< Exodus 16 >
1 And they departed from Aelim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Aelim and Sina; and on the fifteenth day, in the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt,
Afei, wotu fii Elim baa Sin sare a ɛda Elim ne Bepɔw Sinai ntam no so. Wotu fii Misraim no, ɔsram a ɛto so abien no nnaawɔtwe abien so na woduu hɔ.
2 all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron.
Woduu hɔ no nso, nnipa no kasa tiaa Mose ne Aaron se,
3 And the children of Israel said to them, Would we had died struck by the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, and ate bread to satiety! for you have brought us out into this wilderness, to kill all this congregation with hunger.
“Sɛ yɛwɔ Misraim na anka Awurade rekunkum yɛn wɔ hɔ a, anka yɛpɛ. Na yenya nnuan bebree di wɔ hɔ. Nanso mode yɛn abegu sare so ha ama ɔkɔm rekum yɛn.”
4 And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I [will] rain bread upon you out of heaven: and the people shall go forth, and they shall gather their daily portion for the day, that I may try them whether they will walk in my law or not.
Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se, “Merebɛtɔ aduan afi ɔsoro abegu asase so ama wɔn. Obiara betumi akɔboaboa dodow biara a ɔpɛ ano ama nea obedi no da koro. Mede eyi bɛsɔ wɔn ahwɛ sɛ wobedi mʼahyɛde so anaasɛ wɔrenni so.
5 And it shall come to pass on the sixth day that they shall prepare whatever they have brought in, and it shall be double of what they shall have gathered for the day, daily.
Ka kyerɛ wɔn na nnaawɔtwe biara mu da a ɛto so asia no, wɔmmoaboa aduan no ano sɛnea daa wɔboaboa no no, mmɔho abien.”
6 And Moses and Aaron said to all the congregation of the children of Israel, At even you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Enti Mose ne Aaron frɛɛ Israelfo no nyinaa ne wɔn hyia ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Anwummere yi, mubehu sɛ Awurade na oyii mo fii Misraim asase so.
7 and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, inasmuch as he hears your murmuring against God; and who are we, that you continue to murmur against us?
Sɛ edu anɔpa a, mubehu nʼanuonyam bebree; efisɛ wate sɛnea munwiinwii tia no no. Na yɛn ne hena a munwiinwii tia yɛn?
8 And Moses said, [This shall be] when the Lord gives you in the evening flesh to eat, and bread in the morning to satiety, because the Lord has heard your murmuring, which you murmur against us: and what are we? for your murmuring is not against us, but against God.
Anwummere yi, Awurade bɛma mo nam awe, na wama mo aduan anɔpa, efisɛ wate mo anwiinwii a etia no no. Moannwiinwii antia yɛn, na munwiinwii tiaa Awurade.”
9 And Moses said to Aaron, Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before God; for he has heard your murmuring.
Na Mose ka kyerɛɛ Aaron se, “Ka kyerɛ Israelfo no nyinaa sɛ wɔmmra Awurade anim na wommetie wɔn anwiinwii no ho mmuae.”
10 And when Aaron spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they turned towards the wilderness, then the glory of the Lord appeared in a cloud.
Enti Aaron frɛɛ wɔn boaa ano, na prɛko pɛ, wɔmaa wɔn ani so kyerɛɛ baabi a omununkum a ɛrekyerɛ wɔn kwan no wɔ no, Awurade fii mu daa nʼanuonyam kɛse no adi.
11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose se,
12 I have heard the murmuring of the children of Israel: speak to them, saying, Towards evening you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall be satisfied with bread; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God.
“Mate wɔn anwiinwii no, ka kyerɛ wɔn se, ‘Anwummere, mubenya nam awe na anɔpa nso mubenya aduan pii adi na mubehu sɛ mene Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn, no.’”
13 And it was evening, and quails came up and covered the camp:
Anwummere no, nnomaa pii bebuu so wɔ wɔn atenae hɔ na anɔpa no, obosu tɔ guu sare no so maa ɛyɛɛ fɔkyee.
14 in the morning it came to pass as the dew ceased round about the camp, that, behold, on the face of the wilderness [was] a small thing like white coriander seed, as frost upon the earth.
Obosu no yowee no, nsinsenii nketenkete bi a ɛte sɛ sukyerɛmma beguu asase no so.
15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, What is this? for they knew not what it was; and Moses said to them,
Israelfo no hui no, wobisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Dɛn ni?” Na Mose buaa wɔn se, “Ɛyɛ aduan a Awurade de ama mo sɛ munni no.
16 This [is] the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. This is that which the Lord has appointed: gather of it each man for his family, a homer for each person, according to the number of your souls, gather each of you with his fellow-lodgers.
Awurade aka se, ‘Obiara mmoaboa dodow biara a ɛbɛso ɔne ne fifo di no ano.’”
17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some much and some less.
Enti Israelfo no fii adi kɔboaboaa aduan no bi ano. Ebinom faa pii na bi nso faa kakraa bi.
