Psalms 32
1 [A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.
Phước thay cho người nào được tha sự vi phạm mình! Ðược khỏa lấp tội lỗi mình!
2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.
Phước thay cho người nào Ðức Giê-hô-va không kể gian ác cho, Và trong lòng không có sự giả dối!
3 Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.
Khi tôi nín lặng, các xương cốt tôi tiêu-tàn, Và tôi rên siết trọn ngày;
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. (Pause)
Vì ngày và đêm tay Chúa đè nặng trên tôi; Nước bổ thân tôi tiêu hao như bởi khô hạn mùa hè.
5 I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and thou forgavest the ungodliness of my heart. (Pause)
Tôi đã thú tội cùng Chúa, không giấu gian ác tôi; Tôi nói: Tôi sẽ xưng các sự vi phạm tôi cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va; Còn Chúa tha tội ác của tôi.
6 Therefore shall every holy one pray to thee in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come nigh to him.
Bởi cớ ấy phàm người nhơn đức đều cầu nguyện cùng Chúa trong khi có thể gặp Ngài; Quả thật, trong lúc có nước lụt lan ra, thì sẽ chẳng lan đến người.
7 Thou art my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. (Pause)
Chúa là nơi ẩn núp tôi; Chúa bảo hộ tôi khỏi sự gian truân; Chúa lấy bài hát giải cứu mà vây phủ tôi.
8 I will instruct thee and guide thee in this way wherein thou shalt go: I will fix mine eyes upon thee.
Ta sẽ dạy dỗ ngươi, chỉ cho ngươi con đường phải đi; Mắt ta sẽ chăm chú ngươi mà khuyên dạy ngươi.
9 Be ye not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but thou must] constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come nigh to thee.
Chớ như con ngựa và con la, là vật vô tri; Phải dùng hàm khớp và dây cương mới cầm chúng nó được, Bằng chẳng, chúng nó không đến gần ngươi.
10 Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.
Kẻ ác có nhiều nỗi đau đớn; Nhưng người nào tin cậy nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va, sự nhơn từ vây phủ người ấy.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and exult, ye righteous: and glory, all ye that are upright in heart.
Hỡi người công bình, hãy vui vẻ và hớn hở nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va! Ớ các người có lòng ngay thẳng, hãy reo mừng!
