Deuteronomy 22
1 When you see the calf of your brother or his sheep wandering in the way, you shall not overlook them; you shall by all means turn them back to your brother, and you shall restore them to him.
௧“உன் சகோதரனுடைய மாடாவது ஆடாவது வழிதப்பிப்போகிறதை நீ கண்டால், அதைக் காணாதவன்போல் இருக்காமல், அதை உன் சகோதரனிடத்திற்குத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டு போகக்கடவாய்.
2 And if your brother do not come near you, and you do not know him, you shall bring it into your house within; and it shall be with you until your brother shall seek them, and you shall restore them to him.
௨உன் சகோதரன் உனக்குச் சமீபமாயிராமலும், உனக்கு அறிமுகமாயிராமலும் இருந்தால், நீ அதை உன் வீட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அதை உன் சகோதரன் தேடிவரும்வரை உன்னிடத்திலே வைத்து, அவனுக்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கக்கடவாய்.
3 Thus shall you do to his ass, and thus shall you do to his garment, and thus shall you do to every thing that your brother has lost; whatever shall have been lost by him, and you shall have found, you shall not have power to overlook.
௩அப்படியே அவனுடைய கழுதையைக்குறித்தும் செய்யக்கடவாய்; அவன் உடையைக்குறித்தும் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவாய்; உன் சகோதரனிடத்திலிருந்து காணாமற்போனவைகளில் எதையாகிலும் கண்டுபிடித்தாயானால் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவாய்; அவைகளை நீ காணாதவன் போல் விட்டுப்போகக்கூடாது.
4 You shall not see the ass of your brother, or his calf, fallen in the way: you shall not overlook them, you shall surely help him to raise them up.
௪“உன் சகோதரனுடைய கழுதையாவது அவனுடைய மாடாவது வழியிலே விழுந்துகிடக்கிறதை நீ கண்டால், அதைக் காணாதவன்போல விட்டுப்போகாமல், அவனுடன்கூட அதைத் தூக்கியெடுத்துவிடுவாயாக.
5 The apparel of a man shall not be on a woman, neither shall a man put on a woman's dress; for every one that does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
௫“ஆண்களின் உடைகளை பெண்கள் அணியக்கூடாது, பெண்களின் உடைகளை ஆண்கள் அணியக்கூடாது; அப்படிச் செய்கிறவர்கள் எல்லோரும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானவர்கள்.
6 And if you should come upon a brood of birds before your face in the way or upon any tree, or upon the earth, young or eggs, and the mother be brooding on the young or the eggs, you shall not take the dam with the young ones.
௬“வழியருகே ஒரு மரத்திலோ தரையிலோ குஞ்சுகளாவது முட்டைகளாவது உள்ள ஒரு குருவிக்கூட்டை நீ பார்க்கும்போது, தாயானது குஞ்சுகளின் மேலாவது முட்டைகளின் மேலாவது அடைகாத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தால், நீ குஞ்சுகளுடன் தாயையும் பிடிக்கக்கூடாது.
7 You shall by all means let the mother go, but you shall take the young to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may live long.
௭தாயைப் போகவிட்டு, குஞ்சுகளை மாத்திரம் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம்; அப்பொழுது நீ நன்றாயிருப்பாய்; உன் நாட்களும் நீடித்திருக்கும்.
8 If you should build a new house, then shall you make a parapet to your house; so you shall not bring blood-guiltiness upon your house, if one should in any wise fall from it.
௮“நீ புது வீட்டைக் கட்டினால், ஒருவன் அதன் மாடியிலிருந்து விழுகிறதினாலே, நீ இரத்தப்பழியை உன் வீட்டின்மேல் சுமத்திக்கொள்ளாமலிருக்க, அதற்குக் கைப்பிடிச் சுவரைக் கட்டவேண்டும்.
9 You shall not sow your vineyard with diverse seed, lest the fruit be devoted, and whatever seed you may sow, with the fruit of your vineyard.
