Esias 64
1 If you would open the heaven, trembling will take hold upon the mountains from you, and they shall melt,
੧ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਕੇ ਉਤਰ ਆਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਕੰਬ ਜਾਣ!
2 as wax melts before the fire; and fire shall burn up the enemies, and your name shall be manifest amongst the adversaries: at your presence the nations shall be troubled,
੨ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਗ ਝਾੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਬਾਲਦੀ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਕੰਬ ਜਾਣ!
3 whenever you shall work gloriously; trembling from you shall take hold upon the mountains.
੩ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਤਰ ਆਇਆ, ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਕੰਬ ਗਏ।
4 From of old we have not heard, neither have our eyes seen a God beside you, and your works which you will perform to them that wait for mercy.
੪ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆ, ਨਾ ਅੱਖ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਡੀਕਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
5 For [these blessings] shall happen to them that work righteousness, and they shall remember your ways: behold, you were angry and we have sinned; therefore we have erred,
੫ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ - ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਚਾਂਗੇ?
6 and we are all become as unclean, and all our righteousness as a filthy rag: and we have fallen as leaves because of our iniquities; thus the wind shall carry us [away].
੬ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਗੰਦੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪੱਤੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਹਵਾ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
7 And there is none that calls upon your name, or that remembers to take hold on you: for you have turned your face away from us, and have delivered us up because of our sins.
੭ਕੋਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੁਕਾ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
8 And now, O Lord, you are our Father, and we are clay, all [of us] the work of your hands.
੮ਪਰ ਹੁਣ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਘੁਮਿਆਰ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਸਤਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਂ।
9 Be not very angry with us, and remember not our sins for ever; but now look on [us], for we are all your people.
੯ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਅੱਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋ, ਨਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖ। ਵੇਖ, ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹਾਂ।
10 The city of your holiness has become desolate, Sion has become as a wilderness, Jerusalem a curse.
੧੦ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਸੁੰਨਸਾਨ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
11 The house, our sanctuary, and the glory which our fathers blessed, has been burnt with fire: and all our glorious things have gone to ruin.
੧੧ਸਾਡਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਭਵਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
12 And for all these things you, O Lord, has withholden, yourself, and been silent, and have brought us very low.
੧੨ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਕੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ?
