Kings IV 9
1 And Elisaie the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up your loins, and take this cruse of oil in your hand, and go to Remmoth Galaad.
இறைவாக்கினனான எலிசா இறைவாக்கினர் கூட்டத்தில் ஒருவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “உனது மேலங்கியை இடைப்பட்டிக்குள் சொருகிக்கொண்டு, இந்த எண்ணெய் குப்பியையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு ராமோத் கீலேயாத்துக்குப் போ.
2 And you shall enter there, and shall see there Ju the son of Josaphat son of Namessi, and shall go in and make him rise up from amongst his brethren, and shall bring him into a secret chamber.
நீ அங்கே போய்ச்சேர்ந்ததும், நிம்சியின் மகனான யோசபாத்தின் மகன் யெகூவை தேடு. அவனைக் கண்டதும் அவனுடைய தோழர்களிடமிருந்து அவனை எழுந்து வரும்படி கூறி, வீட்டின் உள்ளறைக்குள் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோ.
3 And you shall take the cruse of oil, and pour [it] on his head, and say you, Thus says the Lord, I have anointed you king over Israel: and you shall open the door, and flee, and not wait.
அதன்பின் எண்ணெய் இருக்கும் குடுவையை எடுத்து அதை அவன் தலையின்மேல் ஊற்றி, ‘யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: நான் உன்னை இஸ்ரயேலின்மேல் அரசனாக அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுகிறேன்’ என்று அறிவித்து, பின்பு கதவைத் திறந்து தப்பியோடு, தாமதியாதே” என்று கூறினான்.
4 And the young man the prophet went to Remmoth Galaad.
அப்படியே அந்த வாலிபனான இறைவாக்கினன் ராமோத் கீலேயாத்துக்குப் போனான்.
5 And he went in, and, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have a message to you, O captain. And Ju said, To which of all us? And he said, To you, O captain.
அவன் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபோது இராணுவ உயர் அதிகாரிகள் ஒருமித்து இருந்ததைக் கண்டு, “தளபதியே உமக்கு ஒரு செய்தி உண்டு” என்றான். அப்போது யெகூ, “எங்களில் யாருக்கு?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன், “தளபதியே உமக்குத்தான்” என்றான்.
6 And he arose, and went into the house: and he poured the oil upon his head, and said to him, Thus says the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed you to be king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.
யெகூ எழுந்து வீட்டுக்குள் போனதும் இறைவாக்கினன், யெகூவுடைய தலையில் எண்ணெயை ஊற்றிச் சொன்னதாவது, “இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: ‘நான் உன்னை யெகோவாவின் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலருக்கு அரசனாக அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுகிறேன்.
7 And you shall utterly destroy the house of Achaab your master from before me, and shall avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezabel,
நீ உன் தலைவனான ஆகாப் அரசனின் முழுக் குடும்பத்தையும் அழித்துவிடவேண்டும். யேசபேலினால் சிந்தப்பட்ட யெகோவாவின் எல்லா ஊழியக்காரரின் இரத்தத்துக்காகவும், என்னுடைய அடியவரான எல்லா இறைவாக்கினரின் இரத்தத்துக்காகவும் பழிவாங்குவேன்.
8 and at the hand of the whole house of Achaab: and you shall utterly cut off from the house of Achaab every male, and him that is shut up and left in Israel.
அடிமையாயிருந்தாலென்ன, சுதந்திரவாளியாயிருந்தாலென்ன இஸ்ரயேலில் ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தில் ஒருவரும் மீந்திராதபடி எல்லா ஆண்களையும் அழித்துப்போடுவேன்.
9 And I will make the house of Achaab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and as the house of Baasa the son of Achia.
ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை நேபாத்தின் மகன் யெரொபெயாமின் குடும்பத்தைப்போலவும், அகியாவின் மகனான பாஷாவின் குடும்பத்தைப்போலவும் ஆக்குவேன்.
10 And the dogs shall eat Jezabel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
யேசபேலுக்கோ என்றால், யெஸ்ரயேலின் வெளிநிலத்தில் நாய்கள் அவளைத் தின்னும். ஒருவரும் அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணமாட்டார்கள்.’” இதைச் சொன்னபின்பு அவன் கதவைத் திறந்துகொண்டு ஓடித் தப்பினான்.
11 And Ju went forth to the servants of his lord, and they said to him, [Is] all well? Why came this mad fellow in to you? And he said to them, You know the man, and his communication.
யெகூ வெளியே வந்து தன் அதிகாரிகளிடம் போனபோது, அவர்களில் ஒருவன் அவனைப் பார்த்து, “என்ன நல்ல செய்தியா? இந்தப் பைத்தியக்காரன் உன்னிடம் ஏன் வந்தான்?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு யெகூ, “அந்த மனுஷன் யார் என்றும், எப்படிப்பட்ட விஷயங்களைப் பேசுபவன் என்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்தானே!” என்றான்.