௯“உன் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திலே பலவிதமான விதையை விதைக்காதே; இப்படிச் செய்தால் நீ விதைத்த விதைகளின் பயிரையும், திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் பலனையும் தீட்டுப்படுத்துவாய்.
10 You shall not plough with an ox and an ass together.
௧0மாட்டையும், கழுதையையும் இணைத்து உழாதிருப்பாயாக.
11 You shall not wear a mingled [garment], woollen and linen together.
௧௧ஆட்டுரோமமும் பஞ்சுநூலும் கலந்த ஆடையை அணியாதே.
12 You shall make fringes on the four borders of your garments, with which soever you may be clothed.
௧௨“நீ அணிந்துகொள்கிற உன் மேல்சட்டையின் நான்கு ஓரங்களிலும் தொங்கல்களை உண்டாக்குவாயாக.
13 And if any one should take a wife, and dwell with her, and hate her,
௧௩“ஒரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம்செய்த ஒருவன் அவளிடத்தில் உறவுகொண்ட பின்பு அவளை வெறுத்து:
14 and attach to her reproachful words, and bring against her an evil name, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her I found not her tokens of virginity:
௧௪நான் இந்தப் பெண்ணைத் திருமணம்செய்து, அவளிடத்தில் உறவுகொண்டபோது கன்னித்தன்மையைக் காணவில்லை என்று அவள் மேல் குற்றம் சுமத்தி, அவளுக்கு அவதூறு உண்டாக்கினால்;
15 then the father and the mother of the damsel shall take and bring out the damsel's tokens of virginity to the elders of the city to the gate.
௧௫அந்தப் பெண்ணின் தகப்பனும் தாயும் அவளுடைய கன்னித்தன்மையின் அடையாளத்தைப் பட்டணத்து வாசலிலுள்ள மூப்பர்களிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரக்கடவர்கள்.
16 And the father of the damsel shall say to the elders, I gave this my daughter to this man for a wife;
௧௬அங்கே அந்தப் பெண்ணின் தகப்பன்: என் மகளை இந்த மனிதனுக்கு மனைவியாகக் கொடுத்தேன், இவன் அவளை வெறுத்து,
17 and now he has hated her, and attaches reproachful words to her, saying, I have not found tokens of virginity with your daughter; and these [are] the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall unfold the garment before the elders of the city.
௧௭நான் உன் மகளிடத்தில் கன்னித்தன்மையைக் காணவில்லையென்று அவள்மேல் குற்றம் சுமத்துகிறான்; என் மகளுடைய கன்னித்தன்மையின் அடையாளம் இங்கே இருக்கிறது என்று மூப்பர்களிடத்தில் சொல்வானாக; பின்பு பட்டணத்து மூப்பர்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்த ஆடையை விரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man, and shall chastise him,
௧௮அப்பொழுது அந்தப் பட்டணத்து மூப்பர்கள் அந்த மனிதனைப் பிடித்து, அவனைத் தண்டித்து,
19 and shall fine him a hundred shekels, and shall give [them] to the father of the damsel, because he has brought forth an evil name against a virgin of Israel; and she shall be his wife: he shall never be able to put her away.
௧௯அவன் இஸ்ரவேலில் ஒரு கன்னியை அவதூறுசெய்ததால், அவன் கையிலிருந்து நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசை அபராதமாக வாங்கி, பெண்ணின் தகப்பனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்; அவளோ அவனுக்கு மனைவியாயிருக்க வேண்டும்; அவன் தான் உயிருள்ளவரை அவளைத் தள்ளிவிடக்கூடாது.
20 But if this report be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel;
௨0அந்தப் பெண்ணிடத்தில் கன்னித்தன்மை காணப்படவில்லையென்னும் குற்றச்சாட்டு நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டால்,
21 then shall they bring out the damsel to the doors of her father's house, and shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; because she has wrought folly amongst the children of Israel, to defile the house of her father by whoring: so you shall remove the evil one from amongst you.
