Jonas 2
1 And Jonas prayed to the Lord his God out of the belly of the whale,
౧ఆ చేప కడుపులోనుంచి యోనా యెహోవాకు ఇలా ప్రార్థించాడు,
2 and said, I cried in my affliction to the Lord my God, and he hearkened to me, [even] to my cry out of the belly of hell: thou heardest my voice. (Sheol h7585)
౨“నా ఆపదలో నేను యెహోవాకు మొర్రపెట్టాను. ఆయన నాకు జవాబిచ్చాడు. మృత్యులోకం నుంచి నేను కేకలు వేస్తే నువ్వు నా స్వరం విన్నావు. (Sheol h7585)
3 Thou didst cast me into the depths of the heart of the sea, and the floods compassed me: all thy billows and thy waves have passed upon me.
౩నువ్వు నన్ను అగాధంలో, సముద్రగర్భంలో పడవేశావు. ప్రవాహాలు నన్ను చుట్టుకున్నాయి. నీ అలలూ తరంగాలూ నా మీదుగా వెళ్తున్నాయి.
4 And I said, I am cast out of thy presence: shall I indeed look again toward thy holy temple?
౪నీ సన్నిధినుంచి నన్ను తరిమి వేసినా, నీ పరిశుద్ధాలయం వైపు మళ్ళీ చూస్తాను అనుకున్నాను.
5 Water was poured around me to the soul: the lowest deep compassed me, my head went down
౫నీళ్ళు నన్ను చుట్టుకోవడంతో నేను కొనప్రాణంతో ఉన్నాను. సముద్రాగాధం నన్ను ఆవరించి ఉంది. సముద్రపు నాచు నా తలకు చుట్టుకుంది.
6 to the clefts of the mountains; I went down into the earth, whose bars are the everlasting barriers: yet, O Lord my God, let my ruined life be restored.
౬నేను మరెన్నటికీ ఎక్కి రాకుండా భూమి గడియలు నన్ను మూసివేశాయి. పర్వతాల పునాదుల్లోకి నేను దిగిపోయాను. నా దేవా, యెహోవా, నువ్వు నా జీవాన్ని అగాధంలో నుంచి పైకి రప్పించావు.
7 When my soul was failing me, I remembered the Lord; and may my prayer come to thee into thy holy temple.
౭నా ప్రాణం నాలో కృశిస్తూ ఉంటే నేను యెహోవాను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నాను. నీ పరిశుద్ధాలయంలోకి నీదగ్గరికి నా ప్రార్థన చేరింది.
8 They that observe vanities and lies have forsaken their own mercy.
౮వ్యర్థమైన విగ్రహ దేవుళ్ళ మీద లక్ష్యం ఉంచేవాళ్ళు తమ కొరకైన నీ విశ్వాస్యతను నిరాకరిస్తున్నారు.
9 But I will sacrifice to thee with the voice of praise and thanksgiving: all that I have vowed I will pay to thee, the Lord of [my] salvation.
౯నా మట్టుకు నేను కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులతో నీకు బలి సమర్పిస్తాను. నేను మొక్కుకున్న దాన్ని తప్పక నెరవేరుస్తాను. యెహోవా దగ్గరే రక్షణ దొరుకుతుంది.”
10 And the whale was commanded by the Lord, and it cast up Jonas on the dry [land].
౧౦అప్పుడు యెహోవా చేపకు ఆజ్ఞాపించగానే అది యోనాను పొడి నేల మీద కక్కి వేసింది.
