Jezekiel 3
1 And he said to me, Son of Man, eat this volume, and go and speak to the children of Israel.
૧પછી તેણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, તને જે મળે છે તે ખા. જો, આ ઓળિયું ખા, પછી જઈને ઇઝરાયલી લોકો સાથે વાત કર.”
2 So he opened my mouth, and caused me to eat the volume. And he said to me, Son of man,
૨તેથી મેં મારું મુખ ઉઘાડ્યું અને તેણે મને ઓળિયું ખવડાવ્યું.
3 your mouth shall eat, and your belly shall be filled with this volume that is given to you. So I ate it; and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey.
૩તેણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, આ ઓળિયું જે હું તને આપું છું તે ખા અને તારું પેટ ભર.” મેં તે ખાધું અને તે મારા મુખમાં મધ જેવું મીઠું લાગ્યું.
4 And he said to me, Son of man, go your way, and go in to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.
૪પછી તેણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, ઇઝરાયલી લોકો પાસે જઈને મારા શબ્દો તેઓને કહે.
5 For you are not sent to a people of hard speech, [but] to the house of Israel;
૫તને વિચિત્ર બોલી તથા મુશ્કેલ ભાષાવાળા લોકની પાસે નહિ, પણ ઇઝરાયલી પ્રજા પાસે મોકલવામાં આવે છે.
6 neither to many nations of other speech and other tongues, nor of harsh language, whose words you would not understand: although if I [had] sent you to such, they would have listened to you.
૬હું તને કોઈ અજાણી બોલી તથા મુશ્કેલ ભાષા બોલનાર શક્તિશાળી પ્રજા કે જેઓના શબ્દો તું સમજી શકતો નથી તેઓની પાસે હું તને મોકલત તો તેઓ અવશ્ય તારું સાંભળત.
7 But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you; for they will not listen to me: for all the house of Israel are stubborn and hard-hearted.
૭પણ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો તારું સાંભળવા ઇચ્છતા નથી, કેમ કે, તેઓ મારું પણ સાંભળવા ઇચ્છતા નથી. કેમ કે ઇઝરાયલી લોકો કઠોર તથા હઠીલા હૃદયના છે.
8 And, behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and I will strengthen your power against their power.
૮જો, હું તારું મુખ તેઓના મુખ જેટલું કઠણ અને તારું કપાળ તેઓના કપાળ જેટલું કઠોર કરીશ.
9 And it shall be continually stronger than a rock: be not afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their faces, because it is a provoking house.
૯મેં તારું કપાળ ચકમક કરતાં વજ્ર જેવું કઠણ કર્યું છે. જો કે તેઓ બંડખોર પ્રજા છે, તોપણ તું તેઓથી બીશ નહિ, તેમ જ તેમના ચહેરાથી ગભરાઈશ નહિ.”
10 And he said to me, Son of man, receive into your heart all the words that I have spoken to you, and hear [them] with your ears.
૧૦પછી તેણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, મારાં સર્વ વચનો જે હું તને કહું તે તારા હૃદયમાં સ્વીકાર અને તારા કાને સાંભળ!
11 And go your way, go in to the captivity, to the children of your people, and you shall speak to them, and say to them, Thus says the Lord; whether they will hear, [or] whether they will forbear.
૧૧પછી બંદીવાસીઓ એટલે તારા લોકો પાસે જઈને તેઓની સાથે વાત કરીને તેઓને કહે; ‘પ્રભુ યહોવાહ એવું કહે છે; પછી તો તેઓ સાંભળે કે ન સાંભળે.’”
12 Then the Spirit took me up, and I heard behind me the voice [as] of a great earthquake, [saying], Blessed [be] the glory of the Lord from his place.
૧૨પછી આત્માએ મને ઉપર ઊંચકી લીધો, મેં મારી પાછળ યહોવાહના સ્થાનમાંથી, “યહોવાહના ગૌરવને ધન્ય હો.” એવા મોટા ગડગડાટનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો.
13 And I perceived the sound of the wings of the living creatures clapping one to the other, and the sound of the wheels was near them, and the sound of the earthquake.
૧૩પેલા પશુઓની પાંખો એકબીજા સાથે અથડાતાં તેનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો, તેઓની પાસેનાં પૈડાંનો તથા ગડગડાટનો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો.
14 And the Spirit lifted me, and took me up, and I went in the impulse of my spirit; and the hand of the Lord was mighty upon me.
૧૪પછી આત્મા મને ઊંચે ચઢાવીને દૂર લઈ ગયો; હું દુ: ખી થઈને તથા મારા આત્મામાં ક્રોધી થઈને ગયો, કેમ કે, યહોવાહનો હાથ પ્રબળ રીતે મારા પર હતો.
15 Then I passed through the air and came into the captivity, and went round [to] them that lived by the river of Chobar who were there; and I sat there seven days, conversant in the midst of them.
૧૫હું તેલ-આબીબ કબાર નદીને કિનારે રહેતા બંદીવાનોની પાસે ગયો, હું સાત દિવસ સુધી તેઓની વચ્ચે સ્તબ્ધ થઈને બેસી રહ્યો.
