Chronicles I 8
1 Now Benjamin begot Bale his firstborn, and Asbel his second [son], Aara the third, Noa the fourth,
Benjamin engendra Bela, son premier-né, Ashbel le second, Ahara le troisième,
2 and Rapha the fifth.

3 And the sons of Bale were, Adir, and Gera, and Abiud,

29 And the father of Gabaon lived in Gabaon; and his wife's name was Moacha.
Le père de Gabaon, dont la femme s'appelait Maaca, habitait à Gabaon
30 And her firstborn son was Abdon, and Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Nadab, and Ner,
avec son fils aîné Abdon, Tsur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,
31 and Gedur and his brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.
Gedor, Ahio, Zecher,
32 And Makeloth begot Samaa: for these lived in Jerusalem in the presence of their brethren with their brethren.
et Mikloth, qui devint le père de Shimea. Ils habitaient aussi avec leurs familles à Jérusalem, près de leurs parents.
33 And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.
Ner engendra Kish. Kis est devenu le père de Saül. Saül engendra Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab et Eschbaal.
34 And the son of Jonathan [was] Meribaal; and Meribaal begot Micha.
Le fils de Jonathan était Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal engendra Michée.
35 And the sons of Micha; Phithon, and Melach, and Tharach, and Achaz.
Fils de Michée: Pithon, Mélec, Taréa et Achaz.
36 And Achaz begot Jada, and Jada begot Salaemath, and Asmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Maesa;
Achaz engendra Jéhoadda. Jehoadda engendra Alemeth, Azmaveth et Zimri. Zimri engendra Moza.
37 and Maesa begot Baana: Rhaphaea [was] his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.
Moza engendra Binea. Raphah était son fils, Éléasa son fils, et Azel son fils.
38 And Esel [had] six sons, and these [were] their name; Ezricam his firstborn, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: all these [were] the sons of Esel.
Azel eut six fils, dont les noms sont les suivants: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ismaël, Sheariah, Abdias et Hanan. Tous ceux-là étaient les fils d'Azel.
39 And the sons of Asel his brother; Aelam his firstborn, and Jas the second, and Eliphalet the third.
Fils d'Eschek, son frère: Ulam, son premier-né, Jeusch le second, et Eliphelet le troisième.
40 And the sons of Aelam were mighty men, bending the bow, and multiplying sons and grandsons, a hundred [and] fifty. All these [were] of the sons of Benjamin.
Les fils d'Ulam étaient de vaillants hommes, des archers, et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, au nombre de cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là étaient des fils de Benjamin.
