Kings II 22
1 And David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, in the day in which the Lord rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
E falou David ao Senhor as palavras deste cântico, no dia em que o Senhor o livrou das mãos de todos os seus inimigos e das mãos de Saul.
2 And the song was thus: O Lord, my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer,
Disse pois: O Senhor é o meu rochedo, e o meu lugar forte, e o meu libertador.
3 my God; he shall be to me my guard, I will trust in him: [he is] my protector, and the horn of my salvation, my helper, and my sure refuge; you shall save me from the unjust man.
Deus é o meu rochedo, nele confiarei: o meu escudo, e a força da minha salvação, o meu alto retiro, e o meu refúgio. O meu Salvador, de violência me salvaste.
4 I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised, and I shall be saved from my enemies.
O Senhor, digno de louvor, invoquei, e de meus inimigos fiquei livre.
5 For the troubles of death compassed me, the floods of iniquity amazed me:
Porque me cercaram as ondas de morte: as torrentes de Belial me assombraram.
Cordas do inferno me cingiram; encontraram-me laços de morte. (Sheol h7585)
7 When I am afflicted I will call upon the Lord, and will cry to my God, and he shall hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come into his ears.
Estando em angústia, invoquei ao Senhor, e a meu Deus clamei: do seu templo ouviu ele a minha voz, e o meu clamor chegou aos seus ouvidos.
8 And the earth was troubled and quaked, and the foundations of heaven were confounded and torn asunder, because the Lord was angry with them.
Então se abalou e tremeu a terra, os fundamentos dos céus se moveram e abalaram, porque ele se irou.
9 There went up a smoke in his wrath, and fire out of his mouth devours: coals were kindled at it.
Subiu o fumo de seus narizes, e da sua boca um fogo devorador: carvões se incenderam dele.
10 And he bowed the heavens, and came down, and [there was] darkness under his feet.
E abaixou os céus, e desceu: e uma escuridão havia debaixo de seus pés.
11 And he rode upon the cherubs and did fly, and was seen upon the wings of the wind.
E subiu sobre um cherubim, e voou: e foi visto sobre as asas do vento.
12 And he made darkness his hiding-place; his tabernacle round about him was the darkness of waters, he condensed it with the clouds of the air.
E por tendas pôs as trevas ao redor de si: ajuntamento de águas, nuvens dos céus.
13 At the brightness before him coals of fire were kindled.
Pelo resplendor da sua presença brasas de fogo se accendem.
14 The Lord thundered out of heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice.
Trovejou desde os céus o Senhor: e o altíssimo fez soar a sua voz.
15 And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, and he flashed lightning, and dismayed them.
E disparou flechas, e os dissipou: raios e os perturbou.
16 And the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuke of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of his anger.
E apareceram as profundezas do mar, os fundamentos do mundo se descobriram: pela repreensão do Senhor, pelo sopro do vento dos seus narizes.
17 He sent from above and took me; he drew me out of many waters.
Desde o alto enviou, e me tomou: tirou-me das muitas águas.
18 He delivered me from my strong enemies, from them that hated me, for they were stronger than I.
Livrou-me do meu possante inimigo, e daqueles que me tinham ódio, porque eram mais fortes do que eu.
19 The days of my affliction prevented me; but the Lord was my stay.
Encontraram-me no dia da minha calamidade: porém o Senhor se fez o meu esteio.
20 And he brought me into a wide place, and rescued me, because he delighted in me.
E tirou-me à largura, e arrebatou-me dali; porque tinha prazer em mim.
21 And the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness; even according to the purity of my hands did he recompense me.
Recompensou-me o Senhor conforme à minha justiça: conforme à pureza de minhas mãos me retribuiu.
22 Because, I kept the ways of the Lord, and did not wickedly depart from my God.
Porque guardei os caminhos do Senhor: e não me apartei impiamente do meu Deus.
23 For all his judgements and his ordinances [were] before me: I departed not from them.
Porque todos os seus juízos estavam diante de mim: e de seus estatutos me não desviei.
24 And I shall be blameless before him, and will keep myself from my iniquity.
Porém fui sincero perante ele: e guardei-me da minha iniquidade.
25 And the Lord will recompense me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands in his eye-sight.
E me retribuiu o Senhor conforme à minha justiça, conforme à minha pureza diante dos seus olhos.
26 With the holy you will be holy, and with the perfect man you will be perfect,
Com o benigno te mostras benigno: com o varão sincero te mostras sincero.
27 and with the excellent you will be excellent, and with the froward you will be froward.
