< Proverbs 30 >

1 These things says the man to them that trust in God; and I cease.
Ny teny mavesa-danja nataon’ i Agora, zanak’ i Jake, dia ny teny nataon-dralehilahy tamin’ Itiela, eny, tamin’ Itiela sy Okala:
2 For I am the most simple of all men, and there is not in me the wisdom of men.
Izaho dia biby, fa tsy olona, Ary tsy manan-tsain’ olombelona aho.
3 God has taught me wisdom, and I know the knowledge of the holy.
Tsy nianatra fahendrena aho, Na nahazo ny fahalalana ny Iray Masìna.
4 Who has gone up to heaven, and come down? who has gathered the winds in his bosom? who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? who has dominion of all the ends of the earth? what is his name? or what is the name of his children?
Iza no efa niakatra tany an-danitra sady nidina indray? Iza no nahangona ny rivotra tao an-tànany? Iza no nahafono ny rano tamin’ ny lambany? Iza no nahamisy ny faran’ ny tany rehetra? Iza no anarany, ary iza no anaran’ ny zanany? Fa toa fantatrao!
5 For all the words of God are tried in the fire, and he defends those that reverence him.
Ny tenin’ Andriamanitra dia voadio avokoa; Ampinga ho an’ izay mialoka aminy Izy.
6 Add not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be made a liar.
Aza manampy ny teniny, fandrao hanariny ianao Ka ho hita fa mpandainga.
7 Two things I ask of thee; take not favour from me before I die.
Zavatra roa loha no angatahiko aminao; Ka aza lavinao, dieny tsy mbola maty aho:
8 Remove far from me vanity and falsehood: and give me not wealth [or] poverty; but appoint me what is needful and sufficient:
Ampanalaviro ahy ny zava-poana sy ny lainga; Aza manome ahy alahelo na harena; Fahano aho amin’ izay anjara-hanina sahaza ho ahy;
9 lest I be filled and become false, and say, Who sees me? or be poor and steal, and swear [vainly] by the name of God.
Fandrao, raha voky aho, dia handà Ka hanao hoe: Iza moa Jehovah? Ary andrao, raha tonga malahelo aho, dia hangalatra Ka hanamavo ny anaran’ Andriamanitro.
10 Deliver not a servant into the hands of his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be utterly destroyed.
Aza manendrikendrika ny mpanompo amin’ ny tompony, Fandrao hozoniny ianao ka hahazo heloka.
11 A wicked generation curse their father, and do not bless their mother.
Misy taranaka izay manozona ny rainy Sady tsy misaotra ny reniny.
12 A wicked generation judge themselves to be just, but do not cleanse their way.
Misy taranaka manao azy ho madio, Kanjo tsy voasasa ho afaka amin’ ny fahalotoany.
13 A wicked generation have lofty eyes, and exalt themselves with their eyelids.
Misy taranaka, endrey ny fiandrandran’ ny masony Sy ny fisondrotry ny hodi-masony!
14 A wicked generation have swords [for] teeth and jaw-teeth [as] knives, so as to destroy and devour the lowly from the earth, and the poor of them from among men.
Misy taranaka izay toy ny sabatra ny nifiny, Ary toy ny antsy ny vazany, Hamongotra ny ory tsy ho amin’ ny tany Sy ny malahelo tsy ho amin’ ny olona.
15 The horse-leech had three dearly-beloved daughters: and these three did not satisfy her; and the fourth was not contented so as to say, Enough.
Ny dinta manan-janakavavy roa, dia ny hoe: Omeo, Omeo. Misy zavatra telo tsy mety voky, Eny, efatra aza no tsy manao hoe: Aoka izay:
16 The grave, and the love of a woman, and the earth not filled with water; water also and fire will not say, It is enough. (Sheol h7585)
Ny fiainan-tsi-hita; sy ny kibo momba, Ny tany izay tsy vonton-drano, Ary ny afo koa no tsy mba manao hoe: Aoka izay. (Sheol h7585)
17 The eye that laughs to scorn a father, and dishonours the old age of a mother, let the ravens of the valleys pick it out, and let the young eagles devour it.
