Psalms 119
1 Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
ALEF Blagoslovljeni so neomadeževani na poti, ki hodijo v Gospodovi postavi.
2 Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
Blagoslovljeni so tisti, ki ohranjajo njegova pričevanja in ki ga iščejo z vsem srcem.
3 For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
Tudi ne počno krivičnosti; hodijo po njegovih poteh.
4 Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
Ti si nam ukazal, da se marljivo držimo tvojih predpisov.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
Oh, da bi bile moje poti usmerjene, da se držim tvojih zakonov!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
Potem ne bom osramočen, ko se oziram k vsem tvojim zapovedim.
7 I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
Hvalil te bom z iskrenostjo srca, ko se bom učil tvojih pravičnih sodb.
8 I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
Držal se bom tvojih zakonov; o ne zapusti me popolnoma.
9 Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
BET S čim naj mladenič očisti svojo pot? S tem, da je pozoren nanjo, glede na tvojo besedo.
10 With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
S svojim celotnim srcem te iščem; o ne pusti me oddaljiti se od tvojih zapovedi.
11 I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Tvojo besedo sem skril v svoje srce, da ne bi grešil zoper tebe.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
Blagoslovljen si ti, oh Gospod; úči me svojih zakonov.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
S svojimi ustnicami sem oznanjal vse sodbe tvojih ust.
14 I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
Veselil sem se na poti tvojih pričevanj, toliko kakor v vseh tvojih bogastvih.
15 I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
Premišljeval bom o tvojih predpisih in se oziral k tvojim potem.
16 I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
Razveseljeval se bom v tvojih zakonih. Ne bom pozabil tvoje besede.
17 Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
GIMEL Radodarno ravnaj s svojim služabnikom, da bom lahko živel in se držal tvoje besede.
18 Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
Odpri moje oči, da bom lahko gledal čudovite besede iz tvoje postave.
19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
Jaz sem tujec na zemlji; svojih zapovedi ne skrivaj pred menoj.
20 My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
Moja duša slabi zaradi hrepenenja, ki ga ima ob vseh časih do tvojih sodb.
21 Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
Oštel si ponosne, ki so prekleti, ki zaidejo od tvojih zapovedi.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
Odstrani od mene grajo in zaničevanje, kajti držal sem se tvojih pričevanj.
23 For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
Tudi princi so sedeli in govorili zoper mene, toda tvoj služabnik je premišljeval o tvojih zakonih.
24 For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
Tvoja pričevanja so tudi moje veselje in moji svetovalci.
25 My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
DALET Moja duša se lepi na prah, oživi me glede na svojo besedo.
26 I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
Oznanil sem svoje poti in ti si me slišal; úči me svojih zakonov.
27 Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
Daj mi razumeti pot tvojih predpisov; tako bom govoril o tvojih čudovitih delih.
28 My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
Moja duša se topi zaradi potrtosti; okrepi me glede na svojo besedo.
29 Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
Od mene odstrani lažnivo pot in mi milostno podéli svojo postavo.
30 I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
Izbral sem pot resnice, tvoje sodbe sem položil pred seboj.
31 I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
Prijel sem se tvojih pričevanj, oh Gospod; ne izroči me v sramoto.
32 I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
Tekel bom pot tvojih zapovedi, ko boš razširil moje srce.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
HE Úči me, oh Gospod, pot tvojih zakonov in tega se bom držal do konca.
34 Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
Daj mi razumevanje in bom čuval tvojo postavo; da, obeleževal jo bom s svojim celotnim srcem.
35 Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
Stôri mi, da grem po stezi tvojih zapovedi, kajti v tem se razveseljujem.
36 Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Nagni moje srce k tvojim pričevanjem, ne pa k pohlepnosti.
37 Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
Odvrni moje oči od gledanja praznih reči in oživi me na svoji poti.
38 Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
Utrdi svojo besedo svojemu služabniku, ki je vdan tvojemu strahu.
39 Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
Odvrni mojo grajo, ki se je bojim, kajti tvoje sodbe so dobre.
40 Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
Glej, hrepenel sem za tvojimi predpisi. Oživi me v svoji pravičnosti.
41 And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
VAV Naj tvoja usmiljenja pridejo tudi k meni, oh Gospod, celó tvoja rešitev duše, glede na tvojo besedo.
42 And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
Tako bom imel kaj odgovoriti tistemu, ki me graja, kajti zaupam v tvojo besedo.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
Besede resnice pa ne vzemi popolnoma iz mojih ust, kajti [potrpežljivo] sem upal v tvoje sodbe.
Tako se bom nenehno držal tvoje postave, na veke vekov.
45 I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
Hodil bom na prostosti, kajti iščem tvoje predpise.
