Psalms 148
1 Alleluia, [a Psalm] of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the highest.
याहवेह का स्तवन हो. आकाशमंडल में याहवेह का स्तवन हो; उच्च स्थानों में उनका स्तवन हो.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
उनके समस्त स्वर्गदूत उनका स्तवन करें; स्वर्गिक सेनाएं उनका स्तवन करें.
3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all ye stars and light.
सूर्य और चंद्रमा उनका स्तवन करें; टिमटिमाते समस्त तारे उनका स्तवन करें.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens.
सर्वोच्च आकाश, उनका स्तवन करे और वह जल भी, जो स्वर्ग के ऊपर संचित है.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
ये सभी याहवेह की महिमा का स्तवन करें, क्योंकि इन सब की रचना, आदेश मात्र से हुई है.
6 He has established them for ever, even for ever and ever: he has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away.
उन्होंने इन्हें सदा-सर्वदा के लिए स्थापित किया है; उन्होंने राजाज्ञा प्रसारित की, जिसको टाला नहीं जा सकता.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye serpents, and all deeps.
पृथ्वी से याहवेह का स्तवन किया जाए, महासागर तथा उनके समस्त विशालकाय प्राणी,
8 Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy wind; the things that perform his word.
अग्नि और ओले, हिम और धुंध, प्रचंड बवंडर उनका आदेश पालन करते हैं,
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
पर्वत और पहाड़ियां, फलदायी वृक्ष तथा सभी देवदार,
10 wild beasts, and all cattle; reptiles, and winged birds:
वन्य पशु और पालतू पशु, रेंगते जंतु और उड़ते पक्षी,
11 kings of the earth, and all peoples; princes, and all judges of the earth:
पृथ्वी के राजा और राज्य के लोग, प्रधान और पृथ्वी के समस्त शासक,
12 young men and virgins, old men with youths:
युवक और युवतियां, वृद्ध और बालक.
13 let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name only is exalted; his praise is above the earth and heaven,
सभी याहवेह की महिमा का गुणगान करें, क्योंकि मात्र उन्हीं की महिमा सर्वोच्च है; उनका ही तेज पृथ्वी और आकाश से महान है.
14 and he shall exalt the horn of his people, [there is] a hymn for all his saints, [even] of the children of Israel, a people who draw near to him.
अपनी प्रजा के लिए उन्होंने एक सामर्थ्यी राजा का उद्भव किया है, जो उनके सभी भक्तों के गुणगान का पात्र हैं, इस्राएली प्रजा के लिए, जो उनकी अत्यंत प्रिय है. याहवेह की स्तुति हो.
