< Psalms 35 >

1 [A Psalm] of David. Judge thou, O Lord, them that injure me, fight against them that fight against me.
David ih Saam laa. Aw Angraeng, ka lokaek kaminawk to nang mah aek ah loe; kai tuh kaminawk to nang mah tuh ah.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and arise for my help.
Angvaenghaih hoi pakaahaih to la ah loe, kai abomh hanah angthawk ah.
3 Bring forth a sword, and stop [the way] against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am thy salvation.
Tayae to aphong ah loe, kai pacaekthlaek han patom kaminawk to pakaa khoep ah: ka hinghaih pakhra khaeah, Kai loe nang pahlongkung ni, tiah thui paeh.
4 Let them that seek my soul be ashamed and confounded: let them that devise evils against me be turned back and put to shame.
Ka hinghaih boeng hanah pakrong kaminawk to palungboeng o nasoe loe, azatpaw o nasoe: kai amro han khokhan kaminawk to azatpawhaih hoiah hnukbangah amlaem o let nasoe.
5 Let them be as dust before the wind, and an angel of the Lord afflicting them.
Nihcae loe takhi mah hmuh ih tavai baktiah om o nasoe loe, Angraeng ih van kami mah nihcae to haek nasoe.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.
Nihcae caehhaih loklam to khoving nasoe loe, loklam amnaesak nasoe: Angraeng ih van kami mah nihcae to pacaekthlaek nasoe.
7 For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare: without a cause they have reproached my soul.
Nihcae loe takung om ai ah tamquta hoi kai hanah palok zang o, takung om ai ah ka hinghaih paro hanah tangqom to takaeh o.
8 Let a snare which they know not come upon them; and the gin which they hid take them; and let them fall into the very same snare.
To baktih kami nuiah poek ai pui hoiah raihaih to pha pae nasoe; angmah payang ih palok pongah angmah to aman nasoe: to amrohaih tangqom thungah angmah to krah nasoe.
9 But my soul shall exult in the Lord: it shall delight in his salvation.
To naah ka hinghaih mah Angraeng ah anghoe ueloe, anih pahlonghaih pongah anghoe tih.
10 All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like to thee? delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yea, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him.
To naah ka huhnawk boih mah, thacak kami ban thung hoiah amtang kami pahlongkung, ue, paro thaih kami ban thung hoiah amtang kaminawk pahlongkung, Angraeng, mi maw nang baktih kaom? tiah thui o tih.
11 Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I new not.
Amsawn hnukung ah angdoe kaminawk loe angthawk o moe, ka panoek ai ih hmuennawk to ka nuiah amtik o.
12 They rewarded me evil for good, and bereavement to my soul.
Ka hinghaih paro hanah kahoih hmuen to kasae hoiah ang pathok o.
13 But I, when they troubled me, put on sackcloth, and humbled my soul with fasting: and my prayer shall return to my [own] bosom.
Toe kai loe nihcae ngannat o naah, buri kazii to kang zaeng moe, buhzah lawkthuihaih hoiah poek ka pahnaem pacoengah, palungthin tang hoiah lawk ka thuih.
14 I behaved agreeably towards them as [if it had been] our neighbour [or] brother: I humbled myself as one mourning and sad of countenance.
Nihcae to kam pui hoi kaimah ih nawkamya baktiah ka poek: kami mah amno duek naah palungset baktih toengah, palungset hoiah ka ngam sut.
15 Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew [it] not: they were scattered, but repented not.
Toe kai amtim naah loe nihcae anghoe o moe, nawnto amkhueng o; ue, kai patoem kaminawk loe nawnto amkhueng o, nihcae to ka panoek ai; nihcae loe anghak ai ah kai ang pasik o:
16 They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me.
kasae kaminawk mah poihkung ah minawk pahnuih o thuih baktih toengah, kai han haa ang kaek o thuih.
17 O Lord, when wilt thou look upon me? Deliver my soul from their mischief, mine only-begotten one from the lions.
18 I will give thanks to thee even in a great congregation: in an abundant people I will praise thee.
19 Let not them that are mine enemies without a cause rejoice against me; who hate me for nothing, and wink with their eyes.
Amsoem ai ah ka misanawk mah ka nuiah anghoe o thuih hmah nasoe; takung om ai ah kai hnuma kaminawk mah mik na pakhrip o thuih hmah nasoe.
20 For to me they spoke peaceably, but imagined deceits in [their] anger.
Nihcae loe angdaehhaih to lok thui o ai; nihcae loe prae thungah amding rue ah khosah kaminawk athlaeng thai hanah pacaeng o.
21 And they opened wide their mouth upon me; they said Aha, aha, our eyes have seen [it].
Ue, nihcae loe pakha angh o moe, Aha, aha, aimacae ih mik hoi roe a hnuk o boeh, tiah a thuih o.
22 Thou hast seen [it], O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, withdraw not [thyself] from me.
23 Awake, O Lord, and attend to my judgment, [even] to my cause, my God and my Lord.
Ka Sithaw hoi Angraeng, kai kawng pongah lokcaek hanah, anglawt loe, angthawk ah!
24 Judge me, O Lord, according to thy righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice against me.
25 Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, aha, [it is pleasing] to our soul: neither let them say, We have devoured him.
Nihcae mah palung thung hoiah Aah, aicae koehhaih loe acung boeh, tiah thui o hmah nasoe: anih loe a paaeh o boeh, tiah thui o hmah nasoe.
26 Let them be confounded and ashamed together that rejoice at my afflictions: let them be clothed with shame and confusion that speak great swelling words against me.
Karai ka tonghaih nuiah anghoe kaminawk loe azatpaw o nasoe loe, dawnraihaih hoiah om o nasoe: kai amoek thuih kaminawk loe azatpaw o nasoe loe, ahminsethaih hoiah om o nasoe.
27 Let them that rejoice in my righteousness exult and be glad: and let them say continually, The Lord be magnified, who desire the peace of his servant.
Ka toenghaih pongah anghoe kaminawk loe, anghoehaih laa to sah o nasoe loe, nawm o nasoe: ue, Angmah ih tamna qoeng tahanghaih koeh Angraeng loe, lensawkhaih om nasoe, tiah thui o poe nasoe.
28 And my tongue shall meditate on thy righteousness, [and] on thy praise all the day.
