Chronicles I 23
1 And David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel in his stead.

2 And he assembled all the chief men of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites.

3 And the Levites numbered [themselves] from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls amounted to thirty and eight thousand men.
Anawerenga Alevi kuyambira a zaka makumi atatu ndi kupitirirapo, ndipo chiwerengero cha amuna onse chinali 38,000.
4 Of the overseers over the works of the house of the Lord [there were] twenty-four thousand, and [there were] six thousand scribes and judges;
Davide anati, “Mwa amenewa, amuna 24,000 aziyangʼanira ntchito za mʼNyumba ya Mulungu ndipo 6,000 akhale akuluakulu ndi oweruza.
5 and four thousand doorkeepers, and four thousand to praise the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
Amuna 4,000 akhale alonda a pa zipata ndipo 4,000 azitamanda Yehova ndi zipangizo zoyimbira zimene ndazipereka ndi cholinga chimenecho.”
6 And David divided them [into] daily courses, for the sons of Levi, for Gedson, Caath, and Merari.
Davide anagawa Aleviwo mʼmagulumagulu motsatira ana a Levi awa: Geresoni, Kohati ndi Merari.
7 And for [the family of] Gedson, Edan, and Semei.
Ana a Geresoni: Ladani ndi Simei.
8 The sons of Edan [were] Jeiel, the chief, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
Ana a Ladani: Mtsogoleri Yehieli, Zetamu ndi Yoweli. Onse analipo atatu.
9 The sons of Semei; Salomith, Jeiel, and Dan, three: these [were] the chiefs of the families of Edan.
Ana a Simei: Selomoti, Haziyeli ndi Harani. Onse analipo atatu. Awa anali atsogoleri a mabanja a Ladani.
10 And to the sons of Semei, Jeth, and Ziza, and Joas, and Beria: these [were] the four sons of Semei.
Ndipo ana a Simei anali: Yahati, Zina, Yeusi ndi Beriya. Awa anali ana a Semei. Onse analipo anayi.
11 And Jeth was the chief, and Ziza the second: and Joas and Beria did not multiply sons, and they became [only] one reckoning according to the house of their father.
Mtsogoleri anali Yahati, ndipo Ziza anali wachiwiri, koma Yeusi ndi Beriya analibe ana aamuna ambiri. Kotero iwo anawerengedwa ngati banja limodzi ndipo anapatsidwa ntchito imodzinso yofanana.
12 The sons of Caath; Ambram, Isaar, Chebron, Oziel, four.
Ana a Kohati: Amramu, Izihari, Hebroni ndi Uzieli. Onse analipo anayi.
13 The sons of Ambram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was appointed for the consecration of the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister and bless in his name for ever.
Ana a Amramu: Aaroni ndi Mose. Aaroni ndi zidzukulu zake anapatulidwa kwamuyaya kuti azipereka zinthu zopatulika kwambiri monga nsembe pamaso pa Yehova, komanso kuti azitumikira pamaso pake ndi kumadalitsa anthu mʼdzina lake kwamuyaya.
14 And [as for] Moses the man of God, his sons were reckoned to the tribe of Levi.
Ana a Mose munthu wa Mulungu anawerengedwa ngati gawo la fuko la Levi.
15 The sons of Moses; Gersam, and Eliezer.
Ana a Mose: Geresomu ndi Eliezara.
16 The sons of Gersam; Subael the chief.
Zidzukulu za Geresomu: Mtsogoleri anali Subaeli.
17 And the sons of Eliezer were, Rabia the chief: and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rabia were very greatly multiplied.
Zidzukulu za Eliezara: Mtsogoleri anali Rehabiya. Eliezara analibe ana ena aamuna, koma ana a Rehabiya anali ochuluka kwambiri.
18 The sons of Isaar; Salomoth the chief.
Ana a Izihari: Mtsogoleri anali Selomiti.
19 The sons of Chebron; Jeria the chief, Amaria the second, Jeziel the third, Jekemias the fourth.
Ana a Hebroni: Mtsogoleri anali Yeriya, wachiwiri anali Amariya, Yahazieli anali wachitatu ndipo Yekameamu anali wachinayi.
