< Deuteronomy 29 >
1 These [are] the words of the covenant, which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Choreb.
Yei ne nhyehyɛeɛ a ɛwɔ apam a Awurade hyɛɛ Mose sɛ ɔne Israelfoɔ no nyɛ wɔ Moab nka apam a ɔne wɔn yɛɛ no wɔ Horeb no.
2 And Moses called all the sons of Israel and said to them, You have seen all things that the Lord did in the land of Egypt before you to Pharao and his servants, and all his land;
Mose frɛɛ Israelfoɔ no nyinaa ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ: Mo ahunu deɛ Awurade yɛɛ Farao ne ne mpanimfoɔ ne ne ɔman nyinaa wɔ Misraim no.
3 the great temptations which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders.
Mo ankasa mohunuu sɔhwɛ akɛseɛ, nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a ɛyɛ hu ne anwanwadeɛ akɛseɛ no.
4 Yet the Lord God has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, until this day.
Nanso, ɛbɛsi ɛnnɛ yi, Awurade mmaa mo adwene a ɛte asɛm ase anaa ani a ɛhunu adeɛ anaa aso a ɛte asɛm.
5 And he led you forty years in the wilderness; your garments did not grow old, and your sandals were not worn away off your feet.
Mfeɛ aduanan mu a medii mo anim faa ɛserɛ so no, mo ntoma antete; saa ara na mo mpaboa a ɛhyɛ mo nan nso anhi.
6 You did not eat bread, you did not drink wine or strong drink, that you might know that I [am] the Lord your God.
Moanni aduane, annom nsã anaa nsã a ano yɛ den. Meyɛɛ saa sɛdeɛ mobɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, no.
7 And you came as far as this place; and there came forth Seon king of Esebon, and Og king of Basan, to meet us in war.
Yɛduruu ha no, Hesbonhene Sihon ne Basanhene Og ba bɛko tiaa yɛn, nanso, yɛdii wɔn so.
8 And we struck them and took their land, and I gave it for an inheritance to Ruben and Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasse.
Yɛfaa wɔn asase de maa Ruben ne Gad mmusuakuo ne Manase abusuakuo fa no sɛ wɔn agyapadeɛ.
9 And you shall take heed to do all the words of this covenant, that you may understand all things that you shall do.
Ɛno enti, monni saa apam yi so sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, biribiara a mobɛyɛ no bɛyɛ yie.
10 You all stand today before the Lord your God, the heads of your tribes, and your elders, and your judges, and your officers, every man of Israel,
Mo nyinaa—mo mmusuakuo mpanimfoɔ, mo atemmufoɔ, mo ahwɛfoɔ ne Israel mmarima nyinaa, ɛnnɛ mogyina Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, anim,
11 your wives, and your children, and the stranger who is in the midst of your camp, from your hewer of wood even to your drawer of water,

12 that you should enter into the covenant of the Lord your God and into his oaths, as many as the Lord your God appoints you this day;
Mogyina ha sɛ mo ne Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, rebɛyɛ apam, apam a Awurade ne mo reyɛ ɛnnɛ. Ɔde ntam bɛsɔ ano,
13 that he may appoint you to himself for a people, and he shall be your God, as he said to you, and as he sware to your fathers, Abraam, and Isaac, and Jacob.
na wasi so gyinaeɛ sɛ ɛnnɛ, moyɛ ne nkurɔfoɔ na ɔno nso bɛyɛ mo Onyankopɔn sɛdeɛ ɔhyɛɛ mo bɔ no na ɔkaa ntam kyerɛɛ mo agyanom Abraham, Isak ne Yakob no.
14 And I do not appoint to you alone this covenant and this oath;
Mereyɛ saa apam yi a ne ntam bata ho. Apam yi, ɛnyɛ mo a
15 but to those also who are here with you today before the Lord your God, and to those who are not here with you today.
mo ne yɛn gyina ha ɛnnɛ wɔ Awurade mo Onyankopɔn anim no nko dea. Na mmom ɛwɔ hɔ ma wɔn a wɔnni ha nso.
16 For you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, how we came through the midst of the nations through whom you came.
Mo ankasa monim sɛdeɛ yɛtenaa Misraim ne sɛdeɛ yɛreba ha no yɛfaa aman so bɛsii ha.
17 And you saw their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which are amongst them.
Mohunuu akyiwadeɛ ahoni a wɔde nnua ne aboɔ ne dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ ayɛ wɔ wɔn nkyɛn.
18 Lest there be amongst you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart has turned aside from the Lord your God, having gone to serve the gods of these nations; lest there be in you a root springing up with gall and bitterness.
