Psalms 5
1 For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning her that inherits. Hearken to my words, O Lord, attend to my cry.
Kwa mwimbishaji. Kwa filimbi. Zaburi ya Daudi. Ee Bwana, tegea sikio maneno yangu, uangalie kupiga kite kwangu.
2 Attend to the voice of my supplication, my King, and my God: for to thee, O Lord, will I pray.
Sikiliza kilio changu ili unisaidie, Mfalme wangu na Mungu wangu, kwa maana kwako ninaomba.
3 In the morning thou shalt hear my voice: in the morning will I wait upon thee, and will look up.
Asubuhi, unasikia sauti yangu, Ee Bwana; asubuhi naleta haja zangu mbele zako, na kusubiri kwa matumaini.
4 For thou art not a god that desires iniquity; neither shall the worker of wickedness dwell with thee.
Wewe si Mungu unayefurahia uovu, kwako mtu mwovu hataishi.
5 Neither shall the transgressors continue in thy sight: thou hatest, O Lord, all them that work iniquity.
Wenye kiburi hawawezi kusimama mbele yako, unawachukia wote watendao mabaya.
6 Thou wilt destroy all that speak falsehood: the Lord abhors the bloody and deceitful man.
Unawaangamiza wasemao uongo. Bwana huwachukia wamwagao damu na wadanganyifu.
7 But I will enter into thine house in the multitude of thy mercy: I will worship in thy fear toward thy holy temple.
Lakini mimi, kwa rehema zako kuu, nitakuja katika nyumba yako, kwa unyenyekevu, nitasujudu kuelekea Hekalu lako takatifu.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make my way plain before thy face.
Niongoze katika haki yako, Ee Bwana, kwa sababu ya adui zangu, nyoosha njia yako mbele yangu.
9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain; their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit.
Hakuna neno kinywani mwao linaloweza kuaminika, mioyo yao imejaa maangamizi. Koo lao ni kaburi lililo wazi, kwa ndimi zao, wao hunena udanganyifu.
10 Judge them, O God; let them fail of their counsels: cast them out according to the abundance of their ungodliness; for they have provoked thee, O Lord.
Uwatangaze kuwa wenye hatia, Ee Mungu! Hila zao ziwe anguko lao wenyewe. Wafukuzie mbali kwa sababu ya dhambi zao nyingi, kwa kuwa wamekuasi wewe.
11 But let all that trust on thee be glad in thee: they shall exult for ever, and thou shalt dwell among them; and all that love thy name shall rejoice in thee.
Lakini wote wakimbiliao kwako na wafurahi, waimbe kwa shangwe daima. Ueneze ulinzi wako juu yao, ili wale wapendao jina lako wapate kukushangilia.
12 For thou, Lord, shalt bless the righteous: thou hast compassed us as with a shield of favour.
Kwa hakika, Ee Bwana, unawabariki wenye haki, unawazunguka kwa wema wako kama ngao.