12 And they said, [It is] wrong: tell us now. And Ju said to them, Thus and thus spoke he to me, saying, —and he said, Thus says the Lord, I have anointed you to be king over Israel.
அதற்கு அவர்கள், “அப்படியல்ல. அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்” என்றார்கள். அதற்கு யெகூ, “அவன் எனக்குச் சொன்னது இதுவே, ‘யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: நான் எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலருக்கும் உன்னை அரசனாக அபிஷேகம் பண்ணினேன்’ என்பதாகும்” என்றான்.
13 And when they heard it, they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with the trumpet, and said, Ju is king.
அவர்கள் விரைவாக தங்கள் மேலாடைகளைக் கழற்றி அவனுக்குக் கீழே அந்தப் படிகளில் விரித்தார்கள். அதன்பின் எக்காளம் ஊதி, “யெகூவே அரசன்” என்று ஆரவாரித்தார்கள்.
14 So Ju the son of Josaphat the son of Namessi conspired against Joram, and Joram was defending Remmoth Galaad, he and all Israel, because of Azael king of Syria.
நிம்சியின் மகனான யோசபாத்தின் மகன் யெகூ யோராமுக்கு எதிராகச் சதித்திட்டம் போட்டான். அந்நாட்களில் யோராம் எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலரோடும் சேர்ந்து ராமோத் கீலேயாத்தை சீரிய அரசனான ஆசகேலின்வசம் போய்விடாதபடி பாதுகாத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.
15 And king Joram had returned to be healed in Jezrael of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, in his war with Azael king of Syria. And Ju said, If your heart is with me, let there not go forth out of the city one fugitive to go and report to Jezrael.
ஆனால் யோராம் சீரிய அரசனான ஆசகேலுடன் செய்த யுத்தத்தில் சீரியரால் காயப்படுத்தப்பட்டு, அக்காயங்களை ஆற்றுவதற்கு யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குப் போயிருந்தான். அப்பொழுது யெகூ, “நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஆதரவாயிருந்தால் நகரத்தைவிட்டு யாரும் வெளியேறி யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குப்போய் இச்செய்தியை கூறிவிடாதபடி பாருங்கள்” என்று கூறினான்.
16 And Ju rode and advanced, and came down to Jezrael; for Joram king of Israel was getting healed in Jezrael of the arrow-wounds wherewith the Syrians [had] wounded him in Rammath in the war with Azael king of Syria; for he [was] strong and a mighty man: and Ochozias king of Juda was come down to see Joram.
அப்பொழுது யெகூ இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏறி, யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு நேராகப் போனான். யோராம் அங்கே வியாதியாகக் கிடந்தான்; யோராமைப் பார்க்க, யூதாவின் அரசனான அகசியாவும் அங்கே வந்திருந்தான்.
17 And there went up a watchman upon the tower of Jezrael, and saw the dust [made by] Ju as he approached; and he said, I see dust. And Joram said, Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Peace.
யெஸ்ரயேலின் கோபுரத்திலிருந்து நகரத்தைக் காவல் செய்தவன் யெகூவின் படைகள் முன்னேறி வருவதைக் கண்டு, “சில படைகள் வருவதாகத் தெரிகிறது” என்று பலமாகச் சத்தமிட்டான். அப்பொழுது யோராம், “ஒரு குதிரைவீரனை அழைத்து, வருபவர்களைப் போய்ச் சந்தித்து, ‘சமாதானமாக வருகிறீர்களா’ என்று கேட்டுவரும்படி அனுப்புங்கள்” என்றான்.
18 And there went a horseman to meet them, and said, Thus says the king, Peace. And Ju said, What have you to do with peace? turn behind me. And the watchman reported, saying, The messenger came up to them, and has not returned.
எனவே குதிரைவீரன் போய் யெகூவிடம், “சமாதானமாகவா வருகிறீர்கள் என்று அரசன் கேட்கிறான்” என்று கூறினான். அதற்கு யெகூ பதிலாக, “சமாதானத்தைப் பற்றி உனக்கென்ன? எனக்குப் பின்னால் தொடர்ந்து வா” என்றான். அப்பொழுது காவல் காப்பவன் அரசனிடம், “தூதுவன் அவர்களிடம்போய்ச் சேர்ந்துவிட்டான். ஆனால் அவன் திரும்பி வரவில்லை” என்று கூறினான்.
19 And he sent another horseman, and he came to him, and said, Thus says the king, Peace. And Ju said, What have you to do with peace? turn behind me.