Ny maso izay miandranandrana amin-dray Sady tsy mety manaja reny Dia hotsaingotsaingohin’ ny goaika eny an-dohasahan-driaka Ary hohanin’ ny zana-boromahery.
18 Moreover there are three things impossible for me to comprehend, and the fourth I know not:
Misy zavatra telo mahagaga ka tsy takatro, Eny, efatra aza no tsy fantatro:
19 the track of a flying eagle; and the ways of a serpent on a rock; and the paths of a ship passing through the sea; and the ways of a man in youth.
Ny nalehan’ ny voromahery teny amin’ ny habakabaka, Ny nalehan’ ny bibilava teny amin’ ny vatolampy, Ny nalehan’ ny sambo teny amin’ ny ranomasina, Ary ny nalehan’ ny lehilahy tamin’ ny tovovavy.
20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman, who having washed herself from what she has done, says she has done nothing amiss.
Tahaka izany koa no fanaon’ ny vehivavy mpijangajanga: Homana izy, dia mamafa ny vavany, Ka dia manao hoe: Tsy nanao ratsy aho.
21 By three thing the earth is troubled, and the fourth it cannot bear:
Izao fitondrana telo izao no tsy mampandry ny tany, Eny, zavatra efatra aza no tsy zakany;
22 if a servant reign; or a fool be filled with food;
Raha ny andevo no tonga mpanjaka, Raha ny adala no voky hanina,
23 or if a maid-servant should cast out her own mistress; and if a hateful woman should marry a good man.
Raha ny vehivavy lany zara no ampakarina, Ary raha ny ankizivavy no mandova ny tompovaviny.
24 And [there are] four very little things upon the earth, but these are wiser than the wise:
Izao zavatra efatra izao dia kely amin’ ny etỳ ambonin’ ny tany, Nefa hendry sady mahay:
25 the ants which are weak, and [yet] prepare [their] food in summer;
Ny vitsika dia firenena tsy matanjaka, Nefa manangona ny haniny amin’ ny fahavaratra izy;
26 the rabbits also [are] a feeble race, who make their houses in the rocks.
Ny biby hyraka dia firenena tsy manan-kery, Nefa manao ny tranony ao amin’ ny harambato izy;
27 The locusts have no king, and [yet] march orderly at one command.
Ny valala tsy manana mpanjaka, Nefa izy rehetra miainga manao antokony tsara;
28 And the eft, which supports itself by [its] hands, and is easily taken, dwells in the fortresses of kings.
Ny antsiantsy dia mandady amin’ ny tànany, Nefa tonga ao an-tranon’ ny mpanjaka izy.
29 And there are three things which go well, and a fourth which passes along finely.
Misy zavatra telo izay tsara famindra, Eny, efatra aza no tsara fandeha;
30 A lion's whelp, stronger than [all other] beasts, which turns not away, nor fears [any] beast;
Dia ny liona, izay mahery indrindra amin’ ny biby Ka tsy mihemotra na amin’ inona na amin’ inona,
31 and a cock walking in boldly among the hens, and the goat leading the herd; and a king publicly speaking before a nation.
Ny soavaly voaomana hiady sy ny osilahy Ary ny mpanjaka tsy azo toherina.
32 If thou abandon thyself to mirth, and stretch forth thine hand in a quarrel, thou shalt be disgraced.
Raha adala ka nanandra-tena ianao, Na efa nisaina hanao ratsy, Dia tampeno ny tananao ny vavanao.
33 Milk out milk, and there shall be butter, and if thou wing [one's] nostrils there shall come out blood: so if thou extort words, there will come forth quarrels and strifes.
Ny fanontsankontsanana ny ronono no miteraka rononomandry, Ny fanolanana ny orona no miteraka rà; Ary ny fanetsiketsehana ny fahatezerana no miteraka ady.
