< Exodus 9 >

1 And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharao, and you shall say to him, These things says the Lord God of the Hebrews; Send my people away that they may serve me.
Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti, “Genda ewa Falaawo omugambe nti, Mukama Katonda wa Abaebbulaniya agambye nti, ‘Leka abantu bange bagende, bansinze.
2 If however you will not send my people away, but yet detain them:
Singa ogaana okubakkiriza okugenda, n’oyongera okubakuumira wano,
3 behold, the hand of the Lord shall be upon your cattle in the fields, both on the horses, and on the asses, and on the camels and oxen and sheep, a very great mortality.
Mukama ajja kusindika nsotoka omukambwe ennyo mu magana go agali mu malundiro, ne mu mbalaasi ne mu ndogoyi, ne mu ŋŋamira, ne mu zisseddume z’ente ne mu ndiga.
4 And I will make a marvellous distinction in that time between the cattle of the Egyptians, and the cattle of the children of Israel: nothing shall die of all that is of the children's of Israel.
Naye Mukama ajja kwawulamu amagana aga Isirayiri n’aga Misiri, waleme kubaawo nsolo n’emu efa mu magana ag’abaana ba Isirayiri.’”
5 And God fixed a limit, saying, To-morrow the Lord will do this thing on the land.
Mukama n’alonda ekiseera, n’agamba nti, “Enkya Mukama w’anaakolera ekintu kino mu nsi eno.”
6 And the Lord did this thing on the next day, and all the cattle of the Egyptians died, but of the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one.
Era enkeera Mukama n’akola ekikolwa ekyo: amagana aga Misiri gonna ne gafa, naye ne wataba nsolo n’emu ku magana ag’abaana ba Isirayiri eyafa.
7 And when Pharao saw, that of all the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one, the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
Falaawo n’atuma abantu okwetegereza, ne basanga nga tewali wadde ensolo n’emu ey’abaana ba Isirayiri eyali efudde. Naye era omutima gwa Falaawo ne gusigala nga gukyakakanyadde, Abayisirayiri n’atabakkiriza kugenda.
8 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, Take you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses scatter it towards heaven before Pharao, and before his servants.
Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa ne Alooni nti, “Muyoole mu kyokero embatu z’omunyale, Musa agumanse waggulu mu bbanga nga ne Falaawo alaba.
9 And let it become dust over all the land of Egypt, and there shall be upon men and upon beasts sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts, in all the land of Egypt.
Gujja kufuuka nfuufu mu nsi yonna ey’e Misiri, guleete amayute ku bantu ne ku nsolo aganaatulikamu amabwa mu nsi yonna ey’e Misiri.”
10 So he took of the ashes of the furnace before Pharao, and Moses scattered it towards heaven, and it became sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts.
Bwe batyo ne bayoola omunyale mu kyokero, ne bagenda bayimirira mu maaso ga Falaawo. Musa n’amansa evvu waggulu mu bbanga, ne lifuuka amayute, ne gatulikamu amabwa ku bantu ne ku nsolo.
11 And the sorcerers could not stand before Moses because of the sores, for the sores were on the sorcerers, and in all the land of Egypt.
Abalogo ne batasobola kuyimirira mu maaso ga Musa olw’amayute; kubanga amayute gaakwata abalogo n’Abamisiri bonna.
12 And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, and he listened not to them, as the Lord appointed.
Naye Mukama n’akakanyaza omutima gwa Falaawo, n’atawuliriza Musa ne Alooni, era nga Mukama bwe yagamba Musa.
13 And the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharao; and you shall say to him, These things says the Lord God of the Hebrews, Send away my people that they may serve me.
Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti, “Ozuukuka mu makya nnyo, n’ogenda oyolekera Falaawo, n’omugamba nti, Mukama Katonda wa Abaebbulaniya agamba bw’ati nti, ‘Leka abantu bange bagende, bampeereze.
14 For at this present time do I send forth all my plagues into your heart, and the heart of your servants and of your people; that you may know that there is not another such as I in all the earth.
Kubanga ku mulundi guno nzija kukusindikira kawumpuli ku ggwe kennyini, ne ku baweereza bo, ne ku bakungu bo, olyoke otegeere nga tewali ali nga nze mu nsi yonna.
15 For now I will stretch forth my hand and strike you and kill your people, and you shall be consumed from off the earth.
Kubanga nandiyinzizza okugolola omukono gwange ne nkusindikira olumbe, ggwe n’abantu bo, ne lubamalawo ku nsi.
16 And for this purpose have you been preserved, that I might display in you my strength, and that my name might bepublished in all the earth.
Naye olw’ensonga eno kyennava nkuleka n’obeera mulamu, ndyoke njolese amaanyi gange, era n’erinnya lyange liryoke litegeezebwe mu nsi yonna.
17 Do you then yet exert yourself to hinder my people, so as not to let them go?
Kyokka okyekulumbaliza ku bantu bange n’otobakkiriza kugenda,
18 Behold, to-morrow at this hour I will rain a very great hail, such as has not been in Egypt, from the time it was created until this day.
noolwekyo, enkya obudde nga bwe buti, nzija kusindika kibuyaga ow’omuzira ogw’amayinja ogutagwangako mu Misiri kasookedde ensi eyo ebaawo.