அப்பொழுது அரசன் இரண்டாம் குதிரைவீரனையும் அனுப்பினான். அவன் அவர்களிடம் போய், “சமாதானமாகவா வருகிறீர்கள் என்று அரசன் கேட்கிறான்” என்று சொன்னான். யெகூ அவனையும் பார்த்து, “சமாதானத்தைப் பற்றி உனக்கென்ன? எனக்குப் பின்னால் தொடர்ந்து வா” என்றான்.
20 And the watchman reported, saying, He came up to them, and has not returned: and the driver drives Ju the son of Namessi, for it is with furious [haste].
காவலாளி அரசனிடம், “அவனும் அவர்களிடம்போய்ச் சேர்ந்துவிட்டான். ஆனால் திரும்பிவருவதாக இல்லை. தேரைச் செலுத்தும் விதத்தைப் பார்த்தால் நிம்சியின் மகன் யெகூவைப்போல் தெரிகிறது. அவன் ஒரு பைத்தியக்காரனைப் போலவே தேரை ஓட்டுகிறான்” என்றான்.
21 And Joram said, Make ready. And one made ready the chariot: and Joram the king of Israel went forth, and Ochozias king of Juda, each in his chariot, and they went to meet Ju, and found him in the portion of Nabuthai the Jezraelite.
உடனே யோராம், “என்னுடைய தேரை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்” என்றான். அவர்கள் அவனுடைய தேரை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தியதும் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான யோராமும் யூதாவின் அரசனான அகசியாவும் தங்கள் சொந்தத் தேர்களில் ஏறிக்கொண்டு யெகூவைச் சந்திக்கப் புறப்பட்டார்கள். யெஸ்ரயேலனாகிய நாபோத்துக்குச் சொந்தமான நிலத்தில் அவர்கள் யெகூவைச் சந்தித்தார்கள்.
22 And it came to pass when Joram saw Ju, that he said, [Is it] peace, Ju? And Ju said, How [can it be] peace? as yet [there are] the whoredoms of your mother Jezabel, and her abundant witchcrafts.
யோராம் யெகூவை கண்டவுடன், “யெகூவே, சமாதானமாகவா வந்திருக்கிறாய்?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன், “உன் தாயாகிய யேசபேலின் விக்கிரக வணக்கங்களும், பில்லிசூனியங்களும் அளவுக்கு மிஞ்சியிருக்கும்வரை சமாதானம் எப்படியிருக்கும்” என்றான்.
23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ochozias, Treachery, Ochozias.
அதைக் கேட்டதும் யோராம், “அகசியாவே, இது துரோகம்” என்று சத்தமிட்டபடி தன் தேரைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டு தப்பியோட பார்த்தான்.
24 And Ju bent his bow with his full strength, and struck Joram between his arms, and his arrow went out at his heart, and he bowed upon his knees.
ஆனால் யெகூ தன் வில்லை வளைத்து யோராமின் தோள்களுக்கிடையில் எய்தான். அம்பு அவனுடைய இருதயத்தை ஊடுருவிச் சென்றதும் அவன் தன் தேரிலேயே விழுந்தான்.
25 And [Ju] said to Badecar his chief officer, Cast him into the portion of ground of Nabuthai the Jezraelite, for I and you remember, riding [as we were] on chariots after Achaab his father, that the Lord took up this burden against him, [saying],
அப்பொழுது யெகூ தனது அதிகாரியாகிய பித்காரிடம், “அவனை எடுத்து யெஸ்ரயேலனாகிய நாபோத்துக்குச் சொந்தமான தோட்டத்தில் எறிந்துவிடு. முன்பு ஒரு நாள் நானும் நீயும் இவனுடைய தகப்பனான ஆகாபுக்குப் பின்னால் தேரில் போகும்பொழுது, யெகோவா இவனைக் குறித்துச் சொன்ன இறைவாக்கை ஞாபகப்படுத்திக்கொள்.
26 Surely, I have seen yesterday the blood of Nabuthai, and the blood of his sons, says the Lord; and I will recompense him in this portion, says the Lord. Now then, I pray you, take him up and cast him into the portion, according to the word of the Lord.
அன்று யெகோவா, ‘நேற்று நான் நாபோத்தின் இரத்தத்தையும், அவன் மகன்களின் இரத்தத்தையும் கண்டேன் என்று அறிவிக்கிறார். இதே நிலத்தில் உன்னையும் நான் பழிவாங்குவேன் என்று யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்’ என்று ஆகாபுக்குக் கூறியிருந்தார். ஆகவே இப்போது இவனைத் தூக்கி யெகோவாவின் வாக்குப்படி அந்தத் தோட்டத்தில் எறிந்துவிடு” என்று சொன்னான்.
