1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
BOEIPA loh Moses te a voek tih,
2 Make to thyself two silver trumpets: thou shalt make them of beaten work; and they shall be to thee for the purpose of calling the assembly, and of removing the camps.
“Namah ham cak olueng panit saii lamtah cakben boh thil. Te rhoi te nang ham rhaengpuei tingtunnah neh lambong hlahnah lam khaw om saeh.
3 And thou shalt sound with them, and all the congregation shall be gathered to the door of the tabernacle of witness.
Te te a ueng uh vaengah tah rhaengpuei boeih he tingtunnah dap thohka ah nang taengla tuentah uh saeh.
4 And if they shall sound with one, all the rulers even the princes of Israel shall come to thee.
Tedae pakhat bueng a ueng uh atah Israel thawng khat kah boeilu, khoboei rhoek te nang taengah tuentah uh saeh.
5 And ye shall sound an alarm, and the camps pitched eastward shall begin to move.
Tamlung pacuek na ueng vaengah khothoeng ah aka rhaeh caem rhoek te hlah uh saeh.
6 And ye shall sound a second alarm, and the camps pitched southward shall move; and ye shall sound a third alarm, and the camps pitched westward shall move forward; and ye shall sound a fourth alarm, and they that encamp toward the north shall move forward: they shall sound an alarm at their departure.
Tamlung pabae neh a ueng bal vaengah tuithim ah aka rhaeh caem te hlah uh saeh. Amih hlahnah ham tamlung neh ueng uh saeh.
7 And whenever ye shall gather the assembly, ye shall sound, but not an alarm.
Tedae hlangping te tingtun sak ham vaengah na ueng uh akhaw yuhui uh boeh.
8 And the priests the sons of Aaron shall sound with the trumpets; and it shall be a perpetual ordinance for you throughout your generations.
Te vaengah Aaron koca khosoih rhoek loh olueng te ueng uh saeh lamtah nangmih ham neh na cadilcahma ham khaw kumhal kah khosing la om saeh.
9 And if ye shall go forth to war in your land against your enemies that are opposed to you, then shall ye sound with the trumpets; and ye shall be had in remembrance before the Lord, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
Na khohmuen ah rhal taengah caemtloek la na caeh uh vaengah khaw, puen na cak vaengah khaw olueng te ueng uh. Tedae BOEIPA na Pathen kah mikhmuh ah na poek uh daengah ni na thunkha taeng lamloh n'khang eh.
10 And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall sound with the trumpets at your whole-burnt-offerings, and at the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and there shall be a memorial for you before your God: I [am] the Lord your God.
Na kohoenah hnin ah khaw, na khoning vaengah khaw, na hlasae tuung vaengah khaw na hmueihhlutnah neh nangmih kah rhoepnah hmueih te olueng neh ueng thil lamtah na Pathen mikhmuh ah nangmih ham poekkoepnah la om saeh. Kai Yahweh he nangmih kah Pathen ni,” a ti nah.
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud went up from the tabernacle of witness.
A kum bae hla bae dongah hlasae hnin kul a pha vaengah, cingmai te laipainah dungtlungim dong lamloh nong.
12 And the children of Israel set forward with their baggage in the wilderness of Sina; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan.
Te dongah Israel ca rhoek te a hlahnah Sinai khosoek lamloh cet uh tih Paran khosoek ah tah cingmai te a pai pah.
13 And the first rank departed by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Te vaengah Moses kut dongkah BOEIPA olka bangla ana cet lamhma uh.
14 And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Juda with their host; and over their host [was] Naasson, son of Aminadab.
Te dongah lamhma la Judah koca caem kah hnitai te amamih kah caempuei tarhing ah a khuen. Te vaengah Amminadab capa Nahshon loh amah kah caempuei te a mawt.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, [was] Nathanael son of Sogar.
Issakhar ca rhoek koca kah caempuei te Zuar capa Nethanel loh a mawt.
16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon, [was] Eliab the son of Chaelon.
Zebulun ca rhoek koca kah caempuei te Helon capa loh Eliab a mawt.
17 And they shall take down the tabernacle, and the sons of Gedson shall set forward, and the sons of Merari, who bear the tabernacle.
Dungtlungim a hlak van nen tah dungtlungim aka phuei Gershon koca rhoek neh Merari koca rhoek cet uh.