46 And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
Tudi pred kralji bom govoril o tvojih pričevanjih in ne bom osramočen.
47 And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
Razveseljeval se bom v tvojih zapovedih, ki sem jih vzljubil.
48 And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
Tudi svoje roke bom dvignil k tvojim zapovedim, ki sem jih vzljubil in premišljeval bom o tvojih zakonih.
49 Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
ZAJIN Spomni se besede svojemu služabniku, na osnovi katere si mi storil, da upam.
50 This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
To je moja tolažba v moji stiski, kajti tvoja beseda me je oživila.
51 The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
Ponosni so me imeli silno v posmeh, vendar se nisem nagnil od tvoje postave.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
Spomnil sem se tvojih sodb od davnine, oh Gospod in se potolažil.
53 Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
Polastila se me je groza zaradi zlobnih, ki zapuščajo tvojo postavo.
54 Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
Tvoji zakoni so bili moje pesmi v hiši mojega popotovanja.
55 I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
Ponoči sem se spominjal tvojega imena, oh Gospod in se držal tvoje postave.
56 This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
To sem imel, ker sem se držal tvojih predpisov.
57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
HET »Ti si moj delež, oh Gospod.« Rekel sem, da bom ohranjal tvoje besede.
58 I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
S svojim celotnim srcem sem milo prosil tvojo naklonjenost; bodi mi usmiljen glede na svojo besedo.
59 I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
Mislil sem na svoje poti in svoja stopala sem obrnil k tvojim pričevanjem.
60 I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
Podvizal sem se in nisem odlašal, da se držim tvojih zapovedi.
61 The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
Vezi zlobnih so me oropale, toda nisem pozabil tvoje postave.
62 At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
Opolnoči bom vstajal, da se ti zahvaljujem zaradi tvojih pravičnih sodb.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
Jaz sem družabnik vseh teh, ki se te bojijo in teh, ki se držijo tvojih predpisov.
64 O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
Zemlja, oh Gospod, je polna tvojega usmiljenja; úči me svojih zakonov.
65 Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
TET Dobro si storil s svojim služabnikom, oh Gospod, glede na svojo besedo.
66 Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Úči me dobre sodbe in spoznanja, kajti veroval sem tvojim zapovedim.
67 Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
Preden sem bil užaloščen, sem zašel, toda sedaj sem se držal tvoje besede.
68 Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
Ti si dober in delaš dobro; úči me svojih zakonov.
69 The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
Ponosni so zoper mene kovali laž, toda tvojih predpisov se bom držal s svojim celotnim srcem.
70 Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
Njihovo srce je tako rejeno kakor mast, toda jaz se razveseljujem v tvoji postavi.
71 [It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
Dobro je zame, da sem bil užaloščen, da se lahko učim tvojih zakonov.
72 The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
Postava tvojih ust mi je boljša kakor tisoči zlata in srebra.
73 Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
JOD Tvoje roke so me naredile in me oblikovale; daj mi razumevanje, da se lahko učim tvojih zapovedi.
74 They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
Tisti, ki se te bojijo, bodo veseli, ko me vidijo, kajti upal sem v tvojo besedo.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
Vem, oh Gospod, da so tvoje sodbe pravične in da si me ti v zvestobi užalostil.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
Prosim te, naj bo tvoja usmiljena prijaznost za mojo tolažbo, glede na svojo besedo svojemu služabniku.
77 Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
Naj tvoja nežna usmiljenja pridejo k meni, da bom lahko živel, kajti tvoja postava je moja naslada.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
Naj bodo ponosni osramočeni, kajti brez razloga so sprevrženo ravnali z menoj, toda jaz bom premišljeval o tvojih predpisih.
79 Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
Naj se tisti, ki se te bojijo, obrnejo k meni in tisti, ki so spoznali tvoja pričevanja.
80 Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
Naj bo moje srce brez graje v tvojih zakonih, da ne bom osramočen.
81 My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
KAF Moja duša slabi zaradi tvoje rešitve duše, toda jaz upam v tvojo besedo.
82 Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Moje oči pešajo zaradi tvoje besede, rekoč: »Kdaj me boš potolažil?«
83 For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Kajti postal sem podoben mehu v dimu, vendar ne pozabljam tvojih zakonov.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
Koliko je dni tvojega služabnika? Kdaj boš izvršil sodbo na tistih, ki me preganjajo?
85 Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
Ponosni, ki niso po tvoji postavi, so zame kopáli jame.
86 All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
Vse tvoje zapovedi so zanesljive; po krivem me preganjajo, pomagaj mi.
87 They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
Na zemlji so me skoraj požrli, toda jaz nisem zapustil tvojih predpisov.