Com o puro te mostras puro: mas com o perverso te mostras avesso.
28 And you will save the poor people, and will bring down the eyes of the haughty.
E o povo aflito livras: mas teus olhos são contra os altivos, e tu os abaterás.
29 For you, Lord, [are] my lamp, and the Lord shall shine forth to me in my darkness.
Porque tu, Senhor, és a minha candeia: e o Senhor esclarece as minhas trevas.
30 For by you shall I run [as] a girded man, and by my God shall I leap over a wall.
Porque contigo passo pelo meio dum esquadrão: pelo meu Deus salto um muro.
31 As for the Mighty One, his way [is] blameless: the word of the Lord [is] strong [and] tried in the fire: he is a protector to all that put their trust in him.
O caminho de Deus é perfeito, e a palavra do Senhor refinada; e é o escudo de todos os que nele confiam.
32 Who [is] strong, but the Lord? and who will be a Creator except our God?
Porque, quem é Deus, senão o Senhor? e quem é rochedo, senão o nosso Deus?
33 [It is] the Mighty One who strengthens me with might, and has prepared my way without fault.
Deus é a minha fortaleza e a minha força, e ele perfeitamente desembaraça o meu caminho.
34 He makes my feet like hart's feet, and sets me upon the high places.
Faz ele os meus pés como os das cervas, e me põe sobre as minhas alturas.
35 He teaches my hands to war, and has broken a brazen bow by my arm.
Instrui as minhas mãos para a peleja, de maneira que um arco de cobre se quebra pelos meus braços.
36 And you have given me the shield of my salvation, and your propitious dealing has increased me,
Também me deste o escudo da tua salvação, e pela tua brandura me vieste a engrandecer.
37 so as to make room under me for my going, and my legs did not totter.
Alargaste os meus passos debaixo de mim, e não vacilaram os meus artelhos.
38 I will pursue my enemies, and will utterly destroy them; and I will not turn again till I have consumed them.
Persegui os meus inimigos, e os derrotei, e nunca me tornei até que os consumisse.
39 And I will crush them, and they shall not rise; and they shall fall under my feet.
E os consumi, e os atravessei, de modo que nunca mais se levantaram, mas cairam debaixo dos meus pés.
40 And you shall strengthen me with power for the war; you shall cause them that rise up against me to bow down under me.
Porque me cingiste de força para a peleja, fizeste abater-se debaixo de mim os que se levantaram contra mim.
41 And you have caused mine enemies to flee before me, even them that hated me, and you have slain them.
E deste-me o pescoço de meus inimigos, daqueles que me tinham ódio, e os destruí.
42 They shall cry, and there shall be no helper; to the Lord, but he hearkens not to them.
Olharam, porém não houve libertador: sim, para o Senhor, porém não lhes respondeu.
43 And I ground them as the dust of the earth, I beat them small as the mire of the streets.
Então os moí como o pó da terra; como a lama das ruas os trilhei e dissipei.
44 And you shall deliver me from the striving of the peoples, you shall keep me [to be] the head of the Gentiles: a people which I knew not served me.
Também me livraste das contendas do meu povo; guardaste-me para cabeça das nações; o povo que não conhecia me servirá.
45 The strange children feigned [obedience] to me; they listened to me as soon as they heard.
Os filhos de estranhos se me sujeitaram; ouvindo a minha voz, me obedeceram.
46 The strange children shall be cast away, and shall be overthrown out of their hiding places.
Os filhos de estranhos descairam; e, cingindo-se, sairam dos seus encerramentos.
47 The Lord lives, and blessed [be] my guardian, and my God, my strong keeper, shall be exalted.
Vive o Senhor, e bendito seja o meu rochedo; e exaltado seja Deus, a rocha da minha salvação:
48 The Lord who avenges me [is] strong, chastening the nations under me,
O Deus que me dá inteira vingança, e sujeita os povos debaixo de mim.
49 and bringing me out from my enemies: and you shall set me on high from amongst those that rise up against me: you shall deliver me from the violent man.
E o que me tira dentre os meus inimigos: e tu me exaltas sobre os que contra mim se levantam; do homem violento me livras.
50 Therefore will I confess to you, O Lord, amongst the Gentiles, and sing to your name.
Por isso, ó Senhor, te louvarei entre as gentes, e entoarei louvores ao teu nome.
51 He magnifies the salvation of his king, and works mercy for his anointed, even for David and for his seed for ever.
Ele é a torre das salvações do seu rei, e usa de benignidade com o seu ungido, com David, e com a sua semente para sempre.
