< Psalms 94 >
1 A Psalm of David for the fourth [day] of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared himself.
LEUM GOD, kom sie God su kai ma koluk; Fahkak mulat lom!
2 Be thou exalted, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Kom mwet nununku lun mwet nukewa faclu; Tuyak ac oru nu sin mwet filang ma fal nu selos!
3 How long shall sinners, O Lord, how long shall sinners boast?
Mwet koluk inge ac engan putaka? LEUM GOD, elos ac konkin nwe ngac?
4 They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak [so].
Mwet orekma koluk elos ac inse fulat Ac tungakkin ma koluk lalos nwe ngac?
5 They have afflicted thy people, O Lord, and hurt thine heritage.
Elos itungya mwet lom, LEUM GOD, Ac akkeokye mwet su ma lom.
6 They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger.
Elos uniya katinmas ac tulik mukaimtal, Ac akmuseya mwetsac su muta in facl sesr.
7 And they said, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob understand.
Elos fahk, “LEUM GOD El tia liye kut; God lun Israel El tia akilen ma inge.”
8 Understand now, ye simple among the people; and ye fools, at length be wise.
Mwet luk, efu ku kowos arulana lalfon? Kowos ac etala ngac?
9 He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive?
God El orala insrasr — ya El ku in tia lohng? El orala mutasr — ya El ku in tia liye?
10 He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, [even] he that teaches man knowledge?
El mulat nu sin mutunfacl — ya el ac tia kaelos? El su luti mwet nukewa — ya pwaye wangin etu lal?
11 The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
LEUM GOD El etu ma elos nunku; El etu lah wangin kalmen nunak lalos.
12 Blessed is the man whomsoever thou shalt chasten, O Lord, and shalt teach him out of thy law;
O LEUM GOD, insewowo mwet se su kom luti, El su kom luti ke ma sap lom.
13 to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one.
Kom sang mongla nu sel ke len in ongoiya, Nwe ke pacl se pukpukyak sie luf in sruokya mwet koluk.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;
LEUM GOD El ac fah tia sisla mwet lal, Ac El ac fah tia som lukelos.
15 until righteousness return to judgment, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. (Pause)
Ac fah sifil koneyukyak nununku suwohs ke iwen nununku; Ac mwet suwoswos nukewa ac fah akkeye.
16 Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity?
Ku su ac tuyak keik in lain mwet koluk? Ac su ac wiyuyak lain elos su orek ma koluk?
17 If the Lord had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Hades.
LEUM GOD El funu tia kasreyu Na ngunik lukun sa na som nu ke facl se wangin pusra lohngyuk we.
18 If I said, My foot has been moved;
Nga fahk, “Nga ikori,” Na lungse kawil lom, O LEUM GOD, tapukyuyak.
19 thy mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, thy consolation have soothed my soul.
Ke pacl nga fohsak ke nunak pus insiuk, Kom akwoyeyu ac akenganye ngunik.
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by an ordinance?
Kom tia welulos su oru nununku sesuwos, Su oru mu ma koluk uh wo —
21 They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
Su pwapa sulallal lain mwet suwohs Ac wotela tuh mwet wangin mwata in anwuki.
22 But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope.
A LEUM GOD El loangeyu; God luk El nien moul luk.
23 And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them.
El ac fah kaelos ke koluk lalos, Ac kunauselosla ke ma koluk lalos; LEUM GOD lasr El ac fah kunauselosla.
