< Deuteronomy 22 >
1 When you see the calf of your brother or his sheep wandering in the way, you shall not overlook them; you shall by all means turn them back to your brother, and you shall restore them to him.
Not you will see [the] ox of countryman your or sheep his going astray and you will hide yourself from them certainly you will return them to countryman your.
2 And if your brother do not come near you, and you do not know him, you shall bring it into your house within; and it shall be with you until your brother shall seek them, and you shall restore them to him.
And if not [is] near countryman your to you and not you know him and you will gather it into [the] middle of house your and it will be with you until seeks countryman your it and you will return it to him.
3 Thus shall you do to his ass, and thus shall you do to his garment, and thus shall you do to every thing that your brother has lost; whatever shall have been lost by him, and you shall have found, you shall not have power to overlook.
And thus you will do for donkey his and thus you will do for clothing his and thus you will do for every thing lost of countryman your which it will be lost from him and you will find it not you will be able to hide yourself.
4 You shall not see the ass of your brother, or his calf, fallen in the way: you shall not overlook them, you shall surely help him to raise them up.
Not you will see [the] donkey of countryman your or ox his falling by the way and you will hide yourself from them certainly you will raise [it] up with him.
5 The apparel of a man shall not be on a woman, neither shall a man put on a woman's dress; for every one that does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
Not it will be [the] garment[s] of a man on a woman and not he will wear a man [the] clothing of a woman for [is] [the] abomination of Yahweh God your every [one who] does these [things].
6 And if you should come upon a brood of birds before your face in the way or upon any tree, or upon the earth, young or eggs, and the mother be brooding on the young or the eggs, you shall not take the dam with the young ones.
If it will be met a nest of a bird - before you by the way in any tree - or on the ground young ones or eggs and the mother [is] lying on the young ones or on the eggs not you will take the mother with the young ones.
7 You shall by all means let the mother go, but you shall take the young to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may live long.
Certainly you will let go the mother and the young ones you will take for yourself so that it may go well for you and you will prolong days.
8 If you should build a new house, then shall you make a parapet to your house; so you shall not bring blood-guiltiness upon your house, if one should in any wise fall from it.
If you will build a house new and you will make a parapet for roof your and not you will put blood on house your if he will fall [one who] falls from it.
9 You shall not sow your vineyard with diverse seed, lest the fruit be devoted, and whatever seed you may sow, with the fruit of your vineyard.
Not you will sow vineyard your two kinds lest it should be set apart the full produce the seed which you will sow and [the] produce of the vineyard.
10 You shall not plough with an ox and an ass together.
Not you will plow with an ox and with a donkey together.
11 You shall not wear a mingled [garment], woollen and linen together.
Not you will wear mixed stuff wool and linen together.
12 You shall make fringes on the four borders of your garments, with which soever you may be clothed.
Tassels you will make for yourself on [the] four [the] corners of covering your which you will cover with it.
13 And if any one should take a wife, and dwell with her, and hate her,
If he will take a man a wife and he will go into her and he will hate her.
14 and attach to her reproachful words, and bring against her an evil name, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her I found not her tokens of virginity:
And he will make to her deeds of words and he will send forth on her a name bad and he will say the woman this I took and I drew near to her and not I found to her virginiti.
15 then the father and the mother of the damsel shall take and bring out the damsel's tokens of virginity to the elders of the city to the gate.
And he will take [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) and mother her and they will bring forth [the] virginiti of (the young woman *Q(k)*) to [the] elders of the city the gate towards.
16 And the father of the damsel shall say to the elders, I gave this my daughter to this man for a wife;
And he will say [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) to the elders daughter my I gave to the man this to a wife and he hated her.
17 and now he has hated her, and attaches reproachful words to her, saying, I have not found tokens of virginity with your daughter; and these [are] the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall unfold the garment before the elders of the city.
And there! he he has made deeds of words saying not I found to daughter your virginiti and these [are] [the] virginiti of daughter my and they will spread out the garment before [the] elders of the city.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man, and shall chastise him,
And they will take [the] elders of the city that the man and they will punish him.
19 and shall fine him a hundred shekels, and shall give [them] to the father of the damsel, because he has brought forth an evil name against a virgin of Israel; and she shall be his wife: he shall never be able to put her away.
And they will fine him a hundred silver and they will give [them] to [the] father of the young woman for he has sent forth a name bad on [the] virgin of Israel and of him she will become a wife not he will be able (to send away her *L(abh)*) all days his.
20 But if this report be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel;
And if truth it was the word this not they were found virginiti (for the young woman. *Q(k)*)
21 then shall they bring out the damsel to the doors of her father's house, and shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; because she has wrought folly amongst the children of Israel, to defile the house of her father by whoring: so you shall remove the evil one from amongst you.
And they will bring out (the young woman *Q(k)*) to [the] entrance of [the] house of father her and they will stone her [the] men of city her with stones and she will die for she has done folly in Israel by acting as a prostitute [the] house of father her and you will remove the evil from midst your.
22 And if a man be found lying with a woman married to a man, you shall kill them both, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shall you remove the wicked one out of Israel.
If he will be found a man lying - with a woman married of a husband and they will die also both of them the man who lay with the woman and the woman and you will remove the evil from Israel.
23 And if there be a young damsel espoused to a man, and a man should have found her in the city and have lain with her;
If he will be (a young woman *Q(k)*) a virgin betrothed to a man and he will find her a man in the city and he will lie with her.
24 you shall bring them both out to the gate of their city, and they shall be stoned with stones, and they shall die; the damsel, because she cried not in the city; and the man, because he humbled his neighbour's spouse: so shall you remove the evil one from yourselves.
And you will bring out both of them to [the] gate of - the city that and you will stone them with stones and they will die (the young woman *Q(k)*) on [the] thing that not she cried for help in the city and the man on [the] thing that he has humiliated [the] wife of neighbor his and you will remove the evil from midst your.
25 But if a man find in the field a damsel that is betrothed, and he should force her and lie with her, you shall kill the man that lay with her only.
And if in the open country he will find the man (the young woman *Q(k)*) betrothed and he will take hold on her the man and he will lie with her and he will die the man who lay with her to only him.
26 And the damsel has not [committed] a sin worthy of death; as if a man should rise up against his neighbour, and kill him, so [is] this thing;
(And to the young woman *Q(k)*) not you will do anything not ([belongs] to the young woman *Q(k)*) sin of death for just as he will arise someone on neighbor his and he will kill him life so the matter this.
27 because he found her in the field; the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to help her.
That in the open country he found her she cried for help (the young woman *Q(k)*) betrothed and not a deliverer [belonged] to her.
28 And if any one should find a young virgin who has not been betrothed, and should force [her] and lie with her, and be found,
If he will find a man (a young woman *Q(k)*) a virgin who not she is betrothed and he will seize her and he will lie with her and they will be found.
29 the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the damsel fifty silver didrachmas, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he shall never be able to put her away.
And he will give the man who lay with her to [the] father of (the young woman *Q(k)*) fifty silver and of him she will become a wife because that he has humiliated her not he will be able (to send away her *L(abh)*) all days his.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
Not he will take a man [the] wife of father his and not he will uncover [the] skirt of father his.
