Psalms 77
1 For the end, for Idithun, a Psalm of Asaph. I cried to the Lord with my voice, yea, my voice [was addressed] to God; and he gave heed to me.
Para Jedutún, el director del coro. Un salmo de Asaf. Clamo a Dios pidiendo su ayuda. Sí, incluso a gritos. ¡Si tan solo Dios me oyera!
2 In the day of mine affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; [even] with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted.
Cuando estuve en aflicción oré al Señor. Toda la noche levanté mis manos al cielo en oración a él, pero no pude hallar consuelo alguno.
3 I remembered God, and rejoiced; I poured out my complaint, and my soul fainted. (Pause)
Medité en Dios con gemidos; pensé en él pero solo siento desconsuelo. (Selah)
4 All mine enemies set a watch [against me]: I was troubled, and spoke not.
No me dejas dormir. Estaba tan afligido que no podía ni hablar.
5 I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years.
Pienso en los viejos tiempos, que fueron hace tantos años.
6 And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, [saying],
Recuerdo los cantos que solía cantar por las noches. Medito entonces y me pregunto:
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more?
¿Se habrá cansado el Señor de mi para siempre? ¿Volverá nuevamente a agradarse de mi?
8 Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever?
¿Se habrá apagado para siempre su amor inagotable? ¿Se acabaron sus promesas?
9 Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? (Pause)
¿Se ha olvidado Dios de su bondad? ¿Habrá cerrado de un portazo las puertas a su compasión? (Selah)
10 And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.
Entonces dije: “Lo que más me duele es que el Señor ya no me trata como antes”.
11 I remembered the works of the Lord; for I will remember thy wonders from the beginning.
Recuerdo lo que has hecho, Señor. Recuerdo las maravillas que hiciste hace mucho tiempo.
12 And I will meditate on all thy works, and will consider thy doings.
Meditaré en todo lo que has logrado. Pensaré en tus actos.
13 O God, thy way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God?
Señor, tus caminos son santos. ¿Hay algún dios tan grande como tú?
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast made known thy power among the nations.
Tú eres el Dios que hace maravillas. Has revelado tu poder a las naciones.
15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Pause)
Con tu fuerza salvaste a tu pueblo, a los descendientes de Jacob y José. (Selah)
16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee, and feared; and the depths were troubled.
Cuando las aguas te vieron y temblaron. ¡Sí! ¡Temblaron hasta las profundidades!
17 [There was] an abundant sound of waters: the clouds uttered a voice; for thine arrows went abroad.
Las nubes derramaron lluvia, el trueno retumbó en los cielos y tus relámpagos volaban como flechas.
18 The voice of thy thunder was abroad, and around thy lightnings appeared to the world; the earth trembled a quaked.
Tu trueno retumbó desde el torbellino, y los relámpagos iluminaron el mundo. La tierra temblaba y se estremecía.
19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters, and thy footsteps cannot be known.
Tu camino conducía al mar, y pasaba por el mar profundo. Aun así tus huellas eran invisibles.
20 Thou didst guide thy people as sheep by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Guiaste a tu pueblo como un rebaño, pastoreado por Moisés y Aarón.
