< Psalms 118 >

1 Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

2 Let now the house of Israel say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

3 Let now the house of Aaron say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

4 Let now all that fear the Lord say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

5 I called on the Lord out of affliction: and he hearkened to me, [so as to bring me] into a wide place.
Ka lungpout nah BAWIPA ka kaw teh, BAWIPA ni hai na pato teh, hmuen akawnae koe na o sak.
6 The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.
BAWIPA ni na kampangkhai dawkvah ka taket mahoeh, Tami ni kai lathueng bangmouh a sak thai han.
7 The Lord is my helper; and I shall see [my desire] upon mine enemies.
BAWIPA teh na kabawm e lah ao. Hatdawkvah, na ka hmuhma e naw koe ka lungngai akuep han.
8 [It is] better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man.
Tami kâuep hlak BAWIPA kâuep ahawihnawn.
9 [It is] better to hope in the Lord, than to hope in princes.
Bawinaw kâuep hlak BAWIPA kâuep ahawihnawn.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Miphun pueng ni na kalup awh. Hatei, ahnimanaw teh BAWIPA min lahoi koung ka raphoe han.
11 They completely compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Ahnimouh ni na kalup awh, na tuembue awh. Hatei, BAWIPA min lahoi koung ka raphoe han.
12 They compassed me about as bees [do] a honeycomb, and they burst into flame as fire among thorns: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Khoi ni a kayo e patetlah na kalup nakunghai, buruk hmai kang e patetlah a roum awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA min lahoi koung ka raphoe han.
13 I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
Ka rawp nahanlah puenghoi na ka tanawt nakunghai, BAWIPA ni na kabawp.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.
BAWIPA teh ka tha hoi ka la doeh. Ahni teh kaie rungngangnae doeh.
15 The voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord has wrought mightily.
Tami kalannaw e rim dawkvah, konawmnae pawlawk hoi rungngangnae pawlawk teh ao. BAWIPA e aranglae kut ni taranhawinae lahoi a tawk.
16 The right hand of the Lord has exalted me: the right hand of the Lord has wrought powerfully.

17 I shall not die, but live, and recount the works of the Lord.

18 The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.
BAWIPA ni puenghoi na yue, hatei due hane teh pasoung hoeh rah.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.
Lannae takhang teh na paawng pouh haw. Hawvah ka kâen vaiteh, BAWIPA ka pholen han.
20 This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it.
Hethateh, BAWIPA e longkha, tami kalannaw a kâen nahane doeh.
21 I will give thanks to thee; because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
Nang teh, na pholen han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang ni na pato teh, kaie rungngangnae lah na o.
22 The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.
Im kasakkungnaw ni a pahnawt awh e talung hah alawkpui poung e a takinlung lah ao.
23 This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.
Hothateh, BAWIPA ni a sak e doeh. Maimae mithmu haiyah kângairu hanlah ao.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it.
Hethateh, BAWIPA ni a sak e hnin a tho. Hote hnin dawkvah, lunghawi awh han. Konawm awh han.
25 O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.
Oe BAWIPA, atu na rungngang haw telah ka ratoum. Oe BAWIPA kuepcingnae hah na poe haw telah ka ratoum.
26 Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
BAWIPA min lahoi ka tho e teh tami yawkahawi e doeh. BAWIPA imthung hoi yawhawi teh na poe awh.
27 God is the Lord, and he has shined upon us: celebrate the feast with thick [branches, binding the victims] even to the horns of the altar.
Cathut teh BAWIPA lah ao teh angnae hah na poe awh toe. Thueng nahane hateh thuengnae khoungroe ki dawk rui hoi pâkhit nateh pen awh.
28 Thou art my God, and I will give thee thanks: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will give thanks to thee, for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
Nang teh, kaie Cathut lah na o, na pholen han. Nang teh, ka Cathut lah na o. Na tawm han.
29 Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Oe, BAWIPA koe lunghawilawk dei awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ama teh ahawi. A lungmanae teh a yungyoe a kangning.