88 Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
Oživi me po svoji ljubeči skrbnosti, tako se bom držal pričevanja tvojih ust.
89 Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
LAMED Na veke, oh Gospod, je tvoja beseda utrjena na nebu.
90 Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
Tvoja zvestoba je za vse rodove; utrdil si zemljo in ta ostaja.
91 The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
Danes nadaljujejo glede na tvoje odredbe, kajti vsi so tvoji služabniki.
92 Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
Če ne bi bila tvoja postava moje naslade, potem bi v svoji stiski propadel.
93 I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
Nikoli ne bom pozabil tvojih predpisov, kajti oživil si me.
94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
Jaz sem tvoj, reši me, kajti iskal sem tvoje predpise.
95 Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
Zlobni so čakali name, da me uničijo, toda jaz bom preudarjal tvoja pričevanja.
96 have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
Videl sem konec vse popolnosti, toda tvoja zapoved je silno široka.
97 How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
MEM Oh kako ljubim tvojo postavo! Ona je ves dan moje premišljevanje.
98 Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
Zaradi svojih zapovedi si me naredil modrejšega od mojih sovražnikov, kajti one so vedno z menoj.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
Imam več razumevanja kakor vsi moji učitelji, kajti tvoja pričevanja so moje premišljevanje.
100 I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
Razumem več kakor starci, ker se držim tvojih predpisov.
101 I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
Svoja stopala sem zadržal pred vsako zlo potjo, da bi lahko obdržal tvojo besedo.
102 I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
Nisem odšel od tvojih sodb, kajti ti si me učil.
103 How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
Kako sladke so tvoje besede mojemu okusu! Da, slajše kakor med mojim ustom.
104 I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
Skozi tvoje predpise prejemam razumevanje, zato sovražim vsako napačno pot.
105 Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
NUN Tvoja beseda je svetilka mojim stopalom in svetloba moji stezi.
106 I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
Prisegel sem in to bom opravil, da se bom držal tvojih pravičnih sodb.
107 I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
Zelo sem užaloščen. Oživi me, oh Gospod, glede na svojo besedo.
108 Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
Rotim te, sprejmi prostovoljne daritve mojih ust, oh Gospod in uči me svojih sodb.
109 My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
Moja duša je nenehno v moji roki, vendar ne pozabljam tvoje postave.
110 Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
Zlobni so zame položili zanko, vendar nisem zašel od tvojih predpisov.
111 I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
Tvoja pričevanja sem vzel kot dediščino na veke, kajti ta so veselje mojega srca.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
Svoje srce sem nagnil, da vedno izpolnjujem tvoje zakone, celo do konca.
113 I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
SAMEH Sovražim prazne misli, toda ljubim tvojo postavo.
114 Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
Ti si moje skrivališče in moj ščit; upam v tvojo besedo.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
Odidite od mene, vi hudodelci, kajti držal se bom zapovedi svojega Boga.
116 Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
Podpiraj me glede na svojo besedo, da bom lahko živel in zaradi svojega upanja naj ne bom osramočen.
117 Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
Dvigni me in bom varen in nenehno se bom oziral k tvojim zakonom.
118 Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
Pomendral si vse tiste, ki so zašli od tvojih zakonov, kajti njihova prevara je neresnica.
119 I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
Vse zlobneže zemlje daješ na stran kakor žlindro, zato ljubim tvoja pričevanja.
120 Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
Moje meso trepeta zaradi strahu pred teboj in bojim se tvojih sodb.
121 I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
AJIN Storil sem sodbo in pravico; ne prepusti me mojim zatiralcem.
122 Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
Bodi pôrok za svojega služabnika v dobro; naj me ponosni ne zatirajo.
123 Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
Moje oči pešajo zaradi tvoje rešitve duše in zaradi besede tvoje pravičnosti.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
S svojim služabnikom postopaj glede na svoje usmiljenje in uči me svojih zakonov.
125 I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
Jaz sem tvoj služabnik; daj mi razumevanje, da bom lahko spoznal tvoja pričevanja.
126 [It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
Čas je zate, Gospod, da delaš, kajti razveljavili so tvojo postavo.
127 Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
Zato ljubim tvoje zapovedi bolj kakor zlato, da, bolj kakor čisto zlato.
128 Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
Zatorej spoštujem vse tvoje predpise glede vseh stvari, da so pravilni; in sovražim vsako napačno pot.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
PE Tvoja pričevanja so čudovita, zatorej se jih moja duša drži.
130 The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
Vstop tvojih besed daje svetlobo, to daje razumevanje preprostemu.
131 I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
Odprl sem svoja usta in trepetal, kajti hrepenel sem za tvojimi zapovedmi.
132 Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
Poglej name in bodi mi usmiljen, kakor ravnaš s tistimi, ki ljubijo tvoje ime.
