Genesis 11
1 And all the earth was one lip, and there was one language to all.
১সেই সময়ত গোটেই পৃথিৱীৰ মানুহে কেৱল এটা ভাষাতে কথা কৈছিল।
2 And it came to pass as they moved from the east, they found a plain in the land of Senaar, and they lived there.
২পাছত লোকসকলে পূব দিশে ঘূৰি ফুৰি গৈ চিনাৰ দেশত আহি এখন সমতল ভূমি পালে আৰু তাতে বাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
3 And a man said to his neighbour, Come, let us make bricks and bake them with fire. And the brick was to them for stone, and their mortar was bitumen.
৩তেওঁলোকে এজনে আন জনক ক’লে, “ব’লা, আমি ইটা সাজি ভালকৈ জুইত পোৰোঁহঁক।” এইবুলি কৈ তেওঁলোকে শিলৰ সলনি ইটা আৰু গাঁথনিৰ কাৰণে এঠামাটিৰ সলনি আলকতৰাৰ প্ৰলেপ ল’লে।
4 And they said, Come, let us build to ourselves a city and tower, whose top shall be to heaven, and let us make to ourselves a name, before we are scattered abroad upon the face of all the earth.
৪তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “আহাঁ, আমি নিজৰ কাৰণে এখন নগৰ নির্ম্মাণ কৰোঁ আৰু এনে এটা উচ্চ স্তম্ভ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰোঁহক যাৰ চূড়াই আকাশ চুব পাৰে। আমি আমাৰ নাম খ্যাতিমন্ত কৰোঁহক, নহ’লে আমি গোটেই পৃথিৱীতে সিচঁৰিত হৈ পৰিম।”
5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of men built.
৫আদমৰ বংশধৰসকলে যি নগৰ আৰু উচ্চ স্তম্ভ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিছিল, তাক চাবলৈ যিহোৱা নামি আহিল।
6 And the Lord said, Behold, [there is] one race, and one lip of all, and they have begun to do this, and now nothing shall fail from them of all that they may have undertaken to do.
৬যিহোৱাই কৈছিল, “এই লোকসকল এক জাতিৰ লোক আৰু এইসকলৰ ভাষাও এক! এওঁলোকে এনেকুৱাকৈ কাৰ্যও আৰম্ভ কৰিলে! এতিয়া তেওঁলোকে ইচ্ছা কৰা কোনো কাৰ্যই তেওঁলোকৰ বাবে অসাধ্য নহ’ব।
7 Come, and having gone down let us there confound their tongue, that they may not understand each the voice of his neighbour.
৭গতিকে, আহাঁ, আমি নামি গৈ তেওঁলোকৰ ভাষাত বিভ্রান্তিৰ সৃষ্টি কৰোঁ যাতে তেওঁলোকে এজনে আন জনৰ কথা বুজিব নোৱাৰে।”
8 And the Lord scattered them thence over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city and the tower.
৮এইদৰে যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক সেই ঠাইৰ পৰা গোটেই পৃথিৱীতে সিচঁৰিত কৰিলে; তাতে তেওঁলোকে সেই নগৰ সজাৰ কাম বন্ধ কৰিলে।
9 On this account its name was called Confusion, because there the Lord confounded the languages of all the earth, and thence the Lord scattered them upon the face of all the earth.
৯এইবাবেই সেই ঠাইৰ নাম বাবিল ৰখা হ’ল, কিয়নো সেই ঠাইতেই যিহোৱাই গোটেই পৃথিৱীত ভাষাৰ ভেদ জন্মালে আৰু তাৰ পৰাই যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক পৃথিৱীত সিচঁৰিত কৰিলে।
10 And these [are] the generations of Sem: and Sem was a hundred years old when he begot Arphaxad, the second year after the flood.
১০চেমৰ বংশৰ বিৱৰণ এই। জলপ্লাৱনৰ দুবছৰৰ পাছত যেতিয়া চেমৰ বয়স এশ বছৰ তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ পুত্র অৰ্ফকচদ জন্মিল।
11 And Sem lived, after he had begotten Arphaxad, five hundred years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
১১অৰ্ফকচদৰ জন্মৰ পাছত চেম আৰু পাঁচ শ বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আৰু পুত্র-কন্যা জন্মিল।
12 And Arphaxad lived a hundred and thirty-five years, and begot Cainan.
১২অৰ্ফকচদৰ পঁয়ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র চেলহ জন্মিল;
13 And Arphaxad lived after he had begotten Cainan, four hundred years, and begot sons and daughters, and died. And Cainan lived a hundred and thirty years and begot Sala; and Canaan lived after he had begotten Sala, three hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
১৩চেলহৰ জন্মৰ পাছত অৰ্ফকচদ আৰু চাৰি শ তিনি বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আৰু পুত্র-কন্যা জন্মিল।