20 The sons of Oziel; Micha the chief, and Isia the second.
Ana a Uzieli: Mtsogoleri anali Mika ndipo wachiwiri anali Isiya.
21 The sons of Merari; Mooli, and Musi: the sons of Mooli; Eleazar, and Kis.
Ana a Merari: Mahili ndi Musi. Ana a Mahili: Eliezara ndi Kisi.
22 And Eleazar died, and he had no sons, but daughters: and the sons of Kis, their brethren, took them.
Eliezara anamwalira wopanda ana aamuna. Iye anali ndi ana aakazi okhaokha. Abale awo, ana a Kisi, ndiwo amene anawakwatira.
23 The sons of Musi; Mooli, and Eder, and Jarimoth, three.
Ana a Musi: Mahili, Ederi ndi Yeremoti. Onse analipo atatu.
24 These [are] the sons of Levi according to the houses of their fathers; chiefs of their families according to their numbering, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, doing the works of service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
Izi zinali zidzukulu za Levi mwa mabanja awo, atsogoleri a mabanja monga momwe analembedwera mayina awo ndi monga momwenso anawerengedwera, banja lililonse pa lokha. Awa ndi anthu ogwira ntchito oyambira zaka makumi awiri zobadwa kapena kupitirirapo, amene amatumikira mʼNyumba ya Yehova.
25 For David said, The Lord God of Israel has given rest to his people, and has taken up his abode in Jerusalem for ever.
Popeza Davide anati, “Pakuti Yehova Mulungu wa Israeli, wapereka mpumulo kwa anthu ake ndipo wabwera kudzakhala mu Yerusalemu kwamuyaya,
26 And the Levites bore not the tabernacle, and all the vessels of it for its service.
sikofunikiranso kuti Alevi azinyamula tenti kapena zipangizo za chipembedzo.”
27 For by the last words of David was the number of the Levites [taken] from twenty years old and upward.
Potsata malangizo otsiriza a Davide, Alevi anawerengedwa kuyambira amuna a zaka makumi awiri zakubadwa kapena kupitirirapo.
28 For he appointed them to wait on Aaron, to minister in the house of the Lord, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purification of all the holy things, and over the works of the service of the house of God;
Ntchito ya Alevi inali kuthandiza zidzukulu za Aaroni pa ntchito yotumikira mʼNyumba ya Yehova monga kuyangʼanira mabwalo, zipinda zamʼmbali, kuyeretsa zinthu zonse zachipembedzo, ndiponso kuchita ntchito zina za mʼnyumba ya Mulungu.
29 and for the show-bread, and for the fine flour of the meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for the fried cake, and for the dough, and for every measure;
Iwo amayangʼanira buledi amene amayikidwa pa tebulo, ufa wa nsembe yachakudya, timitanda ta buledi wopanda yisiti: kuphika ndi kusakaniza, ndiponso miyeso yonse ndi kukula kwake.
30 and to stand in the morning to praise and give thanks to the Lord, and so in the evening;
Iwo amayimiriranso mmawa uliwonse kuthokoza ndi kutamanda Yehova. Amachitanso chomwecho madzulo,
31 and [to be] over all the whole burnt offerings that were offered up to the Lord on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, by number, according to the order [given] to them, continually before the Lord.
ndiponso popereka nsembe zopsereza kwa Yehova pa Sabata ndi pa chikondwerero cha Mwezi Watsopano, ndi pa nthawi yosankhidwa ya Chikondwerero. Iwo amatumikira pamaso pa Yehova nthawi zonse mwa chiwerengero chawo ndi momwe analangizidwira.
32 And they are to keep the charge of the tabernacle of witness, and the charge of the holy place, and the charges of the sons of Aaron their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
Ndipo kotero Alevi anachita ntchito yawo ya ku tenti ya msonkhano ya ku Malo Opatulika ndiponso molamulidwa ndi abale awo, zidzukulu za Aaroni, pa ntchito ya mʼNyumba ya Yehova.
