< Osee 12 >

1 But Ephraim is an evil spirit, he has chased the east wind all the day: he has multiplied empty and vain things, and made a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil has gone in the way of traffic into Egypt.
Efraima homan-drivotra sady manenjika ny rivotra avy any atsinanana, mandritra ny andro dia ataony betsaka ny lainga sy ny fandozana; Manao fanekena amin’ ny Asyriana izy, ary diloilo no entina ho any Egypta.
2 And the Lord [has] a controversy with Juda, in order to punish Jacob: according to his ways and according to his practices will he recompense him.
Manana ady amin’ i Joda koa Jehovah ary tsy maintsy mamaly an’ i Jakoba araka ny alehany, ka hatsingeriny aminy ny nataony.
3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his labours he had power with God.
Fony mbola tany am-bohoka dia nihazona ny ombelahin-tongotry ny rahalahiny izy, ary rehefa lehibe izy, dia nitolona tamin’ Andriamanitra;
4 And he prevailed with the angel and was strong: they wept, and entreated me: they found me in the house of On, and there [a word] was spoken to them.
Eny, nitolona tamin’ Ilay Anjely izy ka nahery; Nitomany izy sady nifona taminy; Nahita azy tao Betela Izy, ary tao no niresahany tamintsika;
5 But the Lord God Almighty shall be his memorial.
Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro, Jehovah no hahatsiarovana Azy.
6 You therefore shall return to your God: keep you mercy and judgement, and draw near to your God continually.
Koa miverena amin’ Andriamanitrao ianao; Tandremo ny famindram-po sy ny rariny. Ary miandrasa an’ Andriamanitrao mandrakariva.
7 [As for] Chanaan, in his hand is a balance of unrighteousness: he has loved to tyrannize.
Kanana eny an-tànany misy mizana miangatra, ny manambaka no tiany.
8 And Ephraim said, Nevertheless I am rich, I have found refreshment to myself. None of his labours shall be found [available] to him, by reason of the sins which he has committed.
Fa hoy Efraima: Fiharian-karena ihany no efa nataoko, nahazo fananana aho; Ny asako rehetra tsy misy hahatonga fahotana na heloka amiko.
9 But I the Lord your God brought you up out of the land of Egypt: I will yet cause you to dwell in tabernacles, according to the days of the feast.
Nefa Izaho no Jehovah Andriamanitrao hatrany amin’ ny tany Egypta; Ary mbola hampiditra anao an-day indray Aho tahaka ny tamin’ ny fotoam-pivavahana.
10 And I will speak to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and by the means of the prophets I was represented.
Efa niteny tamin’ ny mpaminany koa Aho, sady Izaho no nahabetsaka ny fahitana, ary ny mpaminany dia nampilazaiko ohatra.
11 If Galaad exists not, then the chiefs in Galaad when they sacrificed were false, and their altars were as heaps on the ground of the field.
Raha tena heloka Gileada, dia ho tonga zava-poana tokoa izy; Tany Gilgala no namonoany omby betsaka ho fanatitra, koa ny alitarany dia ho toy ny korontam-bato eny am-bavasa any an-tsaha.
12 And Jacob retreated into the plain of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and waited for a wife.
Jakoba nandositra ho any amin’ ny tany Syria, Isiraely nanompo hahazoany vady, eny, ny hahazoany vady no niandrasany ondry aman’ osy.
13 And the Lord brought Israel out of the land of Egypt by a prophet, and by a prophet was he preserve.
Mpaminany no nentin’ i Jehovah nitondra ny Isiraely nivoaka avy tany Egypta, ary mpaminany koa no nentina niahy azy
14 Ephraim was angry and excited, therefore his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall recompense to him his reproach.
Nanao izay nahatezitra indrindra Efraima, ka dia havelan’ ny Tompony ho eo aminy ny ràny, ary hatsingeriny aminy ny vava ratsy nataony.
