Esias 26
1 In that day they shall sing this song in the land of Judea; Behold a strong city; and he shall make salvation [its] wall and bulwark.
੧ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, - ਸਾਡਾ ਇੱਕ ਤਕੜਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ।
2 Open you the gates, let the nation enter that keeps righteousness, and keeps truth,
੨ਫਾਟਕ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੋ! ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਕੌਮ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਵੇ।
3 supporting truth, and keeping peace: for on you, O Lord,
੩ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਵਲੀਨ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।
4 they have trusted with confidence for ever, the great, the eternal God;
੪ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਨਾਤਨ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਹੈ।
5 who have humbled and brought down them that dwell on high, you shall cast down strong cities, and bring them to the ground.
੫ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਉੱਚੇ ਨਗਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਝੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੱਕ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਤੱਕ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 And the feet of the meek and lowly shall trample them.
੬ਉਹ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿੱਧਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
7 The way of the godly is made straight: the way of the godly is also prepared.
੭ਧਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਹੈਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
8 For the way of the Lord is judgement: we have hoped in your name, and on the remembrance [of you],
੮ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 which our soul longs for: my spirit seeks you very early in the morning, O God, for your commandments are a light on the earth: learn righteousness, you that dwell upon the earth.
੯ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਤਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਧਰਮ ਸਿੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
10 For the ungodly one is put down: no one who will not learn righteousness on the earth, shall be able to do the truth: let the ungodly be taken away, that he see not the glory of the Lord.
੧੦ਭਾਵੇਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੱਖੇਗਾ, ਸਿਧਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਹੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
11 O Lord, your arm is exalted, yet they knew it not: but when they know they shall be ashamed: jealousy shall seize upon an untaught nation, and now fire shall devour the adversaries.
੧੧ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਪਰਜਾ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਣਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਹਾਂ, ਅੱਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮ ਕਰੇ!
12 O Lord our God, give us peace: for you have rendered to us all things.
੧੨ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ, ਉਹ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ।
13 O Lord our God, take possession of us: O Lord, we know not [any] other beside you: we name your name.
੧੩ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
14 But the dead shall not see life, neither shall physicians by any means raise [them] up: therefore you have brought [wrath] upon [them], and slain [them], and have taken away every male of them. Bring more evils upon them, O Lord;
੧੪ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਜੀਉਣਗੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਈ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਉੱਠਣਗੇ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
15 bring more evils on the glorious ones of the earth.
੧੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਜਲਾਲ ਪਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਫੈਲਾਇਆ।
16 Lord, in affliction I remembered you; your chastening was to us with small affliction.
੧੬ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੱਕਿਆ, ਜਦ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਬਕਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
17 And as a woman in travail draws near to be delivered, [and] cries out in her pain; so have we been to your beloved.
੧੭ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਜਣਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੜਫ਼ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਸੀ!
18 We have conceived, O Lord, because of your fear, and have been in pain, and have brought forth the breath of your salvation, which we have wrought upon the earth: we shall not fall, but all that dwell upon the land shall fall.
੧੮ਅਸੀਂ ਗਰਭੀ ਹੋਏ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੜਫ਼ੇ, ਪਰ ਜਾਣੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਵਾ ਹੀ ਜਣੀ! ਅਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚਾਓ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
19 The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice: for the dew from you is healing to them: but the land of the ungodly shall perish.
੧੯ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਜੀਉਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਉੱਠਣਗੀਆਂ। ਹੇ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਓ, ਜਾਗੋ, ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਗਜਾਓ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਬੂਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
20 Go, my people, enter into your closets, shut your door, hide yourself for a little season, until the anger of the Lord have passed away.
੨੦ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲੈ, ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾ ਲੈ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਹਿਰ ਟਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
21 For, behold, the Lord is bringing wrath from [his] holy place upon the dwellers on the earth: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall not cover her slain.
੨੧ਵੇਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਧਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਖੂਨ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਢੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਢੱਕੇਗੀ।
