Jeremias 10
1 Hear you the word of the Lord, which he has spoken to you, O house of Israel.
हे इस्राएलका घराना हो, परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूलाई घोषणा गरिरहनुभएको वचन सुन ।
2 Thus says the Lord, Learn you not the ways of the heathen, and be not alarmed at the signs of the sky; for they are alarmed at them, [falling] on their faces.
परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “जाति-जातिहरूका चाल नसिक, र आकाशका चिन्हहरूदेखि भयभीत नहोओ किनकि जातिहरू यसबाट भयभीत हुन्छन् ।
3 For the customs of the nations are vain; it is a tree cut out of the forest, the work of the carpenter, or a molten image.
किनकि यी मानिसहरूका धार्मिक प्रचलनहरू बेकम्मा छन् । तिनीहरू जङ्गलमा भएको एउटा रुख काट्छन्, र कारीगरले काठको मूर्ति बनाउँछ ।
4 [They are] beautified with silver and gold, they fix them with hammers and nails;
त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले सुन र चाँदीले त्यसलाई सजाउँछन् । त्यो नढलोस् भनेर तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई घन र किल्लाले ठोक्दछन् ।
5 they will set them up that they may not move; it is wrought silver, they will not walk, it is forged silver They must certainly be borne, for they can’t ride [of themselves]. Fear them not; for they can’t do any evil, and there is no good in them.
तिनीहरूले हातले बनाएको कुरो काँक्रोको बारीमा राखिने पुतलाजस्तो हो, किनकि तिनीहरूले पनि केही भन्न सक्दैनन्, र तिनीहरू हिंड्न नसक्ने भएका हुनाले तिनलाई बोक्नुपर्छ । तिनीहरूदेखि नडराओ, किनकि तिनीहरूले खराबी ल्याउन सक्दैनन्, न त तिनीहरूले कुनै भलाइ नै गर्न सक्छन् ।”
हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंजस्तो कोही पनि छैन । तपाईं महान् हुनुहुन्छ, र तपाईंको नाउँ शक्तिमा महान् छ ।
हे जातिहरूका महाराजा, तपाईंदेखि को डराउँदैन र? तपाईं यसैको लागि योग्य हुनुहुन्छ, किनकि जातिहरूका सबै बुद्धिमान् मानिसहरू र तिनीहरूका सबै राज्यहरूका बिचमा तपाईंजस्तो कोही पनि छैन ।
तिनीहरू सबै उस्तै छन् । तिनीहरू बुद्धिहीन र मूर्ख छन् । तिनीहरू मूर्तीका चेलाहरू हुन् जुन काठबाहेक केही पनि होइन ।
तर्शीशबाट पिटिएका चाँदी अनि उपज देशबाट सुनारहरू, शुद्ध पार्नेका हातद्वारा बनाइएका सुन तिनीहरूले ल्याउँछन्, तिनीहरूका वस्त्रहरू निलो र बैजनी कपडा हुन् । तिनीहरूका सिपालु मानिसहरूले यी सबै कुरा बनाए ।
तर परमप्रभु नै साँचो परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँ नै जीवित परमेश्वर र अनन्तका राजा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँको रिसमा पृथ्वी हल्लिन्छ, र जातिहरूले उहाँको रिस सहन सक्दैनन् ।
11 Thus shall you say to them, Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky.
तपाईं तिनीहरूसित यसरी बोल्नुहुन्छ, “स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी नबनाउने देवताहरू पृथ्वीबाट र यी आकाशको तलबाट नष्ट हुनेछन् ।
12 It is the Lord that made the earth by his strength, who set up the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the sky,
तर उहाँले पृथ्वीलाई आफ्नो शक्तिले बनाउनुभयो, र उहाँले आफ्नो बुद्धिले संसार स्थापित गर्नुभयो, र आफ्नो समझशक्तिले आकाशलाई फैलाउनुभयो ।
13 and set abundance of waters in the sky, and brought up clouds from the ends of the earth; he made lightnings for the rain, and brought forth light out of his treasures.
उहाँको आवाजले आकाशमा पानीको गर्जन ल्याउँछ, र उहाँले पृथ्वीको कुनाबाट तुसारो ल्याउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले वर्षाको लागि चट्याङ पार्नुहुन्छ, र आफ्नो भण्डारबाट बतास पठाउनुहुन्छ ।
14 Every man is deprived of knowledge, every goldsmith is confounded because of his graven images; for he has cast false gods, there is no breath in them.
