Chronicles II 27
1 Joatham [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Jerusa, daughter of Sadoc.
Naʻe uofulu taʻu mo e taʻu ʻe nima ʻae motuʻa ʻo Sotami ʻi heʻene kamata pule, pea naʻe pule ia ʻi he taʻu ʻe hongofulu ma ono ʻi Selūsalema. Pea ko e hingoa ʻo ʻene faʻē foki ko Selusa, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Satoki.
2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Ozias did: but he went not into the temple of the Lord. And still the people corrupted themselves.
Pea naʻe fai lelei ia ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova, ʻo fakatatau ki he meʻa kotoa pē naʻe fai ʻe heʻene tamai ko ʻUsaia: ka naʻe ʻikai hū ia ki he faletapu ʻo Sihova. Pea naʻe kei fai kovi ʻe he kakai.
3 He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and he built much in the wall of Opel.
Naʻe ngaohi ʻe ia ʻae matapā māʻolunga ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, pea naʻa ne langa hake ʻaupito ki he ʻā maka ʻo Ofili.
4 In the mountain of Juda, and in the woods, [he built] both dwelling-places and towers.
Pea naʻa ne langa foki ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo Siuta, pea ne langa ʻi he ngaahi vao ʻakau ʻae ngaahi fale mālohi mo e fale māʻolunga.
5 He fought against the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against him: and the children of Ammon gave him even annually a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. These the king of the children of Ammon brought to him annually in the first and second and third years.
Pea naʻe tau ia mo e tuʻi ʻoe kakai ʻAmoni, pea naʻe mālohi ia kiate kinautolu. Pea naʻe ʻatu kiate ia ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻAmoni ʻi he taʻu pe ko ia ʻae taleniti siliva ʻe teau, mo e puha fua ʻoe uite ʻe taha mano, mo e taha mano ʻoe paʻale. naʻe ʻatu ʻae meʻa lahi pehē ni ʻi hono ua ʻoe taʻu, mo hono tolu.
6 Joatham grew strong, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.
Ko ia naʻe hoko ʻo mālohi lahi ʻa Sotami, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻene vakai ki hono ngaahi hala ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko hono ʻOtua.
7 And the rest of the acts of Joatham, and his war, and his deeds, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.
Pea ko hono toe ʻoe ngāue ʻa Sotami, mo ʻene ngaahi tau kotoa pē, mo ʻene ngaahi anga, vakai, kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli mo Siuta.
Naʻe uofulu taʻu ia mo e taʻu ʻe nima ʻi heʻene kamata pule, pea naʻe pule ʻe ia ʻi he taʻu ʻe hongofulu ma ono ʻi Selūsalema.
9 And Joatham slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Achaz his son reigned in his stead.
Pea naʻe mohe ʻa Sotami mo ʻene ngaahi tamai, pea naʻa nau tanu ia ʻi he kolo ʻa Tevita: pea naʻe fetongi ia ʻi he pule ʻe hono foha ko ʻAhasi.
