Kings II 7

1 And it came to pass when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him an inheritance on every side [free] from all his enemies round about him;

ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ରାଜା ଆପଣା ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥିତ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ

2 that the king said to Nathan the prophet, Behold now, I live in a house of cedar, and the ark of the Lord dwells in the midst of a tent.

ରାଜା ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଏବେ ମୁଁ ଏରସ କାଷ୍ଠରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛି, ମାତ୍ର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ପରଦା ପଛରେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛି।”

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go and do all that [is] in your heart, for the Lord [is] with you.

ତହିଁରେ ନାଥନ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ହୃଦୟରେ ଯାହା ଅଛି, ତାହାସବୁ କର; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।”

4 And it came to pass in that night, that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,

ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେହି ରାତ୍ରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ନାଥନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା, ଯଥା,

5 Go, and say to my servant David, Thus says the Lord, You shall not build me a house for me to dwell in.

“ଯାଅ, ଆମ୍ଭ ଦାସ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଅ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବସତି-ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବ?

6 For I have not lived in a house from the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt to this day, but I have been walking in a lodge and in a tent,

ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ମିସରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଦିନାବଧି ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କୌଣସି ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରି ନାହୁଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତମ୍ବୁ ଓ ଆବାସ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗତାୟାତ କରିଅଛୁ।

7 wherever I went with all Israel. Have I ever spoken to any of the tribes of Israel, which I commanded to tend my people Israel, saying, Why have you not built me a house of Cedar?

ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନ ସହିତ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କଲୁ, ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରେ, ଆମ୍ଭ ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ପାଳନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଏପରି କୌଣସି ବଂଶକୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏରସ କାଷ୍ଠର ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ନାହଁ, ଏପରି ଏକ କଥା କି ଆମ୍ଭେ କହିଅଛୁ?’

8 And now thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the Lord Almighty, I took you from the sheep-cote, that you should be a prince over my people, over Israel.

ଏଣୁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଦାସ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି କୁହ, ‘ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭ ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ହେବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମେଷଶାଳାରୁ, ମେଷମାନଙ୍କ ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍‍ଗମନରୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲୁ;

9 And I was with you wherever you went, and I destroyed all your enemies before you, and I made you renowned according to the renown of the great ones on the earth.

ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସଙ୍ଗୀ ହେଲୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଶତ୍ରୁଙ୍କୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କଲୁ; ଆହୁରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୃଥିବୀସ୍ଥ ମହାନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମହାନାମ କରିବା।

10 And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell by themselves, and shall be no more distressed; and the son of iniquity shall no more afflict them, as he [has done] from the beginning,

ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନ ନିରୂପଣ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରୋପଣ କରିବା, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବାସ କରି ଆଉ ଶାସିତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ;

11 from the days when I appointed judges over my people Israel: and I will give you rest from all your enemies, and the Lord will tell you that you shall build a house to him.

କିଅବା ଯେପରି ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଓ ଯେଉଁ ସମୟାବଧି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣକୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛୁ, ସେସମୟାବଧି ଯେପରି ହୋଇଅଛି, ସେପରି ଅଧର୍ମର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଶତ୍ରୁଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦେବା। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହନ୍ତି ଯେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ବଂଶ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବେ।

12 And it shall come to pass when your days shall have been fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, even your own issue, and I will establish his kingdom.

ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦିନ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଶୟନ କଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଔରସଜାତ ବଂଶକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ରାଜ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥିର କରିବା।

13 He shall build for me a house to my name, and I will set up his throne even for ever.

ସେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ରାଜ୍ୟ-ସିଂହାସନ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ କରିବା।

14 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. And when he happens to transgress, then will I chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men.

ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ପିତା ହେବା ଓ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପୁତ୍ର ହେବ; ସେ ଅପରାଧ କଲେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦଣ୍ଡରେ ଓ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରହାରରେ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବା।

15 But my mercy I will not take from him, as I took it from those whom I removed from my presence.

ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ଶାଉଲଠାରୁ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦୟା ଦୂର କଲୁ, ସେପରି ତାହାଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦୟା ଦୂର ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

16 And his house shall be made sure, and his kingdom for ever before me, and his throne shall be set up for ever.

ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ରାଜତ୍ୱ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ସ୍ଥିରୀକୃତ ହେବ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ସିଂହାସନ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ।’”

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

ନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଏସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ଦର୍ଶନ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ କଥା କହିଲେ।

18 And king David came in, and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord, my Lord, and what [is] my house, that you have loved me hitherto?

ଏଥିରେ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବସିଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୁଁ କିଏ ଓ ମୋର ବଂଶ ବା କଅଣ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଣିଅଛ?

19 Whereas I was very little before you, O Lord, my Lord, yet you spoke concerning the house of your servant for a long time to [to come]. And [is] this the law of man, O Lord, my Lord?

ତଥାପି, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଏହା ହିଁ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ବିଷୟ ହେଲା; ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସର ବଂଶ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଗତ ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳର କଥା ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଅଛ; ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଏହା କʼଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା?

20 And what shall David yet say to you? and now you know your servant, O Lord, my Lord.

ଏଣୁ ଦାଉଦ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଉ କଅଣ କହିପାରେ? କାରଣ ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ ଜାଣୁଅଛ।

21 And you have wrought for your servant's sake, and according to your heart you have wrought all this greatness, to make it known to your servant,

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ ବାକ୍ୟ ସକାଶୁ ଓ ନିଜ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସାରେ ଏହିସବୁ ମହାନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରି ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ ଜଣାଇଅଛ।

22 that he may magnify you, O my Lord; for there is no one like you, and there is no God, but you amongst all of whom we have heard with our ears.

ଏହେତୁ ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମହାନ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆଉ କେହି ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜ କର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛଡ଼ା ଆଉ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କେହି ନାହିଁ।

23 And what other nation in the earth [is] as your people Israel? whereas God was his guide, to redeem for himself a people to make you a name, to do mightily and nobly, so that you should cast out nations an [their] tabernacles from the presence of your people, whom you did redeem for yourself out of Egypt?

ତୁମ୍ଭ ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ଆଉ କେଉଁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଅଛି? ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଲୋକ ରୂପେ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ, ଓ ଆପଣା ନାମ କରିବାକୁ ପୁଣି ମିସରରୁ, ନାନା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦେବଗଣଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ମୁକ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମହତ୍ କର୍ମ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ଭୟାନକ କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆଗମନ କରିଥିଲେ।

24 And you has prepared for yourself your people Israel to be a people for ever, and you, Lord, are become their God.

ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳଯାଏ ଆପଣା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଲୋକ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ କରିଅଛ। ଆଉ ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ହୋଇଅଛ।

25 And now, O my Lord, the Almighty Lord God of Israel, confirm the word for ever which you have spoken concerning your servant and his house: and now as you have said,

ଏବେ ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସ ବିଷୟରେ ଓ ତାହାର ବଂଶ ବିଷୟରେ ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ କହିଅଛ, ତାହା ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୃଢ଼ କର ଓ ଯେପରି କହିଅଛ, ସେପରି କର।

26 Let your name be magnified for ever.

ପୁଣି ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦାସ ଦାଉଦର ବଂଶ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ, ଏହି କଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ମହତ୍ ହେଉ।

27 Almighty Lord God of Israel, you have uncovered the ear of your servant, saying, I will build you a house: therefore your servant has found [in] his heart to pray this prayer to you.

କାରଣ ହେ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ବଂଶ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସର କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚର କରିଅଛ; ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ସାହସ ପାଇଲା।

28 And now, O Lord my Lord, you are God; and your words will be true, and you have spoken these good things concerning your servant.

ଆଉ ଏବେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ, ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ମଙ୍ଗଳ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛ;

29 And now begin and bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you; for you, O Lord, my Lord, have spoken, and the house of your servant shall be blessed with your blessing so as to continue for ever.

ଏହେତୁ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦାସର ବଂଶ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ ରହିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ କରି ତାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କର; କାରଣ ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପେ ଏହା କହିଅଛ; ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦାସର ବଂଶ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦରେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଉ।”