हरेक मानिस ज्ञानविना अज्ञानी भएको छ । धातुको काम गर्ने हरेक आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूबाट नै लाजमा परेको छ । किनकि त्यसले बनाएका मूर्तिहरू झूटा हुन् । तिनमा जीवन छैन ।
15 They are vain works, wrought in mockery; in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
ती बेकम्मा छन्, गिल्ला गर्नेहरूको काम हुन् । तिनीहरूको दण्डको समयमा तिनीहरू नष्ट हुनेछन् ।
16 Such is not the portion of Jacob; for he that formed all things, he is his inheritance; the Lord is his name.
तर परमेश्वर जो याकूबको हिस्सा हुनुहुन्छ, उहाँ तीजस्ता छैनन्, किनकि उहाँ त सबै कुराका निर्माणकर्ता हुनुहुन्छ । इस्राएल उहाँको उत्तराधिकारको कुल हो । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु उहाँको नाउँ हो ।
17 He has gathered your substance from without the lodged in choice [vessels].
ए घेराबन्दीमा बाँचेका मानिसहरू हो, आ-आफ्नो पोकोपन्तरो जम्मा गर र देश छोड ।
18 For thus says the Lord, Behold, I [will] overthrow the inhabitants of this land with affliction, that your plague may be discovered.
किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर्, यस बेला यो देशका बासिन्दाहरूलाई मैले बाहिर फाल्न लागेको छु । म तिनीहरूमाथि सङ्कष्ट ल्याउनेछु, र तिनीहरूले यस्तै भएको भेट्टाउनेछन् ।”
19 Alas for your ruin! your plague is grievous: and I said, Surely this is your wound, and it has overtaken you.
मलाई धिक्कार छ! मेरा हड्डी भाँचिएका हुनाले मेरो चोट सङ्क्रमित भएको छ । त्यसैले मैले भनें, “निश्चय नै यो वेदना हो, तर मैले त्यो सहनैपर्छ ।”
20 Your tabernacle is in a ruinous state, it has perished; and all your curtains have been torn asunder: my children and my cattle are no more: there is no more any place for my tabernacle, [nor] place for my curtains.
मेरो पाल तहस-नहस पारिएको छ, र मेरा पालका सबै डोरी दुई टुक्रा पारेर काटिएका छन् । तिनीहरूले मेरा बालबालिकालाई मबाट टाढा लगेका छन्, त्यसैले तिनीहरू अब छैनन् । मेरो पाल टाँग्न वा मेरा पर्दाहरू उठाउन त्यहाँ अब फेरि कोही छैन ।
21 For the shepherds have become foolish, and have not sought the Lord; therefore the whole pasture has failed, and [the sheep] have been scattered.
किनकि गोठालाहरू मूर्ख छन्, र तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको खोजी गर्दैनन् । त्यसैले तिनीहरूको उन्नति भएको छैन, र तिनीहरूका सबै बगाल तितर-बितर भएका छन् ।
22 Behold, there comes a sound of a noise, and a great earthquake from the land of the north, to make the cities of Juda a desolation, and a resting-place for ostriches.
समाचारको खबर आएको छ, “हेर, यहूदाका सहरहरूलाई उजाड पारेर स्यालहरूका लुक्ने ठाउँ बनाउनलाई उत्तरको देशबाट एउटा ठुलो भूकम्प आउँदैछ ।”
23 I know, O Lord, that man's way is not his own; neither shall a man go, and direct his going.
हे परमप्रभु, म जान्दछु, मानिसको चाल ऊ आफैबाट आउँदैन । हिंडिरहेको कुनै पनि व्यक्तिले आफ्ना कदमहरूलाई निर्देशन दिंदैन ।
24 Chasten us, O Lord, but with judgement; and not in wrath, lest you make us few.
हे परमप्रभु, मलाई न्यायले अनुशासित गर्नुहोस्, तपाईंको रिसमा होइन, नत्रता तपाईंले मलाई नष्ट गर्नुहुनेछ ।
25 Pour out your wrath upon the nations that have not known you, and upon the families that have not called upon your name: for they have devoured Jacob, and consumed him, and have made his pasture desolate.
तपाईंले नचिन्ने जातिहरू र तपाईंको नाउँ नपुकार्ने परिवारहरूमाथि तपाईंको क्रोध खन्याउनुहोस् । किनकि तिनीहरूले याकूबलाई निलेका छन् र भष्म पारेका छन् यसरी उसलाई पूर्ण रूपमा नास पारेका र उसको बासस्थानलाई उजाड पारेका छन् ।
