଇ ପାରଇ? ତାହାର ଅନ୍ବେଷଣକାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ କରିବାର ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନେ ତାହାର ନିୟମିତ ମାସରେ ତାହାକୁ ପାଇବେ।
25 Withdraw your foot from a rough way, and your throat from thirst: but she said I will strengthen myself: for she loved strangers, and went after them.
‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଚରଣ ପାଦୁକାରହିତ ଓ କଣ୍ଠ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହେବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଲ, ଆଉ ଭରସା ନାହିଁ; ନା, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ବିଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିଅଛି ଓ ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମିନୀ ହେବି।’
26 As is the shame of a thief when he is caught, so shall the children of Israel be ashamed; they, and their kings, and their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.
ଚୋର ଧରା ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଯେପରି ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହୁଏ, ସେପରି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜାଗଣ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧିପତିଗଣ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯାଜକଗଣ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣ ସମସ୍ତେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି;
27 They said to a stock, You are my father; and to a stone, You has begotten me: and they have turned [their] backs to me, and not their faces: yet in the time of their afflictions they will say, Arise, and save us.
ସେମାନେ ଖଣ୍ଡେ କାଠମୁଣ୍ଡାକୁ କହନ୍ତି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପିତା’ ଓ ପଥରକୁ କହନ୍ତି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଜନ୍ମ କରିଅଛ,’ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଆଡ଼କୁ ମୁଖ ନ ଫେରାଇ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପିଠି ଫେରାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ବିପଦ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନେ କହିବେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କର।’
28 And where are your gods, which you made for yourself? will they arise and save in the time of your affliction? for according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Juda; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem they sacrificed to Baal.
ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛ, ସେମାନେ କାହାନ୍ତି? ସେମାନେ ଉଠନ୍ତୁ, ଯେବେ ପାରନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିପଦ ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରନ୍ତୁ; କାରଣ ହେ ଯିହୁଦା, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନଗରସମୂହର ସଂଖ୍ୟା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦେବତାମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
29 Therefore do you speak to me? you all have been ungodly, and you all have transgressed against me, says the Lord.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ବିବାଦ କରିବ? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅପରାଧ କରିଅଛ।
30 In vain have I struck your children; you have not received correction: a sword has devoured your prophets as a destroying lion; yet you feared not.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ୟର୍ଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଆଘାତ କରିଅଛୁ; ସେମାନେ ଶାସ୍ତି ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନିଜ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ବିନାଶକ ସିଂହ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି।
31 Hear you the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Have I been a wilderness or a dry land to Israel? therefore has my people said, We will not be ruled over, and will not come to you any more?
ହେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କାଳର ଲୋକମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଆଲୋଚନା କର, ଆମ୍ଭେ କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ସ୍ୱରୂପ, ଅବା ନିବିଡ଼ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ଦେଶ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହୋଇଅଛୁ? ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ କାହିଁକି କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବନ୍ଧନଛିଣ୍ଡା ହୋଇଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବୁ ନାହିଁ?’
32 Will a bride forget her ornaments, or a virgin her girdle? but my people has forgotten me days without number.
କନ୍ୟା କି ଆପଣା ଅଳଙ୍କାର ଓ ବିବାହିତା କନ୍ୟା କି ଆପଣା ଭୂଷଣ ପାସୋରି ପାରେ? ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଦିନ ପାସୋରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
33 What fair device will you yet employ in your ways, so as to seek love? [it shall] not [be] so; moreover you has done wickedly in corrupting your ways;
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରେମର ଚେଷ୍ଟାରେ କିପରି ଆପଣା ପଥ ସଜାଡ଼ୁଅଛ! ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ହିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପଥ ଶିଖାଇଅଛ।
34 and in your hands has been found the blood of innocent souls; I have not found them in holes, but on every oak.
ଆହୁରି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଦୀନହୀନମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣର ରକ୍ତ ଦେଖାଯାଏ; ତାହା ସିନ୍ଧି କାଟିବା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଏହିସବୁର ଉପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଅଛୁ।
35 Yet you said, I am innocent: only let his wrath be turned away from me. Behold, I [will] plead with you, whereas you say, I have not sinned.
ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଲ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ; ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର କ୍ରୋଧ ଫେରିଅଛି।’ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁଅଛ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ପାପ କରି ନାହୁଁ,’ ଏହେତୁ ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରିବା।
36 For you has been so exceedingly contemptuous as to repeat your ways; but you shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assur.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପଥ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କାହିଁକି ଏଣେତେଣେ ମିଥ୍ୟାରେ ଏତେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରୁଅଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଶୂରର ବିଷୟରେ ଯେପରି ଲଜ୍ଜିତା ହୋଇଥିଲ, ସେପରି ମିସରର ବିଷୟରେ ହେଁ ଲଜ୍ଜିତା ହେବ।
37 For you shall go forth thence also with your hands upon your head; for the Lord has rejected your hope, and you shall not prosper in it.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ହାତ ଦେଇ ତାହା ନିକଟରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ବାହାରି ଯିବ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ୱାସପାତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୃତକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
