Jezekiel 22
1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Entonces la Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:
2 And you, son of man, will you judge the bloody city? yes, declare you to her all her iniquities.
Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿quieres juzgar a la ciudad sanguinaria? Denuncia entonces todas sus repugnancias.
3 And you shall say, Thus says the Lord God: O city that sheds blood in the midst of her, so that her time should come, and that forms devices against herself, to defile herself;
ʼAdonay Yavé dice: ¡Oh ciudad derramadora de sangre dentro de ti, que vas hacia tu fin y que te contaminaste al fabricarte tus ídolos!
4 in their blood which you have shed, you have transgressed; and in your devices which you have formed, you have polluted yourself; and you have brought near your days, and have brought on the time of your years: therefore have I made you a reproach to the Gentiles, and a mockery to all the countries,
Eres culpable por la sangre que derramaste. Te contaminaste con los ídolos que te hiciste. Precipitaste tu hora. Se acerca el fin de tu existencia. Por tanto te convierto en reproche de los pueblos y en burla de todas las tierras.
5 to those near you, and to those far distant from you; and they shall mock you, [you that are] notoriously unclean, and abundant in iniquities.
Las que están cerca y las que están lejos se burlarán de ti, famosa por tu impureza y llena de confusión.
6 Behold, the princes of the house of Israel have conspired in you each one with his kindred, that they might shed blood.
Mira, los gobernantes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, estuvieron en ti con el propósito de derramar sangre.
7 In you they have reviled father and mother; and in you they have behaved unjustly towards the stranger: they have oppressed the orphan and widow.
En ti desprecian al padre y a la madre, atropellan al extranjero, despojan al huérfano y a la viuda,
8 And they have set at nothing my holy things, and in you they have profaned my sabbaths.
menosprecian mis cosas sagradas y profanan mis sábados.
9 [There are] robbers in you, to shed blood in you; and in you they have eaten upon the mountains: they have wrought ungodliness in the midst of you.
En ti hay hombres que calumnian para derramar sangre, van a comer a los lugares altos y cometen perversidades.
10 In you they have uncovered the father's shame; and in you they have humbled her that was set apart for uncleanness.
En ti descubren la desnudez del padre y violan a la mujer durante su flujo menstrual.
11 They have dealt unlawfully each one with his neighbour's wife; and each one in ungodliness has defiled his daughter-in-law: and in you they have humbled each one his sister, the daughter of his father.
En ti cada uno comete repugnancia con la esposa de su prójimo, contamina perversamente a su nuera y viola a su hermana, hija de su padre.
12 In you they have received gifts to shed blood; they have received in you interest and usurious increase; and by oppression you have brought your wickedness to the full, and have forgotten me, says the Lord.
En ti reciben soborno para derramar sangre. Prestas por interés y con usura. Defraudas con violencia a tu prójimo. Te olvidaste de Mí, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.
13 And if I shall strike my hand at [your iniquities] which you have accomplished, which you have wrought, and at your blood that has been shed in the midst of you,
Entonces mira, Yo bato las manos por la ganancia deshonesta que adquieres y por la sangre derramada que hay dentro de ti.
14 shall your heart endure? shall your hands be strong in the days which I bring upon you? I the Lord have spoken, and will do [it].
¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿Tus manos estarán fuertes el día cuando Yo proceda contra ti? Yo, Yavé, hablé y lo cumpliré.
15 And I will scatter you amongst the nations, and disperse you in the countries, and your uncleanness shall be removed out of you.
Te dispersaré entre los pueblos. Te esparciré por las tierras y acabaré tu inmundicia.
16 And I will give heritages in you in the sight of the nations, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Tú misma serás contaminada a vista de las naciones. Y sabrás que Yo soy Yavé.
17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:
18 Son of man, behold, the house of Israel are all become to me [as it were] mixed with brass, and iron, and tin, and lead; they are mixed up in the midst of the silver.
Hijo de hombre, la Casa de Israel se me convirtió en escoria. En el crisol, todos ellos se convirtieron en bronce, estaño, hierro y escoria de plata.
19 Therefore say, Thus says the Lord God; Because you have become one mixture, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
Por tanto ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Por cuanto todos se convirtieron en escoria, ciertamente Yo los reuniré en Jerusalén.
20 As silver, and brass, and iron, and tin, and lead, are gathered into the midst of the furnace, to blow fire into it, that they may be melted: so will I take [you] in my wrath, and I will gather and melt you.
Como reúnen la plata, el bronce, el hierro, el plomo y el estaño en el horno, y soplan fuego sobre ellos para fundirlos, así los reuniré en mi furor. Soplaré, y los fundiré.
21 And I will blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst thereof.
Sí, los reuniré y soplaré sobre ustedes con el fuego de mi furor. Serán fundidos.
22 As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst thereof; and you shall know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath upon you.
Como la plata se funde en el crisol, serán fundidos en ella. Y sabrán que Yo, Yavé, derramé mi furor sobre ustedes.
23 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:
24 Son of man, say to her, You are the land that is not rained upon, neither has rain come upon you in the day of wrath;
Hijo de hombre, dí a ella: Eres una tierra no limpiada, ni rociada con lluvia el día de mi furor.
25 whose princes in the midst of her are as roaring lions seizing prey, devouring souls by oppression, and taking bribes; and your widows are multiplied in the midst of you.
Hay conspiración de tus profetas dentro de ti, como león rugiente que arrebata presa. Devoraron vidas, arrebataron riqueza y cosas preciosas, y dejaron en ti muchas viudas.
26 Her priests also have set at nothing my law, and profaned my holy things: they have not distinguished between the holy and profane, nor have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I was profaned in the midst of them.
Sus sacerdotes violan mi Ley y contaminan mis cosas santas. No distinguen entre lo santo y lo profano. No enseñan la diferencia entre lo impuro y lo puro. Ocultan sus ojos de mis sábados. De este modo Yo soy profanado por ellos.
27 Her princes in the midst of her are as wolves ravening to shed blood, that they may get dishonest gain.
Sus magistrados son como lobos que arrebatan la presa, que derraman sangre y destruyen vidas a fin de obtener ganancia deshonesta.
28 And her prophets that daub them shall fall, that see vanities, that prophesy falsehoods, saying, Thus says the Lord, when the Lord has not spoken.
Al profetizarles vanidad y adivinarles mentira sus profetas cubren con mortero blanco de cal y arena. Les dicen: Así dice ʼAdonay Yavé, cuando Yavé no habló.
29 That sorely oppress the people of the land with injustice, and commit robbery; oppressing the poor and needy, and not dealing justly with the stranger.
El pueblo de la tierra oprime, roba, comete violencia contra el pobre y extorsiona al necesitado y al extranjero.
30 And I sought from amongst them a man behaving uprightly, and standing before me perfectly in the time of wrath, so that I should not utterly destroy her: but I found [him] not.
Busqué entre ellos un hombre que levantara un terraplén y que se metiera en la brecha delante de Mí a favor de la tierra para que Yo no la destruya, pero no lo hallé.
31 So I have poured out my wrath upon her in the fury of mine anger, to accomplish [it]. I have recompensed their ways on their own heads, says the Lord God.
Por tanto derramo sobre ellos mi furor. Los consumo con el ardor de mi ira. Hago caer sus caminos sobre su cabeza, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.