19 Now then hasten to gather your cattle, and all that you have in the fields; for all the men and cattle as many as shall be found in the fields, and shall not enter into a house, (but the hail shall fall upon them, ) shall die.
Kale, lagira bayingize amagana go ag’ente, n’ebisolo byonna ebiri mu ddundiro, kubanga omuzira gujja kukuba buli muntu ali ebweru era ajja kufa; ne buli nsolo yonna eneebeera ebweru mu ddundiro gujja kugikuba efe.’”
20 He of the servants of Pharao that feared the word of the Lord, gathered his cattle into the houses.
Abakungu ba Falaawo abaali batya ekigambo kya Mukama, ne banguwa ne bayingiza abaddu baabwe n’amagana gaabwe.
21 And he that did not attend in his mind to the word of the Lord, left the cattle in the fields.
Naye abo abatassaayo mwoyo ku kigambo kya Mukama ne baleka abaddu baabwe n’amagana gaabwe ebweru.
22 And the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out your hand to heaven, and there shall be hail on all the land of Egypt, both on the men and on the cattle, and on all the herbage on the land.
Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti, “Golola omukono gwo eri eggulu, omuzira gugwe ku nsi yonna ey’e Misiri: gukube abantu, n’ensolo, ne buli kimera kyonna ekiri mu nnimiro mu Misiri.”
23 And Moses stretched forth his hand to heaven, and the Lord sent thunderings and hail; and the fire ran along upon the ground, and the Lord rained hail on all the land of Egypt.
Musa n’ayolekeza omuggo gwe eri eggulu; Mukama n’asindika okubwatuka n’omuzira; laddu ne yakira ku ttaka. Bw’atyo Mukama n’atonnyesa omuzira ku nsi y’e Misiri.
24 So there was hail and flaming fire mingled with hail; and the hail was very great, such as was not in Egypt, from the time there was a nation upon it.
Omuzira ne gugwa, n’okumyansa ne kwetabika n’omuzira awatali kusalako, ne guba mungi nnyo, nga tegugwangako bwe gutyo kasookedde ensi ya Misiri efuuka ggwanga.
25 And the hail struck in all the land of Egypt both man and beast, and the hail struck all the grass in the field, and the hail broke in pieces all the trees in the field.
Omuzira gwakuba buli kintu kyonna ekyali ebweru mu nnimiro mu nsi yonna ey’e Misiri: abantu n’ensolo; era omuzira ne gukuba buli kimera kyonna mu nnimiro, ne gusensebula emiti gyonna ku ttale.
26 Only in the land of Gesem where the children of Israel were, the hail was not.
Ekitundu kyokka ekitaatuukwamu muzira, kye kya Goseni, abaana ba Isirayiri gye baabeeranga.
27 And Pharao sent and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the Lord [is] righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
Awo Falaawo n’atumya Musa ne Alooni, n’abagamba nti, “Leero luno nnyonoonye; Mukama ye mutuufu, naye nze n’abantu bange ffe bakyamu.
28 Pray then for me to the Lord, and let him cause the thunderings of God to cease, and the hail and the fire, and I will send you forth and you shall remain no longer.
Weegayirire Mukama; kubanga omuzira n’okubwatuka bitwetamizza. Nzija kubaleka mugende; siraba kyemuva mweyongera kubeera wano.”
29 And Moses said to him, When I shall have departed from the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord, and the thunderings shall cease, and the hail and the rain shall be no longer, that you may know that the earth [is] the Lord's.
Musa n’addamu nti, “Olunaafuluma mu kibuga, nnaagolola emikono gyange waggulu eri Mukama ne mmusaba. Okubwatuka kunaasirika, n’omuzira gunaalekera awo okugwa; olyoke otegeere ng’ensi eno Mukama ye nannyini yo.
30 But as for you and your servants, I know that you have not yet feared the Lord.
Kyokka mmanyi nga ggwe n’abakungu bo temunnatya Mukama Katonda.”
31 And the flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was advanced, and the flax was seeding.
(Obugoogwa ne sayiri byakubwa ne bizikirizibwa, kubanga sayiri yali ayengera nga n’obugoogwa bumulisizza.
32 But the wheat and the rye were not struck, for they were late.
Naye eŋŋaano n’omukyere, byo tebyayonoonebwa kubanga byali tebinnayengera.)
33 And Moses went forth from Pharao out of the city, and stretched out his hands to the Lord, and the thunders ceased and the hail, and the rain did not drop on the earth.
Musa n’ava mu kibuga ewa Falaawo, n’awanika emikono gye eri Mukama ng’amusaba; okubwatuka n’omuzira ne bisirika, era n’enkuba n’ekya.
34 And when Pharao saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders ceased, he continued to sin; and [he] hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants.
Naye Falaawo bwe yalaba enkuba, n’omuzira, n’okubwatuka nga birekeddaawo, ate ne yeeyongera okusobya; ye n’abakungu be ne bakakanyaza emitima gyabwe.
35 And the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not send forth the children of Israel, as the Lord said to Moses.
Omutima gwa Falaawo bwe gutyo ne gukakanyala; n’ataleka baana ba Isirayiri kugenda, era nga Mukama bwe yayogerera mu Musa.
