Psalms 51
1 For the end, a Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, when he had gone to Bersabee. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy great mercy; and according to the multitude of thy compassions blot out my transgression.
Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi psalm Dawidowy. Gdy do niego przyszedł Natan prorok, potem jak był wszedł do Betsaby. Zmiłuj się nademną, Boże! według miłosierdzia twego; według wielkich litości twoich zgładź nieprawości moje.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Omyj mię doskonale od nieprawości mojej, a od grzechu mego oczyść mię.
3 For I am conscious of mine iniquity; and my sin is continually before me.
Albowiem ja znam nieprawość moję, a grzech mój przedemną jest zawżdy.
4 Against thee only have I sinned, and done evil before thee: that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Tobie, tobiem samemu zgrzeszył, i złem przed oczyma twemi uczynił, abyś był sprawiedliwy w mowie twojej, i czystym w sądzie twoim.
5 For, behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sins did my mother conceive me.
Oto w nieprawości poczęty jestem, a w grzechu poczęła mię matka moja.
6 For, behold, thou lovest truth: thou hast manifested to me the secret and hidden things of thy wisdom.
Oto się kochasz w prawdzie wewnętrznej, a skrytą mądrość objawiłeś mi.
7 Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be purified: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
Oczyść mię, isopem, a oczyszczon będę; omyj mię, a nad śnieg wybielony będę.
8 Thou shalt cause me to hear gladness and joy: the afflicted bones shall rejoice.
Daj mi słyszeć radość i wesele, a niech się rozradują kości moje, któreś pokruszył.
9 Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Odwróć oblicze twoje od grzechów moich, a zgładź wszystkie nieprawości moje.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit in my inward parts.
Serce czyste stwórz we mnie, o Boże! a ducha prawego odnów we wnętrznościach moich.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and remove not thy holy Spirit from me.
Nie odrzucaj mię od oblicza twego, a Ducha swego świętego nie odbieraj odemnie.
12 Restore to me the joy of thy salvation: establish me with thy directing Spirit.
Przywróć mi radość zbawienia twego, a duchem dobrowolnym podeprzyj mię.
13 [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and ungodly men shall turn to thee.
Tedy będę nauczał przestępców dróg twoich, aby się grzesznicy do ciebie nawrócili.
14 Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall joyfully declare thy righteousness.
Wyrwij mię z pomsty za krew, o Boże, Boże zbawienia mojego! a język mój będzie wysławiał sprawiedliwość twoję.
15 O Lord, thou shalt open my lips; and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
Panie! otwórz wargi moje, a usta moje opowiadać będą chwałę twoję.
16 For if thou desiredst sacrifice, I would have given [it]: thou wilt not take pleasure in whole-burnt-offerings.
Albowiem nie pragniesz ofiar, choćbym ci je dał, ani całopalenia przyjmiesz.
17 Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a broken and humbled heart God will not despise.
Ofiary Bogu przyjemne duch skruszony; sercem skruszonem i strapionem nie pogardzisz, o Boże!
18 Do good, O Lord, to Sion in thy good pleasure; and let the walls of Jerusalem be built.
Dobrze uczyń według upodobania twego Syonowi; pobubuj mury Jeruzalemskie.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, offering, and whole-burnt-sacrifices: then shall they offer calves upon thine altar.
Tedy przyjmiesz ofiary sprawiedliwości, ofiary ogniste, i całopalenia; tedy cielce ofiarować będą na ołtarzu twoim.
