< Deuteronomy 30 >

1 And it shall come to pass when all these things shall have come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before your face, and you shall call [them] to mind amongst all the nations, wherein the Lord shall have scattered you,
And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither Yhwh thy God hath driven thee,
2 and shall return to the Lord your God, and shall listen to his voice, according to all things which I charge you this day, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
And shalt return unto Yhwh thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 then the Lord shall heal your iniquities, and shall pity you, and shall again gather you out from all the nations, amongst which the Lord has scattered you.
That then Yhwh thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither Yhwh thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If your dispersion be from one end of heaven to the other, thence will the Lord your God gather you, and thence will the Lord your God take you.
If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will Yhwh thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 And the Lord your God shall bring you in from thence into the land which your fathers have inherited, and you shall inherit it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
And Yhwh thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6 And the Lord shall purge your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
And Yhwh thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yhwh thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7 And the Lord your God will put these curses upon your enemies, and upon those that hate you, who have persecuted you.
And Yhwh thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8 And you shall return and listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and shall keep his commands, all that I charge you this day.
And thou shalt return and obey the voice of Yhwh, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9 And the Lord your God shall bless you in every work of your hands, in the offspring of your body, and in the offspring of your cattle, and in the fruits of your land, because the Lord your God will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers:
And Yhwh thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for Yhwh will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10 if you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments, and his ordinances, and his judgements written in the book of this law, if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul.
If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Yhwh thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto Yhwh thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this command which I give you this day is not grievous, neither is it far from you.
For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven above, [as if there were one] saying, Who shall go up for us into heaven, and shall take it for us, and we will hear and do it?
It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, saying, Who will go over for us to the other side of the sea, and take it for us, and make it audible to us, and we will do it?
Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 The word is very near you, in your mouth, and in your heart, and in your hands to do it.
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15 Behold, I have set before you this day life and death, good and evil.
See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 If you will listen to the commands of the Lord your God, which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his ordinances, and his judgements; then you shall live, and shall be many in number, and the Lord your God shall bless you in all the land into which you go to inherit it.
In that I command thee this day to love Yhwh thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: And Yhwh thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if your heart change, and you will not listen, and you shall go astray and worship other gods, and serve them,
But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I declare to you this day, that you shall utterly perish, and you shall by no means live long upon the land, into which you go over Jordan to inherit it.
I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19 I call both heaven and earth to witness this day against you, I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: choose you life, that you and your seed may live;
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 to love the Lord your God, to listen to his voice, and cleave to him; for this [is] your life, and the length of your days, that you should dwell upon the land, which the Lord sware to your fathers, Abraam, and Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them.
That thou mayest love Yhwh thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which Yhwh sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