18 And having measured the homer [full], he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that had gathered less had no lack; each gathered according to the need of those who belonged to him.

19 And Moses said to them, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
Mose ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mommma ade nkye so.”
20 But they did not listen to Moses, but some left of it till the morning; and it bred worms and stank: and Moses was irritated with them.
Nanso ebinom yɛɛ asoɔden maa ade kyee so. Ade kyee so no, na adɔ nsaammoa ma ɛbɔn enti Mose bo fuw wɔn yiye.
21 And they gathered it every morning, each man what he needed, and when the sun waxed hot it melted.
Afei na wɔkɔtase aduan no anɔpa anɔpa, na wɔtase dodow biara a, ɛso ofi biara. Na awia bɔɔ denneennen guu so no, aduan no nyinaa nanee.
22 And it came to pass on the sixth day, they gathered double what was needed, two homers for one [man]; and all the chiefs of the synagogue went in and reported it to Moses.
Da a ɛto so asia no, wɔtasee sɛnea wɔtase no daa no mmɔho abien. Wɔtasee susukoraa asia, nanso daa na wɔtase susukoraa abiɛsa. Mpanyimfo a wotuatua nnipa no ano no bebisaa Mose nea nti a aba saa.
23 And Moses said to them, Is not this the word which the Lord spoke? To-morrow [is] the sabbath, a holy rest to the Lord: bake that you will bake, and seethe that you will seethe, and all that is over leave to be laid by for the morrow.
Mose buaa wɔn se, “Efisɛ Awurade aka ato hɔ se, ‘Ɔkyena yɛ homeda. Ɛyɛ homeda kronkron ma Awurade a ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛyɛ yɛn nnwuma biara. Enti monnoa dodow biara a mopɛ nnɛ, na nea ɛbɛka no, munnyaw mma ade nkye so.’”
24 And they left of it till the morning, as Moses commanded them; and it stank not, neither was there a worm in it.
Na ade kyee so no, na nsaammoa biara nni mu na ɛmmɔn nso.
25 And Moses said, Eat [that] today, for today is a sabbath to the Lord: [it] shall not be found in the plain.
Mose kae se, “Nnɛ, mo aduan ni, efisɛ nnɛ yɛ Awurade homeda enti aduan biara rentɔ ngu asase so.
26 Six days you shall gather it, and on the seventh day is a sabbath, for there shall be none on that [day].
Momfa nnansia mmoaboa aduan ano, efisɛ da a ɛto so ason no yɛ homeda enti morennya aduan biara saa da no.”
27 And it came to pass on the seventh day [that] some of the people went forth to gather, and found none.
Homeda no, nnipa no bi fii adi sɛ wɔrekɔpɛ aduan no bi, nanso na ebi nni hɔ.
28 And the Lord said to Moses, How long are you unwilling to listen to my commands and my law?
Awurade bisaa Mose se, “Saa nnipa yi bɛyɛ asoɔden akosi da bɛn?
29 See, for the Lord has given you this day [as] the sabbath, therefore he has given you on the sixth day the bread of two days: you shall sit each of you in your houses; let no one go forth from his place on the seventh day.
Wonhu sɛ nnansia so no, memaa wɔn mmɔho abien sɛnea ɛbɛso wɔn nnaanu? Awurade se momfa da a ɛto so ason no sɛ homeda; montena mo ntamadan mu. Mummfi adi nkɔtase aduan mfi asase so.”
30 And the people kept sabbath on the seventh day.
Enti da a ɛto so ason no, nnipa no homee.
31 And the children of Israel called the name of it Man; and it was as white coriander seed, and the taste of it as a wafer with honey.
Israelfo no too aduan no din se Mana, ase ne “Ɛyɛ dɛn?” Ɛyɛ fitaa sɛ wusa aba na ɛyɛ dɛ te sɛ tetare a ɛwo wɔ mu.
32 And Moses said, This [is] the thing which the Lord has commanded, Fill an homer with manna, to be laid up for your generations; that they may see the bread which you ate in the wilderness, when the Lord led you forth out of the land of Egypt.
Mose kaa asɛm a Awurade ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ ɔnka nkyerɛ wɔn sɛ wɔmfa aduan no susukoraa abiɛsa na wɔmfa nkosie wɔn adekorabea afebɔɔ sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, nkyirimma behu aduan a Awurade de maa wɔn dii wɔ sare so bere a oyii wɔn fii Misraim no.
33 And Moses said to Aaron, Take a golden pot, and cast into it one full homer of manna; and you shall lay it up before God, to be kept for your generations,
Mose ka kyerɛɛ Aaron se ɔmfa kuruwa na ɔmfa mana lita abiɛsa ngu mu na ɔmfa nsie kronkronbea bi mma nkyirimma.

35 And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to the land they ate the manna, until they came to the region of Phoenicia.
Enti Israelfo dii mana yi mfe aduanan kosii sɛ woduu Kanaan asase so a ɛhɔ de, na afumduan wɔ no.
36 Now the homer was the tenth part of three measures.
Lita abiɛsa yɛ omer baako.
