Psalms 120

1 A Song of Degrees. In mine affliction I cried to the Lord, and he hearkened to me.

ആരോഹണഗീതം. എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു, അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളുന്നു.

2 Deliver my soul, O Lord, from unjust lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

യഹോവേ, വ്യാജംപറയുന്ന അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും വഞ്ചനയുരുവിടുന്ന നാവിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.

3 What should be given to thee, and what should be added to thee, for [thy] crafty tongue?

വ്യാജമുള്ള നാവേ, ദൈവം നിന്നോട് എന്താണു ചെയ്യാൻപോകുന്നത്? ഇതിലധികം എന്തുവേണം?

4 Sharpened weapons of the mighty, with coals of the desert.

യോദ്ധാവിന്റെ മൂർച്ചയേറിയ അസ്ത്രത്താലും കട്ടിയേറിയ മരത്തിന്റെ കത്തുന്ന കനലിനാലും അവിടന്നു നിന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കും.

5 Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged; I have tabernacled among the tents of Kedar.

ഞാൻ മേശെക്കിൽ അലഞ്ഞുതിരിയുന്നതിനാലും കേദാർ കൂടാരങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്നതിനാലും എനിക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

6 My soul has long been a sojourner;

സമാധാനം വെറുക്കുന്നവരോടൊപ്പം ഞാൻ വളരെക്കാലമായി താമസിച്ചുവരുന്നു.

7 I was peaceable among them that hated peace; when I spoke to them, they warred against me without a cause.

ഞാൻ ഒരു സമാധാനകാംക്ഷിയാണ്; ഞാൻ അതേപ്പറ്റി സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിനായൊരുങ്ങുന്നു.