14 And Sala lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot Heber.
১৪চেলহৰ ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র এবৰ জন্মিল;
15 And Sala lived after he had begotten Heber, three hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
১৫এবৰৰ জন্মৰ পাছত চেলহ পুনৰ চাৰি শ তিনি বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আন আন পুত্র-কন্যা জন্মিল।
16 And Heber lived an hundred and thirty-four years, and begot Phaleg.
১৬এবৰৰ চৌত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র পেলগ জন্মিল;
17 And Heber lived after he had begotten Phaleg two hundred and seventy years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
১৭পেলগৰ জন্মৰ পাছত এবৰ পুনৰ চাৰি শ ত্ৰিশ বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আন আন পুত্র-কন্যাসকল জন্মিল।
18 And Phaleg lived and hundred and thirty years, and begot Ragau.
১৮পেলগৰ ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র ৰিয়ু জন্মিল।
19 And Phaleg lived after he had begotten Ragau, two hundred and nine years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
১৯ৰিয়ুৰ জন্মৰ পাছত পেলগ পুনৰ দুশ ন বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আন আন পুত্র আৰু কন্যাসকল জন্মিল।
20 And Ragau lived and hundred and thirty and two years, and begot Seruch.
২০ৰিয়ুৰ ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র চৰূগ জন্মিল।
21 And Raau lived after he had begotten Seruch, two hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
২১চৰূগৰ জন্মৰ পাছত ৰিয়ু পুনৰ দুশ সাত বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আন আন পুত্র আৰু কন্যাসকল জন্মিল।
22 And Seruch lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot Nachor.
২২চৰূগৰ ত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র নাহোৰ জন্মিল;
23 And Seruch lived after he had begotten Nachor, two hundred years, and begot sons and daughters, and died.
২৩নাহোৰৰ জন্মৰ পাছত চৰূগ আৰু দুশ বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আৰু পুত্র-কন্যা জন্মিল।
24 And Nachor lived a hundred and seventy-nine years, and begot Tharrha.
২৪নাহোৰৰ উনত্ৰিশ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁৰ পুত্র তেৰহ জন্মিল;
25 And Nachor lived after he had begotten Tharrha, an hundred and twenty-five years, and begot sons and daughters, and he died.
২৫তেৰহৰ জন্মৰ পাছত নাহোৰ পুনৰ এশ উনৈশ বছৰ জীয়াই আছিল। সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ আন আন পুত্র আৰু কন্যাসকল জন্মিল।
26 And Tharrha lived seventy years, and begot Abram, and Nachor, and Arrhan.
২৬তেৰহৰ সত্তৰ বছৰ বয়সৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ পুত্র অব্ৰাম, নাহোৰ আৰু হাৰণ জন্মিল।
27 And these [are] the generations of Tharrha. Tharrha begot Abram and Nachor, and Arrhan; and Arrhan begot Lot.
২৭তেৰহৰ বংশৰ বিৱৰণ এই। তেৰহৰ সন্তান সকল আছিল অব্ৰাম, নাহোৰ আৰু হাৰণ; হাৰণৰ সন্তানৰ নাম আছিল লোট।
28 And Arrhan died in the presence of Tharrha his father, in the land in which he was born, in the country of the Chaldees.
২৮পিতৃ তেৰহ জীয়াই থাকোতেই জন্মস্থান কলদীয়াসকলৰ উৰ নগৰত হাৰণৰ মৃত্যু হৈছিল।
29 And Abram and Nachor took to themselves wives, the name of the wife of Abram was Sara, and the name of the wife of Nachor, Malcha, daughter of Arrhan, and he was the father of Malcha, the father of Jescha.
২৯অব্ৰাম আৰু নাহোৰ এই দুজনেই বিয়া কৰিছিল। অব্ৰামৰ ভার্য্যাৰ নাম আছিল চাৰী আৰু নাহোৰৰ ভার্য্যাৰ নাম আছিল মিল্কা; তেওঁ হাৰণৰ জীয়েক আছিল। সেই হাৰণ মিলকা আৰু যিচকাৰ পিতৃ আছিল।
30 And Sara was barren, and did not bear children.
৩০কিন্তু চাৰী বন্ধ্যা আছিল; তেওঁৰ কোনো সন্তান নাছিল।
31 And Tharrha took Abram his son, and Lot the son Arrhan, the son of his son, and Sara his daughter-in-law, the wife of Abram his son, and led them forth out of the land of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Chanaan, and they came as far as Charrhan, and he lived there.
৩১তেৰহে তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ অব্ৰাম, হাৰণৰ পুত্র তেওঁৰ নাতিয়েক লোট, অব্ৰামৰ ভাৰ্যা তেওঁৰ বোৱাৰীয়েক চাৰীক লগত লৈ কনান দেশলৈ যাবৰ কাৰণে কলদীয়াসকলৰ উৰ নগৰৰ পৰা ওলাই গ’ল; কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে হাৰণ নগৰ পর্যন্ত গৈ তাতে বসবাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
32 And all the days of Tharrha in the land of Charrhan were two hundred and five years, and Tharrha died in Charrhan.
৩২দুশ পাঁচ বছৰ বয়সত তেৰহৰ হাৰণতে মৃত্যু হ’ল।