16 And after the seven days the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man,
૧૬સાત દિવસ પૂરા થયા પછી યહોવાહનું વચન મારી પાસે આવ્યું અને મને કહ્યું,
17 I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; and you shall hear a word of my mouth, and shall threaten them from me.
૧૭“હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, મેં તને ઇઝરાયલી લોકો પર ચોકીદાર તરીકે નીમ્યો છે; તેથી મારા મુખમાંનાં વચન સાંભળ અને મારા તરફથી તેઓને ચેતવણી આપ.
18 When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you have not warned him, to give warning to the wicked, to turn from his ways, that he should live; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand.
૧૮જ્યારે હું દુષ્ટને કહું કે, ‘તું નિશ્ચે માર્યો જશે’ જો તું તેને નહિ ચેતવે કે, તેને બચાવવા સારુ તેને તેનાં દુષ્ટ કાર્યોથી ફરવાની ચેતવણી નહિ આપે, તો તે દુષ્ટ તેના પાપને કારણે મરશે, પણ તેના રક્તનો જવાબ હું તારી પાસેથી માગીશ.
19 But if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, and from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, and you shall deliver your soul.
૧૯પણ જો તું તે દુષ્ટ માણસને ચેતવે, તે પોતાની દુષ્ટતાથી કે પોતાના દુષ્ટ કાર્યોથી પાછો ન ફરે, તો તે પોતાના પાપમાં મરશે, પણ તેં તો તારા આત્માને બચાવ્યો છે.
20 And when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits a trespass, and I shall bring punishment before him, he shall die, because you did not warn him: he shall even die in his sins, because his righteousness shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand.
૨૦અને જો કોઈ ન્યાયી માણસ પોતાની નેકીથી પાછો ફરે અને દુષ્કર્મ કરે, ત્યારે હું તેની આગળ ઠેસ મૂકું, તો તે માર્યો જશે, કેમ કે તેં તેને ચેતવણી નથી આપી. તે પોતાના પાપને લીધે મરશે. તેણે કરેલાં સારાં કાર્યોનું સ્મરણ કરવામાં આવશે નહિ, પણ તેના રક્તનો જવાબ હું તારી પાસે માગીશ.
21 But if you warn the righteous not to sin, and he sin not, the righteous shall surely live, because you have warned him; and you shall deliver your own soul.
૨૧પણ જો તું ન્યાયી માણસને ચેતવે કે તે પાપ ન કરે અને તે પાપ ન કરે તો તે નિશ્ચે જીવતો રહેશે, કેમ કે તેણે ચેતવણી ધ્યાનમાં લીધી છે અને તેં પોતાને બચાવ્યો છે.”
22 And the hand of the Lord came upon me; and he said to me, Arise, and go forth into the plain, and there shall you be spoken to.
૨૨ત્યાં યહોવાહનો હાથ મારા પર હતો, તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “ઊઠ, બહાર મેદાનમાં જા, ત્યાં હું તારી સાથે વાત કરીશ!”
23 And I arose, and went forth to the plain: and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, according to the vision, and according to the glory of the Lord, which I saw by the river of Chobar: and I fell on my face.
૨૩તેથી હું ઊઠીને બહાર મેદાનમાં ગયો, જે ગૌરવ મેં કબાર નદીની પાસે જોયું હતું તેવું જ યહોવાહનું ગૌરવ ત્યાં ઊભું હતું; હું ઊંધો પડી ગયો.
24 Then the Spirit came upon me, and set me on my feet, and spoke to me, and said to me, Go in, and shut yourself up in the midst of your house.
૨૪ઈશ્વરનો આત્મા મારી પાસે આવ્યો અને મને મારા પગ પર ઊભો કર્યો; તેણે મારી સાથે વાત કરીને મને કહ્યું, “ઘરે જઈને પોતાને ઘરની અંદર પ્રવેશી જા.
25 And you, son of man, behold, bonds are prepared for you, and they shall bind you with them, and you shall not come forth of the midst of them.
૨૫કેમ કે હવે, હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, તેઓ તને દોરડાં વડે બાંધી દેશે, જેથી તું તેઓ મધ્યે જઈ શકે નહિ.
26 Also I will bind your tongue, and you shall be dumb, and shall not be to them a reprover: because it is a provoking house.
૨૬હું તારી જીભને તારા તાળવે ચોંટાડી દઈશ, જેથી તું મૂક થઈ જશે; તેઓને ઠપકો આપી શકશે નહિ; કેમ કે તેઓ બંડખોર પ્રજા છે.
27 But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord, He that hears, let him hear; and he that is disobedient, let him be disobedient: because it is a provoking house.
૨૭પણ હું તારી સાથે બોલીશ, ત્યારે હું તારું મુખ ખોલીશ, તું તેઓને કહેજે કે, ‘પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આ પ્રમાણે કહે છે.’ જેને સાંભળવું હોય તે સાંભળે, ન સાંભળવું હોય તે ન સાંભળે, કેમ કે તેઓ બંડખોરપ્રજા છે.”
