< Chronicles II 1 >
1 And Solomon the son of David was established over his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and increased him exceedingly.
Solomoni ọmọ Dafidi fìdí ara rẹ̀ múlẹ̀ ṣinṣin lórí ìjọba rẹ̀. Nítorí tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀ wà pẹ̀lú u rẹ̀, ó sì jẹ́ kí ó ga lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀.
2 And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands, and to the captains of hundreds, and to the judges, and to all the rulers over Israel, even the heads of the families;
Nígbà náà, Solomoni bá gbogbo Israẹli sọ̀rọ̀ sí àwọn alákòóso ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún àti àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún, sí àwọn adájọ́ àti sí gbogbo àwọn olórí Israẹli, àwọn olórí ìdílé
3 and Solomon and all the congregation went to the high place that was in Gabaon, where was God's tabernacle of witness, which Moses the servant of the Lord made in the wilderness.
pẹ̀lú Solomoni, àti gbogbo àpéjọ lọ sí ibi gíga ní Gibeoni, nítorí àgọ́ Ọlọ́run fún pípàdé wà níbẹ̀, tí Mose ìránṣẹ́ Olúwa ti pa ní aginjù.
4 But David had brought up the ark of God out of the city of Cariathiarim; for David had prepared a place for it, for he had pitched a tabernacle for it in Jerusalem.
Nísinsin yìí, Dafidi ti gbé àpótí ẹ̀rí Ọlọ́run wá láti Kiriati-Jearimu sí ibi tí ó ti pèsè fún un, nítorí ó ti kọ́ àgọ́ fún un ni Jerusalẹmu.
5 And the brazen altar which Beseleel the son of Urias, the son of Or, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation enquired at it.
Ṣùgbọ́n pẹpẹ idẹ tí Besaleli ọmọ Uri, ọmọ Huri, ti ṣe wà ní Gibeoni níwájú àgọ́ Olúwa, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Solomoni àti gbogbo àpéjọ béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ níbẹ̀.
6 And Solomon brought [victims] there to the brazen altar that was before the Lord in the tabernacle, and offered upon it a thousand whole burnt offerings.
Solomoni gòkè lọ sí ibi pẹpẹ idẹ níwájú Olúwa ní ibi àgọ́ ìpàdé, ó sì rú ẹgbẹ̀rún ẹbọ sísun lórí rẹ̀.
7 In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give you.
Ní òru ọjọ́ náà, Ọlọ́run farahàn Solomoni, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Béèrè fún ohunkóhun tí ìwọ bá fẹ́ kí n fún ọ.”
8 And Solomon said to God, You have dealt very mercifully with my father David, and have made me king in his stead.
Solomoni dá Ọlọ́run lóhùn pé, “Ìwọ ti fi àánú ńlá han Dafidi baba mi, ìwọ sì ti fi mí jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀.
9 And now, O Lord God, let, I pray you, your name be established upon David my father; for you have made me king over a people numerous as the dust of the earth.
Nísinsin yìí Olúwa Ọlọ́run, jẹ́ kí ìlérí rẹ sí baba à mi Dafidi wá sí ìmúṣẹ, nítorí ìwọ ti fi mí jẹ ọba lórí àwọn ènìyàn tí ó pọ̀ bí erùpẹ̀ ilẹ̀.
10 Now give me wisdom and understanding, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who shall judge this your great people?
Fún mi ní ọgbọ́n àti ìmọ̀, kí èmi kí ó lè máa wọ ilé kí ń sì máa jáde níwájú ènìyàn wọ̀nyí, nítorí ta ni ó le è ṣàkóso àwọn ènìyàn rẹ tí ó pọ̀ yanturu wọ̀nyí?”
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked great wealth, nor glory, nor the life of your enemies, and you have not asked long life; but have asked for yourself wisdom and understanding, that you might judge my people, over whom I have made you king:
Ọlọ́run wí fún Solomoni pé, “Níwọ́n ìgbà tí ó jẹ́ pé ìfẹ́ ọkàn rẹ nìyí, tí ìwọ kò sì béèrè, fún ọrọ̀, ọlá tàbí ọ̀wọ̀, tàbí fún ikú àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ, àti nígbà tí ìwọ kò ti béèrè fún ẹ̀mí gígùn, ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwọ béèrè fún ọgbọ́n àti ìmọ̀ láti ṣàkóso àwọn ènìyàn mi tí èmi fi ọ́ jẹ ọba lé lórí.
12 I give you this wisdom and understanding; and I will give you wealth, and riches, and glory, so that there shall not have been [any] like you amongst the kings before you, neither shall there be such after you.
Nítorí náà, ọgbọ́n àti ìmọ̀ ni a ó fi fún ọ, Èmi yóò sì fún ọ ní ọrọ̀, ọlá àti ọ̀wọ̀, irú èyí tí ọba ti ó wà ṣáájú rẹ kò ní, tí àwọn tí ń bọ̀ lẹ́yìn rẹ kò sì ní ní irú rẹ̀.”
13 And Solomon came from the high place that was in Gabaon to Jerusalem, [from] before the tabernacle of witness, and reigned over Israel.
Nígbà náà ni Solomoni sì ti ibi gíga Gibeoni lọ sí Jerusalẹmu láti iwájú àgọ́ ìpàdé. Ó sì jẹ ọba lórí Israẹli.
14 And Solomon collected chariots and horsemen: and he had fourteen hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen: and he set them in the cities of chariots, and the people [were] with the king in Jerusalem.
Solomoni kó kẹ̀kẹ́ àti ẹṣin jọ, ó sì ní ẹgbàáje kẹ̀kẹ́ àti ẹgbàá mẹ́fà ẹlẹ́ṣin, tí ó kó pamọ́ sí ìlú kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun àti pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ ni Jerusalẹmu.
15 And the king made silver and gold in Jerusalem [to be] as stones, and cedars in Judea as sycamores in the plain for multitude.
Ọba náà ṣe fàdákà àti wúrà gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti wọ́pọ̀ ní Jerusalẹmu bí òkúta, àti kedari ó pọ̀ bí igi sikamore ní àwọn ẹsẹ̀ òkè.
16 And Solomon imported horses from Egypt, and the charge of the king's merchants for going [was as follows], and they traded,
Àwọn ẹṣin Solomoni ní a gbà láti ìlú òkèrè Ejibiti àti láti kún ọ̀gbọ̀ oníṣòwò ti ọba ni gba okun náà ní iye kan.
17 and went and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred [pieces] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty [pieces] of silver: and so they brought for all the kings of the Chettites, and for the kings of Syria by their means.
Wọ́n ra kẹ̀kẹ́ kan láti Ejibiti. Fún ẹgbẹ̀ta ṣékélì fàdákà àti ẹṣin kan fún ọgọ́rin méjìdínláàádọ́ta. Wọ́n ko wọn lọ sọ́dọ̀ àwọn ọba mìíràn ti Hiti àti ti àwọn ará Aramu.