133 Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Odredi moje korake po svoji besedi in nobena krivičnost naj nima gospostva nad menoj.
134 Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
Osvobodi me pred človeškim zatiranjem; tako se bom držal tvojih predpisov.
135 Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
Stôri, da tvoj obraz sveti nad tvojim služabnikom in úči me svojih zakonov.
136 Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
Reke vodá iztekajo [iz] mojih oči, ker se ne držijo tvoje postave.
137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
TSADE Pravičen si ti, oh Gospod in tvoje sodbe so iskrene.
138 Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
Tvoja pričevanja, ki si jih zapovedal, so iskrena in zelo zanesljiva.
139 Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
Moja gorečnost me je použila, ker so moji sovražniki pozabili tvoje besede.
140 Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
Tvoja beseda je zelo čista, zato jo tvoj služabnik ljubi.
141 I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Majhen sem in preziran, vendar ne pozabljam tvojih predpisov.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
Tvoja pravičnost je večna pravičnost in tvoja postava je resnica.
143 Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
Stiska in tesnoba sta se me polastili, vendar so tvoje zapovedi moje naslade.
144 Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
Pravičnost tvojih pričevanj je večna; daje mi razumevanje in jaz bom živel.
145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
KOF Klical sem z vsem svojim celotnim srcem; usliši me, oh Gospod, držal se bom tvojih zakonov.
146 I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
Klical sem k tebi; reši me in držal se bom tvojih pričevanj.
147 I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
Slutil sem svitanje jutra in klical; upal sem v tvojo besedo.
148 Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
Moje oči so slutile nočne straže, da bi lahko premišljeval v tvoji besedi.
149 Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
Prisluhni mojemu glasu glede na svojo ljubečo skrbnost, oh Gospod; oživi me glede na svojo sodbo.
150 They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
Približali so se tisti, ki sledijo vragoliji; daleč so od tvoje postave.
151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
Ti si blizu, oh Gospod, in vse tvoje zapovedi so resnica.
152 I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
Glede tvojih pričevanj sem spoznal od davnine, da si jih ti utemeljil na veke.
153 Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.

154 Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
Zagovarjaj mojo pravdo in me osvobodi; oživi me glede na svojo besedo.
155 Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
Rešitev duš je daleč od zlobnih, kajti oni ne iščejo tvojih zakonov.
156 Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
Velika so tvoja nežna usmiljenja, oh Gospod; oživi me glede na tvoje sodbe.
157 Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
Mnogo je mojih preganjalcev in mojih sovražnikov, vendar se ne nagnem od tvojih pričevanj.
158 I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.
Zagledal sem prestopnike in bil užaloščen, ker se niso držali tvoje besede.
159 Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
Preudari kako ljubim tvoje predpise; oživi me, oh Gospod, glede na svojo ljubečo skrbnost.
160 The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
Tvoja beseda je resnična od začetka in vsaka od tvojih pravičnih sodb traja večno.
161 Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
ŠIN Princi so me preganjali brez vzroka, toda moje srce stoji v strahospoštovanju pred tvojo besedo.
162 I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
Veselim se ob tvoji besedi kakor nekdo, ki najde velik plen.
163 I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
Sovražim in preziram lažnivost, toda ljubim tvojo postavo.
164 Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
Sedemkrat dnevno te hvalim zaradi tvojih pravičnih sodb.
165 Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
Velik mir imajo tisti, ki ljubijo tvojo postavo in nič jih ne bo prizadelo.
166 I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
Gospod, upal sem na tvojo rešitev duše in storil tvoje zapovedi.
167 My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
Moja duša je obdržala tvoja pričevanja in silno jih ljubim.
168 I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
Držal sem se tvojih predpisov in tvojih pričevanj, kajti vse moje poti so pred teboj.
169 Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
TAV Naj moj klic pride blizu predte, oh Gospod; daj mi razumevanje glede na svojo besedo.
170 Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
Naj moja ponižna prošnja pride predte; osvobodi me glede na svojo besedo.
171 Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
Moje ustnice bodo izgovarjale hvalo, ko si me učil svojih zakonov.
172 Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
Moj jezik bo govoril o tvoji besedi, kajti vse tvoje zapovedi so pravičnost.
173 Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
Tvoja roka naj mi pomaga, kajti izbral sem tvoje predpise.
174 I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
Hrepenel sem za tvojo rešitvijo duše, oh Gospod in tvoja postava je moja naslada.
175 My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
Naj moja duša živi in te bo hvalila in naj mi tvoje sodbe pomagajo.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
Zašel sem kakor izgubljena ovca; išči svojega služabnika, kajti jaz ne pozabljam tvojih zapovedi.
