Leviticus 19
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
൧യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:
2 Speak to the congregation of the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Ye shall be holy; for I the Lord your God [am] holy.
൨“നീ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ സർവ്വസഭയോടും പറയേണ്ടത് എന്തെന്നാൽ: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധനാകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുവീൻ.
3 Let every one of you reverence his father and his mother; and ye shall keep my sabbaths: I [am] the Lord your God.
൩നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ അമ്മയെയും അപ്പനെയും ഭയപ്പെടണം; എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ പ്രമാണിക്കണം: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
4 Ye shall not follow idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I [am] the Lord your God.
൪വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിയരുത്; ദേവന്മാരെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
5 And if ye will sacrifice a peace-offering to the Lord, ye shall offer it acceptable from yourselves.
൫യഹോവയ്ക്കു സമാധാനയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അർപ്പിക്കണം.
6 In what day soever ye shall sacrifice it, it shall be eaten; and on the following day, and if any of it should be left till the third day, it shall be thoroughly burnt with fire.
൬അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദിവസവും പിറ്റെന്നാളും അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; മൂന്നാം ദിവസംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്നതു തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയണം.
7 And if it should be at all eaten on the third day, it is unfit for sacrifice: it shall not be accepted.
൭മൂന്നാംദിവസം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നു വരികിൽ അത് അറപ്പാകുന്നു; പ്രസാദമാകുകയില്ല.
8 And he that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy things of the Lord; and the souls that eat it shall be destroyed from among their people.
൮അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കും; യഹോവയ്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായത് അവൻ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയല്ലോ; അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം.
9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not complete the reaping of your field with exactness, and thou shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping.
൯“‘നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലത്തിലെ ധാന്യവിള നിങ്ങൾ കൊയ്യുമ്പോൾ വയലിന്റെ അരികു തീർത്തു കൊയ്യരുത്; നിന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിൽ കാലാ പെറുക്കുകയും അരുത്.
10 And thou shalt not go over the gathering of thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the remaining grapes of thy vineyard: thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God.
൧൦നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ കാലാ പറിക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന പഴം പെറുക്കുകയും അരുത്. അവയെ ദരിദ്രനും പരദേശിക്കും വിട്ടേക്കണം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
11 Ye shall not steal, ye shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbour.
൧൧മോഷ്ടിക്കരുത്, ചതിക്കരുത്, ഒരുവനോട് ഒരുവൻ ഭോഷ്കുപറയരുത്.
12 And ye shall not swear unjustly by my name, and ye shall not profane the holy name of your God: I am the Lord your God.
൧൨എന്റെ നാമത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു കള്ളസ്സത്യം ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
13 Thou shalt not injure thy neighbour, neither do thou rob [him], neither shall the wages of thy hireling remain with thee until the morning.
൧൩കൂട്ടുകാരനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുത്; അവനെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കുകയും അരുത്; കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ കൂലി പിറ്റേന്നു രാവിലെവരെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഇരിക്കരുത്.
14 Thou shalt not revile the deaf, neither shalt thou put a stumbling-block in the way of the blind; and thou shalt fear the Lord thy God: I am the Lord your God.
൧൪ചെകിടനെ ശപിക്കരുത്; കുരുടന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തടസ്സം വെക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
15 Thou shalt not act unjustly in judgment: thou shalt not accept the person of the poor, nor admire the person of the mighty; with justice shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
൧൫ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിൽ അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുത്; എളിയവന്റെ മുഖം നോക്കാതെയും വലിയവന്റെ മുഖം ആദരിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനു നീതിയോടെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കണം.
16 Thou shalt not walk deceitfully among thy people; thou shalt not rise up against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord your God.
൧൬നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ഏഷണി പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ജീവനെതിരായി നീ നിലപാടെടുക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, so thou shalt not bear sin on his account.
൧൭സഹോദരനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ദ്വേഷിക്കരുത്; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പാപം നിന്റെമേൽ വരാതിരിക്കുവാൻ അവനെ നിശ്ചയമായി ശാസിക്കണം. പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യരുത്.
18 And thy hand shall not avenge thee; and thou shalt not be angry with the children of thy people; and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; I am the Lord.
൧൮നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മക്കളോടു പക വെക്കരുത്; കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
19 Ye shall observe my law: thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with one of a different kind, and thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diverse seed; and thou shalt not put upon thyself a mingled garment woven of two [materials].
