Jezekiel 8

1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the fifth month, on the fifth [day] of the month, I was sitting in the house, and the elders of Juda were sitting before me: and the hand of the Lord came upon me.

A šeste godine, šestoga mjeseca, dana petoga, kad sjeðah u svojoj kuæi i starješine Judine sjeðahu preda mnom, pade ondje na me ruka Gospoda Gospoda.

2 And I looked, and, behold, the likeness of a man: from his loins and downwards [there was] fire, and from his loins upwards [there was] as the appearance of amber.

I vidjeh, a to oblik na oèi kao oganj, od bedara mu dolje bješe oganj, a od bedara gore bješe kao svjetlost, kao jaka svjetlost.

3 And he stretched forth the likeness of a hand, and took me by the crown of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and sky, and brought me to Jerusalem in a vision of God, to the porch of the gate that looks to the north, where was the pillar of the Purchaser.

I pruži kao ruku, i uhvati me za kosu na glavi, i podiže me duh meðu nebo i zemlju, i odnese me u Jerusalim u utvari Božjoj na vrata unutrašnja koja gledaju na sjever, gdje stajaše idol od revnosti, koji draži na revnost.

4 And, behold, the glory of the Lord God of Israel was there, according to the vision which I saw in the plain.

I gle, ondje bješe slava Boga Izrailjeva na oèi kao ona što je vidjeh u polju.

5 And he said to me, Son of man, lift up your eyes towards the north. So I lifted up mine eyes towards the north, and, behold, [I looked] from the north towards the eastern gate.

I reèe mi: sine èovjeèji, podigni oèi svoje k sjeveru. I podigoh oèi svoje k sjeveru, i gle, sa sjevera na vratima oltarskim bijaše onaj idol od revnosti na ulasku.

6 And he said to me, Son of man, have you seen what these do? They commit great abominations here so that I should keep away from my sanctuary: and you shall see yet greater iniquities.

Potom mi reèe: sine èovjeèji, vidiš li što ti rade? velike gadove koje tu èini dom Izrailjev da otidem daleko od svetinje svoje? Ali æeš još vidjeti veæih gadova.

7 And he brought me to the porch of the court.

I odvede me na vrata od trijema, i pogledah, a to jedna rupa u zidu.

8 And he said to me, Son of man, dig: so I dug, and behold a door.

A on mi reèe: sine èovjeèji, prokopaj ovaj zid. I prokopah zid, a to jedna vrata.

9 And he said to me, Go in, and behold the iniquities which they practise here.

Tada mi reèe: uði i vidi opake gadove koje èine tu.

10 So I went in and looked; and saw vain abominations, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon them round about.

I ušav vidjeh, i gle, svakojake životinje što gamižu i svakojaki gadni skotovi, i svi gadni bogovi doma Izrailjeva bijahu napisani po zidu svuda unaokolo.

11 And seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and Jechonias the son of Saphan stood in their presence in the midst of them, and each one held his censer in his hand; and the smoke of the incense went up.

I pred njima stajaše sedamdeset ljudi izmeðu starješina doma Izrailjeva s Jazanijom sinom Safanovijem, koji stajaše meðu njima, svaki s kadionicom svojom u ruci, i podizaše se gust oblak od kada.

12 And he said to me, You have seen, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel do, each one of them in their secret chamber: because they have said, The Lord see not; The Lord has forsaken the earth.

Tada mi reèe: vidiš li, sine èovjeèji, šta èine starješine doma Izrailjeva u mraku svak u svojoj pisanoj klijeti? jer govore: ne vidi nas Gospod, ostavio je Gospod ovu zemlju.

13 And he said to me, You shall see yet greater iniquities which these do.

Potom mi reèe: još æeš vidjeti veæih gadova koje oni èine.

14 And he brought me in to the porch of the house of the Lord that looks to the north; and, behold [there were] women sitting there lamenting for Thammuz.

I odvede me na vrata doma Gospodnjega koja su sa sjevera; i gle, žene sjeðahu i plakahu za Tamuzom.

15 And he said to me, Son of man, you have seen; but you shall yet see [evil] practices greater then these.

I reèe mi: jesi li vidio, sine èovjeèji? još æeš vidjeti veæih gadova od tijeh.

16 And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and at the entrance of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty men, with their back parts towards the temple of the Lord, and their faces [turned] the opposite way; and these were worshipping the sun.

I odvede me u trijem unutrašnji doma Gospodnjega; i gle, na ulasku u crkvu Gospodnju izmeðu trijema i oltara bješe oko dvadeset i pet ljudi okrenutijeh leðima k crkvi Gospodnjoj a licem k istoku, i klanjahu se suncu prema istoku.

17 And he said to me, Son of man, you have seen this. [Is it] a little thing to the house of Juda to practise the iniquities which they have practised here? for they have filled the land with iniquity: and, behold, these are as scorners.

Tada mi reèe: jesi li vidio, sine èovjeèji? malo li je domu Judinu što èine te gadove koje èine ovdje? nego još napuniše zemlju nasilja i okrenuše se da me draže; i eto drže granu pred nosom svojim.

18 Therefore will I deal with them in wrath: mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy.

Zato æu i ja uèiniti u gnjevu, neæe žaliti oko moje, niti æu se smilovati, i kad stanu vikati iza glasa u moje uši, neæu ih uslišiti.