18 And the order of the camp of Ruben set forward with their host; and over their host [was] Elisur the son of Sediur.
Te phoeiah Reuben caem kah hnitai te amamih kah caempuei tarhing ah cet. Te vaengah Shedeur capa Elizur loh a caempuei te a mawt.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Symeon, [was] Salamiel son of Surisadai.
Simeon ca rhoek kah koca caempuei te Zurishaddai capa Shelumiel loh a mawt.
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad, [was] Elisaph the son of Raguel.
Gad ca rhoek kah koca caempuei te Deuel capa Eliasaph loh a mawt.
21 And the sons of Caath shall set forward bearing the holy things, and [the others] shall set up the tabernacle until they arrive.
Te phoeiah rhokso aka kawt Kohathi te cet. Tedae amih a pawk hlan ah dungtlungim te a thoh uh coeng.
22 And the order of the camp of Ephraim shall set forward with their forces; and over their forces [was] Elisama the son of Semiud.
Te phoeiah Ephraim koca caem kah hnitai te amamih kah caempuei tarhing la cet. Te vaengah Ammihud kah capa Elishama loh anih kah caempuei te a mawt.
23 And over the forces of the tribes of the sons of Manasse, [was] Gamaliel the [son] of Phadassur.
Manasseh ca rhoek kah koca caempuei te Pedahzur capa Gamaliel loh a mawt.
24 And over the forces of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, [was] Abidan the [son] of Gadeoni.
Benjamin ca rhoek kah koca caempuei te Gideoni capa Abidan loh a mawt.
25 And the order of the camp of the sons of Dan shall set forward the last of all the camps, with their forces: and over their forces [was] Achiezer the [son] of Amisadai.
Te phoeiah Dan koca caem kah hnitai te cet. Te vaengah caem boeih te amamih caempuei dongah tingtun uh tih a caempuei te Ammishaddai capa Ahiezer loh a mawt.
26 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Aser, [was] Phageel the son of Echran.
Asher ca rhoek kah koca caempuei rhoek te Okran capa Pagiel loh a mawt.
27 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Nephthali, [was] Achire the son of Aenan.
Naphtali ca kah koca caempuei te Enan capa Ahira loh a mawt.
28 These [are] the armies of the children of Israel; and they set forward with their forces.
Israel ca rhoek kah a longcaeh he amamih kah caempuei neh cet uh.
29 And Moses said to Obab the son of Raguel the Madianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are going forward to the place concerning which the Lord said, This will I give to you: Come with us, and we will do thee good, for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel.

30 And he said to him, I will not go, but [I will go] to my land and to my kindred.
Tedae amah te, “Kam vai mahpawh, kamah khohmuen neh ka pacaboeina taengla ka cet mai eh?,” a ti nah.
31 And he said, Leave us not, because thou hast been with us in the wilderness, and thou shalt be an elder among us.
Tedae, “Khosoek ah ka rhaeh uh ham khaw na ming coeng dongah he kaimih n'hnoo boel mai. Kaimih kah mik la om mai.
32 And it shall come to pass if thou wilt go with us, it shall even come to pass that in whatsoever things the Lord shall do us good, we will also do thee good.
Kaimih neh n'caeh mai akhaw a then la om bitni. BOEIPA loh kaimih taengah n'bawn sak van bangla nang taengah kam bawn sak khaw ana om bitni ni,” a ti nah.
33 And they departed from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them a three days' journey to provide rest for them.
Te phoeiah BOEIPA tlang lamloh hnin thum longcaeh la cet uh. Te vaengah amih ham duemnah aka tlap la hnin thum longcaeh hil amih hmai ah BOEIPA kah paipi thingkawng te a caeh pah.
34 And the cloud overshadowed them by day, when they departed from the camp.
Rhaehhmuen lamloh a caeh uh neh hnin takuem amih soah BOEIPA kah cingmai a om pah.
35 And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Arise, O Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered: let all that hate thee flee.
Thingkawng a caeh van neh Moses loh, “BOEIPA aw thoo lamtah, na thunkha te taekyak uh saeh, na lunguet rhoek khaw na mikhmuh lamloh rhaelrham uh saeh,” a ti.
36 And in the resting he said, Turn again, O Lord, the thousands [and] tens of thousands in Israel.
A duem vaengah khaw, “BOEIPA aw, Israel kah, thawng thawngrha taengla mael laeh,” a ti.
