< Psalms 48 >
1 A Psalm of praise for the sons of Core on the second [day] of the week. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
Koramma dwom. Awurade yɛ ɔkɛse na ɔsɛ nkamfo, wɔ yɛn Nyankopɔn kuropɔn mu, ne bepɔw kronkron so.
2 The city of the great King is well planted [on] the mountains of Sion, with the joy of the whole earth, [on] the sides of the north.
Ne sorokɔ ma ɛyɛ fɛ, ɛyɛ wiase nyinaa anigyede. Bepɔw Sion te sɛ Safon sorɔnsorɔmmea, Ɔhenkɛse no kuropɔn.
3 God is known in her palaces, when he undertakes to help her.
Onyankopɔn te nʼabankɛse mu wada ne ho adi sɛ ɔyɛ nʼabandennen.
4 For, behold the kings of the earth were assembled, they came together.
Bere a ahemfo yi boaa wɔn ho ano, na wotuu ɔsa bɔɔ mu no,
5 They saw, and so they wondered: they were troubled, they were moved.
wohuu no ma ɛyɛɛ wɔn ahodwiriw, na wɔde ehu guanee.
6 Trembling took hold on them: there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.
Wɔbɔɔ huboa wɔ hɔ, ɔyaw a ɛte sɛ ɔbea a awo aka no.
7 Thou wilt break the ships of Tharsis with a vehement wind.
Wosɛe wɔn sɛ Tarsis ahyɛn a apuei mframa abɔ adwira wɔn.
8 As we have heard, so have we also seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God has founded it for ever. (Pause)
Sɛnea yɛate no, saa ara na yɛahu wɔ Asafo Awurade kuropɔn no mu, yɛn Nyankopɔn kuropɔn mu; Onyankopɔn ma etim hɔ afebɔɔ.
9 We have thought of thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy people.
Wʼasɔredan no mu; Ao, Onyankopɔn, na yɛdwene wo dɔ a enni huammɔ da no ho,
10 According to thy name, O God, so is also thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Ao, Onyankopɔn, wʼayeyi du asase ano te sɛ wo din te; trenee ayɛ wo nsa nifa mu ma.
11 Let mount Sion rejoice, let the daughters of Judaea exult, because of thy judgments, O Lord.
Sion bepɔw di ahurusi, Yuda nkuraase no ani gye esiane wʼatemmu no nti.
12 Go round about Sion, and encompass her: tell ye her towers.
Nantew Sion na twa ho hyia, kan nʼabantenten dodow,
13 Mark ye well her strength, and observe her palaces; that ye may tell the next generation.
dwene nʼafasu ho yiye, hwɛ nʼabankɛse no, na woaka ho asɛm akyerɛ nkyirimma.
14 For this is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide for evermore.
Saa Onyankopɔn yi yɛ yɛn Nyankopɔn daa daa; ɔbɛyɛ yɛn kwankyerɛfo akosi awiei mpo. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo.