൧൯നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിക്കണം. രണ്ടുതരം മൃഗങ്ങളെ തമ്മിൽ ഇണ ചേർക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ വയലിൽ കൂട്ടുവിത്തു വിതയ്ക്കരുത്; രണ്ടു വക സാധനം കലർന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുത്.
20 And if any one lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home-servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, [and] her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited [with punishment]; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.
൨൦ഒരു പുരുഷന് നിയമിച്ചവളും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയോ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്തവളുമായ ഒരു ദാസിയോടുകൂടി ഒരുവൻ ശയിച്ചാൽ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കണം. എന്നാൽ അവൾ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമില്ലാത്തവളായതുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ കൊല്ലരുത്;
21 And he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of witness, a ram for a trespass-offering.
൨൧അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിനായി സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കൽ ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെ കൊണ്ടുവരണം.
22 And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, before the Lord, for the sin which he sinned; and the sin which he sinned shall be forgiven him.
൨൨അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപത്തിനായി പുരോഹിതൻ അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിന്റെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെക്കൊണ്ട് അവനുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കണം; എന്നാൽ അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപം അവനോട് ക്ഷമിക്കും.
23 And whenever ye shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall plant any fruit-tree, then shall ye purge away its uncleanness; its fruit shall be three years uncleansed to you, it shall not be eaten.
൨൩നിങ്ങൾ ദേശത്ത് എത്തി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന് ഉതകുന്ന സകലവിധ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നട്ടശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അവയുടെ ഫലം പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അത് മൂന്നു വർഷത്തേക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമായത് പോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.
24 And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a subject of praise to the Lord.
൨൪നാലാം വർഷത്തിൽ അതിന്റെ ഫലമെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സ്തോത്രത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കണം.
25 And in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruit, its produce is an increase to you. I am the Lord your God.
൨൫അഞ്ചാം വർഷത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അതിന്റെ ഫലം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; അങ്ങനെ അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
26 Eat not on the mountains, nor shall ye employ auguries, nor divine by inspection of birds.
൨൬രക്തത്തോടുകൂടിയുള്ളതു തിന്നരുത്; ആഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുത്; മുഹൂർത്തം നോക്കരുത്;
27 Ye shall not make a round cutting of the hair of your head, nor disfigure your beard.
൨൭നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുടി ചുറ്റും വിളുമ്പു വടിക്കരുത്; താടിയുടെ അറ്റം വിരൂപമാക്കരുത്.
28 And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a [dead] body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God.
൨൮മരിച്ചവനുവേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരത്തിൽ മുറിവുണ്ടാക്കരുത്; ശരീരത്തിന്മേൽ പച്ചകുത്തരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
29 Thou shalt not profane thy daughter to prostitute her; so the land shall not go a whoring, and the land be filled with iniquity.
൨൯ദേശം വേശ്യാവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു ദുഷ്കർമ്മംകൊണ്ടു നിറയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനു നിന്റെ മകളെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിക്ക് ഏല്പിക്കരുത്.
30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuaries: I am the Lord.
൩൦നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ പ്രമാണിക്കുകയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തോടു ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുകയും വേണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
31 Ye shall not attend to those who have in them divining spirits, nor attach yourselves to enchanters, to pollute yourselves with them: I am the Lord your God.
൩൧വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരുടെയും മന്ത്രവാദികളുടെയും അടുക്കൽ പോകരുത്. അവരാൽ അശുദ്ധരായ്തീരുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ അന്വേഷിക്കുകയും അരുത്. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord your God.
൩൨നരച്ചവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുകയും വൃദ്ധന്റെ മുഖം ബഹുമാനിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും വേണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
33 And if there should come to you a stranger in your land, ye shall not afflict him.
൩൩പരദേശി നിന്നോടുകൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു പാർത്താൽ അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കരുത്.
34 The stranger that comes to you shall be among you as the native, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
൩൪നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടി പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വദേശിയെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അവനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കണം; നിങ്ങളും ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പരദേശികളായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
35 Ye shall not act unrighteously in judgment, in measures and weights and scales.
൩൫ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിലും അളവിലും തൂക്കത്തിലും നിങ്ങൾ അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുത്.
36 There shall be among you just balances and just weights and just liquid measure. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
൩൬ശരിയായ തുലാസ്സും ശരിയായ കട്ടിയും ശരിയായ പറയും ശരിയായ ഇടങ്ങഴിയും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
37 And ye shall keep all my law and all my ordinances, and ye shall do them: I am the Lord your God.
൩൭നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ എല്ലാ ചട്ടങ്ങളും സകലവിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ച് അനുസരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു’”.
