Jezekiel 25
1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Es erging aber das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
2 Son of man, set your face steadfastly against the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them;
Menschensohn, richte dein Antlitz wider die Ammoniter, weissage wider sie
3 and you shall say to the children of Ammon, Hear you the word of the Lord; thus says the Lord; Forasmuch as you have rejoiced against my sanctuary, because it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, because it was laid waste; and against the house of Juda, because they went into captivity;
und sprich zu den Ammonitern: Hört das Wort des Herrn Jahwe! So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weil du Ha! riefest über mein Heiligtum, daß es entweiht ward, und über das Land Israel, daß es verwüstet ward, und über das Haus Juda, daß sie in die Verbannung gingen,
4 therefore, behold, I [will] deliver you to the children of Kedem for an inheritance, and they shall lodge in you with their stuff, and they shall pitch their tents in you: they shall eat your fruits, and they shall drink your milk.
darum will ich dich fürwahr denen im Osten zum Besitze geben, daß sie ihre Ringlager in dir einrichten und ihre Behausungen in dir anlegen. Sie werden deine Früchte essen, und sie werden deine Milch trinken.
5 And I will give up the city of Ammon for camels' pastures, and the children of Ammon for a pasture of sheep: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Und ich will Rabba zu einem Kameltrift machen und das Ammoniterland zu einem Lagerplatz für Schafe, damit ihr erkennet, daß ich Jahwe bin.
6 For thus says the Lord; Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with your foot, and heartily rejoiced against the land of Israel;
Denn so spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weil du in die Hand klatschtest und mit dem Fuße stampftest und dich mit einer Verachtung so recht von Herzen über das Land Israel freutest,
7 therefore I will stretch out my hand against you, and I will make you a spoil to the nations; and I will utterly destroy you from amongst the peoples, and I will completely cut you off from out of the countries: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
deshalb fürwahr recke ich meine Hand gegen dich aus und mache dich zu einem Raube für die Völker und rotte dich aus aus den Nationen und tilge dich hinweg aus den Ländern; vernichten will ich dich, damit du erkennest, daß ich Jahwe bin!
8 Thus says the Lord; Because Moab has said, Behold, are not the house of Israel and Juda like all the [other] nations?
So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weil Moab sagt: Nun ist das Haus Juda wie alle andern Völker!
9 Therefore, behold, I will weaken the shoulder of Moab from his frontier cities, [even] the choice land, the house of Bethasimuth above the fountain of the city, by the sea-side.
deshalb fürwahr will ich die Abhänge Moabs offenlegen, daß es der Städte bar wird, seine Städte bis zur äußersten: der Zierde des Landes, Beth Jesimoth, Baal Meon und Kirjathaim.
10 I have given him the children of Kedem in addition to the children of Ammon for an inheritance, that there may be no remembrance of the children of Ammon.
Denen im Osten gebe ich es zum Ammoniterland hinzu zum Besitze, daß der Ammoniter unter den Völkern nicht mehr gedacht werden soll.
11 And I will execute vengeance on Moab; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Und an Moab werde ich Gerichte vollstrecken, damit sie erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin.
12 Thus says the Lord; Because of what the Idumeans have done in taking vengeance on the house of Juda, and [because they] have remembered injuries, and have exacted full recompense;
So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weil Edom rachgierig am Hause Juda gehandelt und sich schwer verschuldet hat, indem es sich an ihnen rächte,
13 therefore thus says the Lord; I will also stretch out my hand upon Idumea, and will utterly destroy out of it man and beast; and will make it desolate; and they that are pursued out of Thaeman shall fall by the sword.
deshalb spricht der Herr Jahwe also: So will ich nun meine Hand gegen Edom ausrecken und Menschen und Vieh aus ihm hinwegtilgen und will es zu einer Wüstenei machen; von Theman bis nach Dedan hin sollen sie durchs Schwert fallen.
14 And I will execute my vengeance on Idumea by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall deal in Idumea according to mine anger and according to my wrath, and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord.
Und ich will meine Rache an Edom in die Hand meines Volkes Israel legen, daß sie mit Edom meinem Zorn und Grimme gemäß verfahren und dieses meine Rache spüre, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe.
15 Therefore thus says the Lord, Because the Philistines have wrought revengefully, and raised up vengeance rejoicing from their heart to destroy [the Israelites] to a man;
So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weil die Philister rachgierig handelten und mit einer Verachtung so recht von Herzen Rache übten, auf ein Vertilgen in endloser Feindschaft bedacht,
16 therefore thus says the Lord; Behold, I [will] stretch out my hand upon the Philistines, and will utterly destroy the Cretans, and will cut off the remnant that dwell by the sea-coast.
darum spricht der Herr Jahwe also: Fürwahr, ich werde meine Hand gegen die Philister ausrecken und die Kreter ausrotten und den Überrest am Meeresstrande vetilgen.
17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have brought my vengeance upon them.
Und ich werde große Rachethaten an ihnen vollstrecken durch grimmige Züchtigungen, damit sie erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin, wenn ich meine Rache über sie bringe.