௨௧அந்தப் பெண்ணை அவள் தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டுவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவள் இஸ்ரவேலில் மதிகெட்ட காரியத்தைச் செய்து, தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டில் வேசித்தனம்செய்ததால், அவளுடைய பட்டணத்து மனிதர்கள் அவளைக் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லக்கடவர்கள்; இப்படியே தீமையை உன் நடுவிலிருந்து விலக்குவாயாக.
22 And if a man be found lying with a woman married to a man, you shall kill them both, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shall you remove the wicked one out of Israel.
௨௨“ஆணுக்கு திருமணம்செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்ணுடன் ஒருவன் உறவுகொள்வது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டால், அந்தப் பெண்ணுடன் உறவுகொண்ட மனிதனும் அந்த பெண்ணும் இருவரும் சாகவேண்டும்; இப்படியே தீமையை இஸ்ரவேலிலிருந்து விலக்குவாயாக.
23 And if there be a young damsel espoused to a man, and a man should have found her in the city and have lain with her;
௨௩“கன்னிகையான ஒரு பெண் ஒருவனுக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, மற்றொருவன் அவளை ஊருக்குள்ளே கண்டு, அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டால்,
24 you shall bring them both out to the gate of their city, and they shall be stoned with stones, and they shall die; the damsel, because she cried not in the city; and the man, because he humbled his neighbour's spouse: so shall you remove the evil one from yourselves.
௨௪அப்பொழுது அந்தப் பெண் ஊருக்குள்ளிருந்தும் கூச்சலிடாததினாலும், அந்த மனிதன் பிறனுடைய மனைவியைக் கற்பழித்தபடியினாலும், இருவரையும் அந்தப் பட்டணத்து வாசலுக்குமுன் கொண்டுபோய், அவர்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லக்கடவீர்கள்; இப்படியே தீமையை உன் நடுவிலிருந்து விலக்குவாயாக.
25 But if a man find in the field a damsel that is betrothed, and he should force her and lie with her, you shall kill the man that lay with her only.
௨௫“ஒருவனுக்கு நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்ணை வெளியிலே ஒருவன் கண்டு, அவளைப் பலவந்தமாகப் பிடித்து, அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்டானேயாகில், அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்ட மனிதன் மாத்திரம் சாகக்கடவன்.
26 And the damsel has not [committed] a sin worthy of death; as if a man should rise up against his neighbour, and kill him, so [is] this thing;
௨௬பெண்ணுக்கு ஒன்றும் செய்யக்கூடாது; பெண்ணின்மேல் மரணத்திற்கு ஏதுவான குற்றம் இல்லை; இக்காரியம் ஒருவன் மற்றொருவன்மேல் எழும்பி அவனைக் கொன்றதுபோல இருக்கிறது.
27 because he found her in the field; the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to help her.
௨௭வெளியிலே அவன் அவளைக் கண்டான்; நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்ட அந்தப் பெண் அச்சமயத்தில் கூக்குரலிட்டும் அவளைக் காப்பாற்றுபவர் இல்லாமற்போனது.
28 And if any one should find a young virgin who has not been betrothed, and should force [her] and lie with her, and be found,
௨௮“நிச்சயிக்கப்படாத கன்னிகையாகிய ஒரு பெண்ணை ஒருவன் கண்டு, கையைப் பிடித்து அவளுடன் உறவுகொள்ளும்போது, அவர்கள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டால்,
29 the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the damsel fifty silver didrachmas, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he shall never be able to put her away.
௨௯அவளுடன் உறவுகொண்ட மனிதன் பெண்ணின் தகப்பனுக்கு ஐம்பது வெள்ளிக்காசுகளைக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; அவன் அவளைக் கற்பழித்ததால், அவள் அவனுக்கு மனைவியாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; அவன் உயிரோடிருக்கும்வரை அவளை விவாகரத்து செய்யக்கூடாது.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
௩0“ஒருவனும் தன் தகப்பனுடைய மனைவியுடன் உறவுகொள்ளக்கூடாது; தன் தகப்பன் மானத்தை அவன் வெளிப்படுத்தக்கூடாது.
