< Esias 31 >

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, who trust in horses and chariots, for they are many; and in horses, [which are] a great multitude; and have not trusted in the Holy One of Israel, and have not sought the Lord.
Wɔnnue, wɔn a wɔkɔ Misraim kɔpɛ mmoa, wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to apɔnkɔ so, wɔn a wɔgye wɔn nteaseɛnam dodoɔ ne wɔn apɔnkɔsotefoɔ ahoɔden mmorosoɔ no die, na wɔnhwɛ Israel Kronkronni no, anaasɛ wɔmmpɛ mmoa mfiri Awurade hɔ.
2 Therefore he has wisely brought evils upon them, and his word shall not be frustrated; and he shall rise up against the houses of wicked men, and against their vain hope,
Nanso, Awurade yɛ onyansafoɔ a ɔbɛtumi de ɔhaw aba; ɔnsesa nʼano. Ɔbɛsɔre atia amumuyɛfoɔ efie, ne wɔn a wɔboa nnebɔneyɛfoɔ.
3 [even] an Egyptian, a man, and not God; the flesh of horses, and there is no help [in them]: but the Lord shall bring his hand upon them, and the helpers shall fail, and all shall perish together.
Na Misraimfoɔ yi yɛ nnipa kɛkɛ, wɔnyɛ Onyankopɔn. Wɔn apɔnkɔ yɛ honam na wɔnyɛ honhom. Sɛ Awurade tene ne nsa a, ɔboafoɔ bɛhwinti na deɛ wɔboa no no bɛhwe ase; wɔn baanu bɛbɔ mu asɛe.
4 For thus said the Lord to me, As a lion would roar, or a lion's whelp over prey which he has taken, and cry over it, until the mountains are filled with his voice, and [the animals] are awe-struck and tremble at the fierceness of his wrath: so the Lord of hosts shall descend to fight upon the mount Sion, [even] upon her mountains.
Yei ne deɛ Awurade ka kyerɛ me: “Sɛdeɛ gyata pɔ so, sɛdeɛ gyata hoɔdenfoɔ pɔ ne haboa so no a mpo sɛ wɔfrɛ nnwanhwɛfoɔ dɔm kɔ ne so a, wɔn nteateam mmɔ ne hu na wɔn hooyɛ nso nha no no saa ara na Asafo Awurade bɛsiane abɛko wɔ Sion Bepɔ ne ne sorɔnsorɔmmea so.
5 As birds flying, so shall the Lord of hosts defend; he shall defend Jerusalem, and he shall rescue, and save and deliver.
Sɛdeɛ nnomaa tu gyina faako wɔ ewiem no saa ara na Asafo Awurade bɛbɔ Yerusalem ho ban; ɔbɛbɔ ne ho ban na wagye no, ɔbɛgyaa no na wagye no asi hɔ.”
6 Turn, you children of Israel, who devise a deep and sinful counsel.
Monsane nkɔ deɛ moayɛ ɛdɔm atia no no, Ao Israelfoɔ.
7 For in that day men shall renounce their silver idols and [their] golden idols, which their hands made.
Ɛda no mo mu biara bɛpo dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ ahoni a mode mo nsa a ɛho agu fi no ayɛ.
8 And the Assyrian shall fall: not the sword of a great man, nor the sword of a mean man shall devour him; neither shall he flee from the face of the sword: but the young men shall be overthrown:
“Asiria bɛhwe ase wɔ akofena a ɛnyɛ onipa deɛ ano; akofena a ɛnyɛ onipa deɛ bɛsɛe wɔn. Wɔbɛdwane afiri akofena no ano na wɔbɛma wɔn mmeranteɛ ayɛ ɔhyɛ adwuma.
9 for they shall be compassed with rocks as with a trench, and shall be worsted; and he that flees shall be taken. Thus says the Lord, Blesses is he that has a seed in Sion, and household friends in Jerusalem.
Wɔn aban denden bɛbubu, ehu nti; wɔhunu akofoɔ frankaa a, wɔn asraafoɔ mpanimfoɔ bɛbɔ huboa,” sei na Awurade seɛ, deɛ ne ogya wɔ Sion, na ne fononoo si Yerusalem no.
