Leviticus 12

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, spunând:

2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whatsoever woman shall have conceived and born a male child shall be unclean seven days, she shall be unclean according to the days of separation for her monthly courses.

Vorbește copiilor lui Israel, zicând: Dacă o femeie rămâne însărcinată și naște un copil de parte bărbătească, să fie necurată șapte zile; conform cu zilele separării, pentru infirmitatea ei, să fie necurată.

3 And on the eighth day she shall circumcise the flesh of his foreskin.

Și în ziua a opta prepuțul lui să fie circumcis.

4 And for thirty-three days she shall continue in her unclean blood; she shall touch nothing holy, and shall not enter the sanctuary, until the days of her purification be fulfilled.

Și să continue în sângele curățirii ei treizeci și trei de zile; să nu atingă niciun lucru sfânt, nici să nu intre în sanctuar, până când zilele purificării ei vor fi împlinite.

5 But if she should have born a female child, then she shall be unclean twice seven days, according to the time of her monthly courses; and for sixty-six days shall she remain in her unclean blood.

Dar dacă ea naște un copil de parte femeiască, atunci să fie necurată două săptămâni, ca în separarea ei, și să continue în sângele curățirii ei șaizeci și șase de zile.

6 And when the days of her purification shall have been fulfilled for a son or a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of a year old without blemish for a whole-burnt-offering, and a young pigeon or turtle-dove for a sin-offering to the door of the tabernacle of witness, to the priest.

Și când zilele curățirii ei sunt împlinite, pentru un fiu, sau pentru o fiică, să aducă un miel de un an, ca ofrandă arsă și un porumbel tânăr sau o turturea, ca ofrandă pentru păcat, la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii, la preot;

7 And he shall present it before the Lord, and the priest shall make atonement for her, and shall purge her from the fountain of her blood; this is the law of her who bears a male or a female.

Acesta să le aducă înaintea DOMNULUI și să facă ispășire pentru ea; iar ea să fie curățată de scurgerea sângerării ei. Aceasta este legea pentru cea care a născut parte bărbătească sau parte femeiască.

8 And if she cannot afford a lamb, then shall she take two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, one for a whole-burnt-offering, and one for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be purified.

Și dacă nu este în stare să aducă un miel, atunci să aducă două turturele, sau doi porumbei tineri; unul pentru ofranda arsă și celălalt ca ofrandă pentru păcat; și preotul să facă ispășire pentru ea, iar ea să fie curată.
