< Psalms 61 >
1 For the end, among the Hymns of David. O God, hearken to my petition; attend to my prayer.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Ngai, igua kĩrĩro gĩakwa; thikĩrĩria ihooya rĩakwa.
2 From the ends of the earth have I cried to thee, when my heart was in trouble: thou liftedst me up on a rock thou didst guide me:
Ndĩragũkaĩra kuuma ituri cia thĩ, ndĩragũkaĩra o ngoro yakwa ĩgĩthiragwo nĩ hinya; ndongoria nginye rwaro-inĩ rwa ihiga rũrĩa rũraihu na igũrũ kũngĩra.
3 because thou wert my hope, a tower of strength from the face of the enemy.
Nĩgũkorwo nĩwe ũkoretwo ũrĩ rĩũrĩro rĩakwa, mũthiringo mũraihu na igũrũ wa hinya wa kwĩhitha kuuma kũrĩ thũ.
4 I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever; I will shelter myself under the shadow of thy wings. (Pause)
Ndĩĩriragĩria gũtũũra hema-inĩ yaku nginya tene, na ndĩĩhithage kĩĩruru-inĩ kĩa mathagu maku.
5 For thou, o God, hast heard my prayers; thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.
Nĩgũkorwo Wee Ngai nĩũiguĩte mĩĩhĩtwa yakwa, nĩũngaĩire igai rĩa andũ arĩa metigĩrĩte rĩĩtwa rĩaku.
6 Thou shalt add days to the days of the king; [thou shalt lengthen] his years to all generations.
Ongerera matukũ ma mũthamaki ma gũtũũra muoyo, mĩaka yake ĩigane ta ya njiarwa nyingĩ.
7 He shall endure for ever before God: which of them will seek out his mercy and truth?
Aroikarĩra gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene arĩ mbere ya Ngai nginya tene; tũma wendo na wĩhokeku waku imũgitagĩre.
8 So will I sing to thy name for ever and ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo ngatũũra nyinaga rwĩmbo rwa kũgooca rĩĩtwa rĩaku, na hingagie mĩĩhĩtwa yakwa mũthenya o mũthenya.