27 And Ochozias king of Juda saw [it], and fled by the way of Baethgan. And Ju pursued after him, and said, [Slay] him also. And one struck him in the chariot at the going up of Gai, which is Jeblaam: and he fled to Mageddo, and died there.
யூதாவின் அரசனான அகசியா நடந்தவற்றைக் கண்டபோது, பெத்ஹாகானுக்குப் போகும் பாதையில் தப்பி ஓடினான். யெகூ அவனையும் கொல்லுங்கள் என்று பலமாகக் கத்திக்கொண்டு அவனைத் துரத்திப் போனான். இப்லேயாமுக்கு அருகே உள்ள கூருக்கு ஏறிப்போகும் சரிவான பாதையில் அகசியாவை அவனுடைய தேரிலேயே வைத்து யெகூவின் படையினர் காயப்படுத்தினார்கள். ஆயினும் அவன் மெகிதோவுக்குத் தப்பி ஓடிப்போய் அங்கே இறந்தான்.
28 And his servants put him on a chariot, and brought him to Jerusalem, and they buried him in his sepulchre in the city of David.
அவனுடைய வேலையாட்கள் அவனின் உடலை தேரில் வைத்து எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்த அவனுடைய முற்பிதாக்களின் கல்லறையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
29 And in the eleventh year of Joram king of Israel, Ochozias began to reign over Juda.
ஆகாபின் மகன் யோராமின் ஆட்சியின் பதினோராம் வருடத்தில் அகசியா யூதாவின் அரசனாகியிருந்தான்.
30 And Ju came to Jezrael; and Jezabel heard [of it], and coloured her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked through the window.
யெகூ யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குப் போனான். யேசபேல் அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவள் தன் கண்களுக்கு மை பூசி தன் தலையை அலங்கரித்துக்கொண்டு, ஜன்னலருகே பார்த்துக்கொண்டு நின்றாள்.
31 And Ju entered into the city; and she said, Had Zambri, the murderer of his master, peace?
யெகூ வாசலுக்கு வந்தபோது யேசபேல் அவனைப் பார்த்து, “கொலைகாரனே! தன் எஜமானைக் கொலைசெய்த சிம்ரியைப் போன்றவனே! சமாதானத்துடன் வருகிறாயா” என்று கேட்டாள்.
32 And he lifted up his face towards the window, and saw her, and said, Who are you? Come down with me. And two eunuchs looked down towards him.
யெகூ மேலே நிமிர்ந்து ஜன்னலைப் பார்த்து, “எனக்குச் சார்பாக இருப்பவர்கள் யார்?” என்றான். இரண்டு மூன்று அதிகாரிகள் வெளியே அவனை எட்டிப் பார்த்தார்கள்.
33 And he said, Throw her [down]. And they threw her [down]; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and they trampled on her.
அப்பொழுது யெகூ அவர்களிடம், “அவளைத் தூக்கி கீழே எறிந்துவிடுங்கள்” என்றான். அவர்கள் அவளைக் கீழே எறிந்தார்கள். அவளுடைய இரத்தம் சுவரிலும், குதிரைகளிலும் தெறித்தது. யெகூ அவளுக்கு மேலாக தேரைச் செலுத்தினான்.
34 And [Ju] went in and ate and drank, and said, Look now, after this cursed woman, and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.
அவன் உள்ளே போய் சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்து, “இந்தச் சபிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்ணை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோய் அடக்கம்பண்ணுங்கள். அவள் ஒரு அரசனின் மகள்” என்று கூறினான்.
35 And they went to bury her; but they found nothing of her but the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.
ஆனால் அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணுவதற்குப் போனபோது அவளுடைய மண்டையோட்டையும், கால்களையும், கைகளையும் தவிர வேறெதையும் காணவில்லை.
36 And they returned and told him. And he said, [It is] the word of the Lord, which he spoke by the hand of Eliu the Thesbite, saying, In the portion of Jezrael shall the dogs eat the flesh of Jezabel.
அவர்கள் திரும்பிப்போய் அதை யெகூவுக்கு அறிவித்தபோது அவன் பதிலாக, “திஸ்பிய ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த யெகோவாவின் பணியாளன் எலியாவின் மூலம் யெகோவா கூறிய வார்த்தை இதுவே: யெஸ்ரயேலின் வெளிநிலத்தில் யேசபேலின் சதையை நாய்கள் தின்னும்.
37 And the carcass of Jezabel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezrael, so that they shall not say, [This is] Jezabel.
யேசபேலின் உடல் யெஸ்ரயேல் நிலத்தின் வயல்வெளியின் எருவைப்போல கிடக்கும். அதைப் பார்க்கும் யாரும், ‘அது யேசபேல்’ என்று கூற முடியாமலிருக்கும் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தாரே” என்றான்.
