Esther 10

1 And the king levied [a tax] upon [his] kingdom both by land and sea.

アハシユエロス王國土および海の島々に貢をたてまつらしむ

2 And [as for] his strength and valour, and the wealth and glory of his kingdom, behold, they are written in the book of the Persians and Medes, for a memorial.

アハシユエロス王が權勢と能力をもて爲たる一切の事業および彼がモルデカイを高くして大いなる者とならしめたる事の委き話はメデアとペルシヤの列王の日誌の書に記さるるにあらずや

3 And Mardochaeus was viceroy to king Artaxerxes, and was a great man in the kingdom, and honoured by the Jews, and passed his life beloved of all his nation.

ユダヤ人モルデカイはアハシユエロス王に次ぐ者となりユダヤ人の中にありて大なる者にしてその衆多の兄弟によろこばれたり彼はその民の福祉をもとめその一切の宗族に平和の言をのべたりき
