< Psalms 123 >

1 A Song of Degrees. Unto thee who dwellest in heaven have I lifted up mine eyes.
Mɔzɔha. Mewu mo dzi na wò, wò ame si ƒe fiazikpui le dziƒo.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants [are directed] to the hands of their masters, [and] as the eyes of a maidservant to the hands of her mistress; so our eyes [are directed] to the Lord our God, until he have mercy upon us.
Abe ale si kluviwo kpɔa woƒe aƒetɔ ƒe asinu kple kosiviwo ƒe ŋku nɔa woƒe aƒenɔ ƒe asinu kpɔmii ene la, nenemae míele Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la ƒe asinu kpɔmii, va se ɖe esime wòakpɔ nublanui na mí.
3 Have pity upon us, O Lord, have pity upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
O! Yehowa, kpɔ nublanui na mí, O! Kpɔ míaƒe nublanui, elabena míenɔ te ɖe vlododo nu eteƒe didi.
4 [Yea], our soul has been exceedingly filled [with it]: [let] the reproach [be] to them that are at ease, and contempt to the proud.
Míetsɔ dadalawo ƒe alɔmeɖeɖe gbogboawo, eye míenɔ te ɖe ɖokuiŋudzelawo ƒe vlodoame gbogboawo nu eteƒe didi.