Monhwɛ yie sɛ ɔbarima anaa ɔbaa anaa abusua biara a wɔwɔ mo mu ɛnnɛ no mu biara akoma rennane mfiri Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, ho nkɔsom saa aman yi anyame; monhunu sɛ, duhini biara nni mo mu a ɛpu bɔnwoma a ɛyɛ nwono saa.
19 And it shall be if one shall hear the words of this curse, and shall flatter himself in his heart, saying, Let good happen to me, for I will walk in the error of my heart, lest the sinner destroy the guiltless with [him]:
Ɛnsɛ sɛ obiara a ɔte nnome ho kɔkɔbɔ nsɛm yi susu sɛ ɔno deɛ hwee renka no. Mma no nka wɔ ne tirim sɛ, “Me ho sɔnn, ɛmfa ho sɛ menam asoɔden kwan so.” Yei de ɔsɛeɛ a ɛso bɛba.
20 God shall by no means be willing to pardon him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his jealousy shall flame out against that man; and all the curses of this covenant shall attach themselves to him, which are written in this book, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven.
Awurade remfa nkyɛ saa nnipa no. Nʼabufuo ne ne ninkunu bɛhye atia wɔn. Nnome a wɔatwerɛ no saa nwoma yi mu nyinaa bɛba wɔn so na Awurade bɛpepa wɔn din afiri ɔsoro ase.
21 And the Lord shall separate that man for evil of all the children of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in the book of this law.
Awurade bɛtwe wɔn afiri Israel mmusuakuo nyinaa mu na wahwie apam no mu nnome nyinaa a wɔatwerɛ wɔ saa mmara nwoma no mu agu wɔn so.
22 And another generation shall say—even your sons who shall rise up after you, and the stranger who shall come from a land afar off, and shall see the plagues of that land and their diseases, which the Lord has sent upon it,
Afei, nkyirimma a wɔbɛba, wɔn a wɔfiri mo ase ne wɔn a wɔfiri ahɔhoɔ ase a wɔfiri akyirikyiri asase so bɛhunu asase no sɛeɛ ne nyarewa a Awurade de bɛbrɛ asase no.
23 brimstone and burning salt, (the whole land shall not be sown, neither shall any green thing spring, nor rise upon it, as Sodom and Gomorrha were overthrown, Adama and Seboim, which the Lord overthrew in his wrath and anger: )—
Wɔbɛhunu sɛ, wɔn asase no dɔteɛ adane sɔfe ne nkyene a wɔdua so biribiara a ɛnyɛ yie, na hwee nso nnyini wɔ so—mpo, ɛserɛ ahahan. Ɛbɛyɛ te sɛ Sodom ne Gomora, Adma ne Seboim a Awurade sɛee no nʼabufuo mu no.
24 and all the nations shall say, Why has the Lord done thus to this land? what [is] this great fierceness of anger?
Aman a atwa ahyia no bɛbisa sɛ, “Adɛn enti na Awurade ayɛ saa asase yi saa? Adɛn enti na ne bo fu denden saa?”
25 And [men] shall say, Because they forsook the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, the things which he appointed to their fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt:
Na wɔbɛka akyerɛ wɔn sɛ, “Saa asɛm yi siiɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, nnipa a wɔwɔ asase no so buu apam a wɔne Awurade, wɔn agyanom Onyankopɔn yɛeɛ ɛberɛ a ɔyii wɔn firii Misraim asase so.
26 and they went and served other gods, which they knew not, neither did he assign [them] to them.
Wɔdane kɔsom anyame foforɔ a wɔyɛ ahɔhoɔ ma wɔn, anyame a Awurade nkyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ wɔnsom.
27 And the Lord was exceedingly angry with that land to bring upon it according to all the curses which are written in the book of this law.
Ɛno enti na Awurade abufuo dɛre tiaa saa asase yi, nam so de nnome a wɔatwerɛ wɔ saa nwoma yi mu no baa wɔn so no.
28 And the Lord removed them from their land in anger, and wrath, and very great indignation, and cast them out into another land as at present.
Abufuhyeɛ mu, Awurade tutuu ne nkurɔfoɔ ase firii wɔn asase so twaa wɔn asuo de wɔn kɔguu asase foforɔ a wɔte so seesei no.”
29 The secret things [belong] to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed [belong] to us and to our children for ever, to do all the words of this law.
Ahintasɛm nyinaa firi Awurade mo Onyankopɔn hɔ, na nneɛma a wada no adi akyerɛ yɛn ne yɛn asefoɔ no, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛhyɛ no nso, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, yɛbɛdi ne mmaransɛm yi so.
