< Proverbs 8 >

1 Thou shalt proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to thee.
Tsy mikoike hao ty hihitse, tsy mañonjom-piarañanañañe hao ty hilala?
2 For she is on lofty eminences, and stands in the midst of the ways.
An-kaboañe ey, añ’olon-dalañe eo, am-pitsileañe eo ty ijohaña’e;
3 For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, [saying],
añ’ilan-dalam-bein-tsariran-drova eo ami’ty fiziliha’ o lalam-beio ty ikoha’e ty hoe:
4 You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.
Ry ondatio, ikanjiako, ty feoko mb’amo ana’ ondatio.
5 O ye simple, understand subtlety, and ye that are untaught, imbibe knowledge.
Ry trentrañeo, mioha hakarafitoañe; naho, ry seretseo, mandrendreha an-troke.
6 Hearken to me; for I will speak solemn [truths]; and will produce right [sayings] from my lips.
Mitsanoña hitaroñako raha aman-kasiñe; vaho hañakatse volam-bantañe kanao misokake o soñikoo;
7 For my throat shall meditate truth; and false lips are an abomination before me.
Hivolan-katò ty vavako; fa tiva amo soñikoo o haratiañeo.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.
Songa mahity o entam-bavakoo, tsy ama’e ty mikeloke ndra mengoke.
9 They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.
Ie vantañe amy mahihitsey vaho mahity ami’ty maha-onin-kilala.
10 Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tried gold.
Rambeso o fañòhakoo, fa tsy volafoty; naho ty hilala fa tsy volamena nitsoheñe;
11 For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.
Fa lombolombo’ o hangeo ty hihitse, vaho tsy eo ty salalaeñe mañirinkiriñ’aze.
12 I wisdom have dwelt [with] counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.
Izaho, hihitse, ro miharo-toboke ami’ty filieram-batañe, vaho manjo hilala naho fitalifirañe.
13 The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, and insolence, and pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.
Malain-karatiañe ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà. hejeko ty firengeañe, ty fibohabohañe, ty satan-karatiañe, naho ty vava mitera.
14 Counsel and safety are mine; prudence is mine, and strength is mine.
Amako ty fanoroañe, naho ty hihitse do’e, Izaho o hilalao; ahy o haozarañeo.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
Izaho ty ifehea’ o mpanjakao, naho anoa’ o mpifeheo lily vantañe.
16 By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.
Izaho ty ifeleha’ o mpifelekeo naho o roandriañeo, ze hene mpizaka-to.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me shall find [me].
Kokoako ze mikoko ahiko, naho handrèndrek’ ahy ze mitsoek’ ahy.
18 Wealth and glory belong to me; yea, abundant possessions and righteousness.
Rekets’ amako ty vara naho ty asiñe; hanàñañe tsy modo naho havañonañe.
19 [It is] better to have my fruit than [to have] gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.
Soa te amo volamenao ty havokarako eka ndra volamena ki’e, vaho ambone’ ty volafoty jinoboñe o firegoregoakoo.
20 I walk in ways of righteousness, and [am] conversant with the paths of judgment;
Manjotik’ an-dalam-bantan-draho, añivo o oloñolon-kavantañañeo,
21 that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. If I declare to you the things that daily happen, I will remember [also] to recount the things of old.
hampandovàko vara o mpikoko ahio, naho hatseheko o kipondi’ iareoo.
22 The Lord made me the beginning of his ways for his works.
Tsinene’ Iehovà raho ho fifotoran-dala’e, ty valoham-pitoloña’e haehae zay.
23 He established me before time [was] in the beginning, before he made the earth:
Tsietoimoneke izay ty nañorizañ’ ahiko, tam-baloha’ey, taolo te nioreñe ty tane toy.
24 even before he made the depths; before the fountains of water came forth:
Ie mboe tsy teo o lalekeo ty niterahañ’ ahy, ie mboe tsy nidoadoañan-drano o loharanoo.
25 before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me.
Ie mboe tsy nipetake o vohitseo, taolo o tambohoo, te naterake;
26 The Lord made countries and uninhabited [tracks], and the highest inhabited parts of the world.
Ie mboe tsy niforoñe’e ty tane toy naho o hivokeo, ndra ty deboke valoha’ ty tane toy.
27 When he prepared the heaven, I was present with him; and when he prepared his throne upon the winds:
Ie nampijadoñe o likerañeo, teo iraho, Ie nanokitse ty bontoly ami’ty tarehe’ i lalekey eñe,
28 and when he strengthened the clouds above; and when he secured the fountains of the earth:
Ie natobe’e an-toe’e ey o likerañ’ amboneo, naho nampitosire’e o loha-rano’ i làlekeio.
29 decree. and when he strengthened the foundations of the earth:
Ie nifahera’e i riakey, tsy handilara’ o ranoo i nandilia’ey; ie tinendre’e o faha-ty tane toio,
30 I was by him, suiting [myself to him], I was that wherein he took delight; and daily I rejoiced in his presence continually.
Le nirekets’ ama’e iraho fa natokisañe, naho nampifaleako lomoñandro, nainai’e nirebek’ aolo’e.
31 For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.
Nihisa an-tanem-pimoneña’e vaho nahaehak’ ahy o ana’ ondatio.
32 Now then, [my] son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall hearken to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;
Ie amy zao, ry anake, mitsendreña ahy: Haha ze mañorike o lalakoo.
33 [Hear wisdom and be wise, and ] [be not strangers to it. ]
Mitsanoña fañòhañe naho mahihira, vaho ko mifoneñe.
34 watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.
Haha t’indaty mitsendreñe ahy, ty misary nainai’e an-dalam-beiko eo mandiñe an-dahin-dalako eo.
35 For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and [in them] is prepared favour from the Lord.
Ze tendrek’ ahiko tendre-kaveloñe, vaho tolora’ Iehovà fañisohañe;
36 But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls: and they that hate me love death.
Fe ze losotse ahy mijoy vatañe; fonga mikoko havilasy ze malaiñe ahy.
